Frequently Asked Questions—JW Library (iOS)
JW Library is compatible with devices that run one of the following operating systems:
Android 7.0 or later
iOS 15.0 or later
macOS with M1 or newer chip
Windows 10 Version 1903 or later
To keep JW Library secure and reliable, at times it is necessary to raise the minimum requirements to run the app. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the operating system on your device up-to-date. If you cannot update your device to the minimum version required, the app may still run but it will not have the latest features.
New languages are released periodically. To see the list of available languages for a publication, tap the Language button.
The colors correspond to the eight groupings explained in Question 19 of An Introduction to God’s Word.
JW Library will have the same basic functionality on all platforms. However, features and updates to the app may be released at different times for each platform.
Yes. You can save your notes, tags, highlights, favorites, and bookmarks to a backup file. This file can be restored on the same device or a different device.
No. At this time, your notes, tags, highlights, favorites and bookmarks cannot be synchronized across devices.
Problem: After updating to the latest version of JW Library, you may see a message that your notes and highlights were lost. You cannot see your personal notes, tags, highlights, favorites, and bookmarks.
Solution: An updated version of the app may fix the problem. Install the next available update, and follow the on-screen directions to restore your notes and highlights.
