UJesu ube nelanga elimajadu tle. Nakabuya esifundeni seDekapolisi upholise umfazi ophopha iingazi, wavusa nendodakazi kaJayirosi ekufeni. Kodwana ilangeli alikapheli. Njengombana uJesu aphuma kwaJayirosi, amadoda amabili aziimphofu ayamlandela, ayarhuwelela athi: “Ndodana kaDavida, sirhawukela.”​—Matewu 9:27.

Ngokubiza uJesu ngokuthi “Ndodana kaDavida,” amadoda la atjengisa bona ayakholwa ukuthi uJesu uyindlalifa yesihlalo sobukhosi sakaDavida, lokho-ke kumenza abe nguMesiya. UJesu wenza ngasuthi akanandaba nokurhuwelela kwawo, mhlamunye ufuna ukubona ukuthi azokuphikelela na. Nambala ayaphikelela. UJesu ungena ngendlini ethileko, amadoda la ayamlandela angena ngaphakathi. Athoma ukubona khonokho! Njengombana atjele abanye phambilini, uJesu uwadosa ngendlebe amadoda la, uwatjela bona angayiphathi yokuthi apholiswe njani. Kodwana ngebanga lethabo, amadoda la akhuluma ngendaba le kiso soke isifundeso.

Njengombana amadoda la akhamba, abantu baletha enye indoda enedimoni elenza ibe simumu. UJesu uyaliqotha idimonelo, indoda le ithoma ukukhuluma. Nasibona lokho isiqubuthu sirareka kwamambala, sithi: “Siyathoma ukubona into enjengale kwa-Israyeli.” NabaFarisi bakhona lapho. Angekhe bayiphika imikarisomraro uJesu ayenzako, nje-ke babuyelela into ekhe bayitjho phambilini malungana nokuthi uJesu uwathathaphi amandla wokwenza imikarisomraro, ­bathi: “Uqotha amadimoni ngombusi wamadi­moni.”​—Matewu 9:33, 34.

Mhlokho abantu bathoma ngokukarwa zizinto azitjhoko, kodwana ngokukhamba kwesikhathi zabaphatha kumbi iimfundiso zakhe begodu balinga ukumbulala. Nje-ke uJesu uthi akalinge godu ukusiza abomakhelwana bakhe.

NgeSabatha, ubuyela esinagogeni uyokufundisa. Abanengi kuyabakara abakuzwako bebabuza nokuthi: “Umuntu lo ukuthathaphi ukuhlakanipha okungaka namandla wokwenza iimangaliso?” Godu bathi: “Kghani akusiyindodana yombazi le? Unina akusinguMariya, nabafowabo akusinguJakopo, uJosefa, uSimoni noJudasi? Nabo boke abodadwabo, abahlali nathi la? Alo-ke, ukuthathaphi koke lokhu?”​—Matewu 13:54-56.

Abantwaba bacabanga ukuthi uJesu umumuntu nje, njengawo woke umuntu wendawo leyo. Ngeenhliziyweni zabo bathi, ‘Ukhulele la phambi kwethu, alo-ke angaba njani nguMesiya?’ Ngebanga lalokho, naphezu kwabo boke ubufakazi​—kuhlanganise ukuhlakanipha kwakaJesu okubabazekako nemikarisomraro ayenzako​—bayamnina. Ngebanga lokuthi zimjayele uJesu, ngitjho neenhlobo zakhe azimkholwa, okumenza athi: “Umphorofidi uyahlonitjhwa kezinye iindawo ngaphandle kwendaweni yekhabo nemzinakhe.”​—Matewu 13:57.

Kumrara khulu uJesu ukungakholwa kwabo. Yeke akenzi imikarisomraro lapho ‘ngaphandle kokubeka abantu abambalwa abagulako izandla, abalaphe.’​—Markosi 6:5, 6..
