How We Fit Make Good Decisions

All of us de make decisions. Plenty of this decisions fit affect us for good or bad and even our relationship with Jehovah. For example, we fit decide where we go live, which work we go do to get money, or whether we go marry. When we make good decisions, we go dey happy and make Jehovah happy.

1. How Bible fit help you make good decisions?

Before you make any decision, pray make Jehovah help you and check Bible to see how Jehovah de see the matter. (Read Proverbs 2:3-6.) For some matters, Jehovah de give direct command. For this case, the best decision na to obey the command.

What if Bible no give direct command about wetin you want do? For this kind matter, Jehovah go still guide you for “the road wey you suppose to follow.” (Isaiah 48:17) How? E de give direction for Bible to guide you. Bible direction na the simple truth for Bible to show how God de think and feel. Plenty times, when we read one story for Bible, e fit help us know how God de feel about one matter. When we know how Jehovah de feel, we go make decisions wey Jehovah go dey happy with.

2. Wetin you suppose think about before you make any decision?

Bible talk say: “Wise person de think well before e do something.” (Proverbs 14:15) E mean say before we make any decision, we need to take time, think about wetin we want do. As you de think about-am, ask yourself: ‘Which Bible direction go help me for this matter? Which decision go give me peace of mind? How my decision go affect other people? The one wey dey important pass na, my decision go make Jehovah happy?’—Deuteronomy 32:29.

Jehovah get right to tell us wetin good and wetin bad. When we really understand the laws and the direction from Bible and de follow them, we de train our conscience. Conscience na the sense inside us and e de tell us whether something correct or e bad. (Romans 2:14, 15) When we train our conscience, e go help us make good decisions.

Read Romans 15:1 and 1 Corinthians 10:23, 24, and talk about this questions:

Example 2: One brother know say Bible no talk say e bad to drink alcohol, but e decide say e no go even drink-am at all. They invite the brother to one occasion and e see as other brothers de drink alcohol.

Read Ecclesiastes 7:16 and Romans 14:1, 10, and talk about this questions:

Which things you need to do to make good decision?

1. Beg Jehovah to help you decide wetin you want do. —James 1:5.

2. Make research for Bible and our other books to see the direction wey you fit follow. You fit still talk with mature Christians.

3. Check how the decision go affect your conscience and the conscience of other people.
