No Judge With Wetin You De See

No Judge With Wetin You De See

“Stop to judge with wetin eye de see, but judge with wetin dey right.”—JOHN 7:24.

SONG: 142, 123

1. Wetin Isaiah talk about Jesus wey e go happen for future, and why the thing make our mind come down?

PROPHET Isaiah talk something about our Lord Jesus, and wetin e talk go happen for future. The thing wey e talk de make us glad and e de encourage us. E say Jesus “no go judge with wetin e eye see, and e no go use only wetin e ear hear correct person.” E “no go do partial when e de judge poor people.” (Isa. 11:3, 4) Why this kind thing go make our mind come down? Na because we de live for world wey wayo and partial dey plenty. So we de wait for the time wey Jesus go be our Judge because e no go ever judge us with wetin e eye see! Stain no go dey the way e go judge.

2. Wetin Jesus command us make we do, and wetin we go talk about for this topic?

2 Na everyday we de talk about people and we get how we de see them. But sin dey our body. This one fit make-am hard us to talk or think the correct thing about people, like Jesus. The thing wey our eye de see de affect us quick-quick. But when Jesus dey this earth, e talk say: “Stop to judge with wetin eye de see, but judge with wetin dey right.” (John 7:24) E clear say Jesus want make we follow e example, and make we no use wetin our eye see judge people. For this topic, we go talk about three things wey them de always affect wetin people think about other people. They be: skin color or tribe, money, and age. As we talk about this three things, we go talk how we go fit follow the thing wey Jesus talk.

NA SKIN COLOR OR TRIBE YOU DE USE JUDGE PEOPLE?

3, 4. (a) Which things make apostle Peter change wetin dey e heart about people wey they no be Jew? (Check the first picture.) (b) Which new truth Jehovah help Peter understand?

3 How you think say apostle Peter feel when they talk say make e go the house of Cornelius for Caesarea? (Acts 10:17-29) Cornelius no be Jew, and from small pikin, Peter believe say this kind people no clean. Na so other Jew people that time still believe. But Peter change the thing wey e believe because some things happen. For example, God show Peter one vision. (Acts 10:9-16) Wetin e see for the vision? E see something like cloth and ontop they put animals wey they no dey clean. The cloth de come down from heaven. Then Peter hear one voice talk say: “Get up, Peter, cut-am and chop-am!” Peter no gree do wetin the voice talk at all. Then, the voice from heaven talk say make e “no de talk say the things no clean. God don make them dey clean.” After the vision, Peter no understand the thing wey the voice de try make e know. Na that time the messengers from Cornelius just come. After God use holy spirit tell Peter make e follow the messengers go the house of Cornelius, e obey.

4 If to say Peter judge with wetin e believe, e no for enter the house of Cornelius at all. Jew people no de enter house of people wey they no be Jew. Why Peter do wetin God talk even as partial dey inside e heart? Na because of the vision wey e see and wetin God use holy spirit talk. So e mind come down. After Peter listen to the thing wey Cornelius talk, the thing touch e heart. Then e talk say: “Now I really understand say God no de do partial, but for every country, the person wey e get the fear of God and de do the right thing, God de accept the person.” (Acts 10:34, 35) Peter really dey happy for this new thing wey e don learn, and this thing go affect all Christians. How?

5. (a) Wetin Jehovah want make all Christian understand? (b) Even though say we know the truth, which thing fit still dey for our heart?

5 Jehovah no de do partial, and e use Peter help us understand this one. Jehovah no de look the skin color wey person get, language, tribe, or country wey person come from. Any man or woman wey e fear God and do the right thing, God de accept that person. (Gal. 3:26-28; Rev. 7:9, 10) True-true, you go don see say this one dey correct. But what if you grow up for family or place wey partial dey plenty? Even if you no think say you de do partial, you no feel say small partial fit still dey inside your heart? Na true say Peter help people know say Jehovah no de do partial. But even with that one, Peter still do partial another time. (Gal. 2:11-14) So, how we fit follow wetin Jesus talk so that we no go de judge people with wetin our eye see?

6. (a) Wetin fit help us make we remove any partial comot from our heart? (b) How the thing wey one elder write show wetin still dey e heart?

6 We need to take time use Bible check ourself whether any sign of partial still dey our heart or mind. (Ps. 119:105) E fit be say other people go need to help us because they fit don see partial for the way we de think. And the truth be say, we fit get this character, but we never notice-am. (Gal. 2:11, 14) Maybe partial dey deep inside us sotey we no even know say we get-am. For example, one elder write about the fine character wey one husband and wife get. The two of them dey full-time service. The husband come from one small tribe wey many people de always see as nothing. Maybe this elder no even know say, for e heart, e de look people from this small tribe as nothing. The elder talk plenty good things about the husband. But for the end, e talk say: “Even though say [this brother] come from [that place], the character wey e get and the way e de live e life, de help other people understand say even if person come [from this tribe], e no mean say e go dirty or live poor life, just like plenty people from [this tribe].” You understand the lesson? No matter who we be for congregation, make we check ourself well. Make we humble ourself and accept help from people so that we fit know if small partial still remain for our heart. Which other thing we fit do?

7. How we fit show say we de open our heart more-more?

7 If we open our heart more, we go allow love make e push partial comot. (2 Cor. 6:11-13) Na only people from your tribe, country, language, or people wey wuna get the same skin color you de always spend time with? If na so, open your heart more. Why you no invite people wey their place different from your own make they join you for preaching? You fit still invite them come your house make wuna chop together, or for small party. (Acts 16:14, 15) If you do like that, you go see say love go full your heart and space no go dey for partial again. But e still get other things wey our eye de see wey they fit affect wetin we de think about other people. Make we talk about money and property.

NA MONEY AND PROPERTY YOU DE LOOK JUDGE PEOPLE?

8. With wetin Leviticus 19:15 talk, how money or property fit affect the way we de see people?

8 Money and property na another thing wey e fit affect the way we de look other people. Leviticus 19:15 talk say: “Make you no treat poor people with partial or favor rich people. You go use the right way judge your neighbor.” But, how money or property wey person get fit affect the way we de see the person?

9. Which bitter truth Solomon talk about for Bible, and wetin that one teach us?

9 Holy spirit move Solomon make e record one bitter truth about human being. For Proverbs 14:20, e talk say: “Poor person de get hatred even from e neighbors. But rich person de get plenty friends.” Wetin this Bible verse teach us? If we no dey careful, we fit want de make friend with brothers wey they get money and leave brothers wey they poor. Why e no good make we allow the money or property wey people get affect the way we de see them?

10. Which problem James talk about?

10 If we allow the money or property wey people get affect the way we de treat them, we fit scatter congregation. The disciple wey e name na James talk say this problem divide some congregation for the time of the apostles. (Read James 2:1-4.) Make we dey careful so that this kind thing no go affect our congregation today. So, wetin we go do make the things wey we de see no affect wetin we de think about people?

11. Na when person dey poor or rich e go fit be tight friend with God? Explain.

11 We need to see our brothers the way Jehovah de see them. Jehovah no de value person because e rich or poor. The amount of money or property wey we get no go ever show whether we go get friendship with God. When Jesus talk say “e go hard make rich man enter the Kingdom of heaven,” na true e talk. But Jesus no talk say they no go fit enter. (Matt. 19:23) Apart from that one, Jesus still talk say: “Wuna wey be poor people go dey happy, because the Kingdom of God na wuna own.” (Luke 6:20) But this one no mean say all the poor people get special blessing and follow wetin Jesus teach them. The truth be say, no be all of them follow Jesus. So wetin be the lesson? No be the amount of property wey person get we go use know whether the person na tight friend with God or e no be tight friend.

12. Wetin Bible teach rich and poor people?

12 We get rich and poor people among the many people wey them de serve Jehovah with us. They love God and them de serve God with complete heart. Bible tell rich people say make “they put their hope for God instead of money wey e fit disappear anytime.” (Read 1 Timothy 6:17-19.) But whether we rich or we poor, Bible tell all of us say make we dey careful so that we no go love money. (1 Tim. 6:9, 10) True-true, when we de see our brothers and sisters the way Jehovah de see them, we no go want allow the amount of property wey they get affect the way we treat them. But what about the age wey person dey? Na fine thing make we use age judge people? Make we see.

NA AGE YOU DE USE JUDGE PERSON?

13. Wetin Bible teach us about respect for people wey they old pass us?

13 Bible tell us many times say make we respect who old pass us. Leviticus 19:32 talk say: “When you see white hair, make you stand up and make you show respect for who senior you, and make you fear your God.” And Proverbs 16:31 still tell us say “white hair na fine crown when the person de follow righteous way.” Paul tell Timothy make e no too find fault with person wey e age pass e own. But make e de see that kind brother as e papa. (1 Tim. 5:1, 2) Na true say because of wetin Timothy de do for congregation, e fit de direct some things wey this brothers de do. But e go still respect them and show them pity.

14. Which time we fit need to correct person wey e old pass us?

14 But what if person wey e old pass us de sin and e know say na bad thing e de do? And what if e de make other people do wetin Jehovah no like? Jehovah no go leave the person just because of the age. Isaiah 65:20 fit guide us. E talk say: “Curse go follow the sinner, even if na one hundred years e dey.” The thing wey Ezekiel see for vision fit still guide us for this matter. (Ezek. 9:5-7) So, the main thing wey we go always remember na to show say we respect Jehovah, the Ancient of Days. (Dan. 7:9, 10, 13, 14) If we do like that, we no go fear when we want correct person wey we suppose to correct, even if the person old pass us.—Gal. 6:1.

You de respect brothers wey they young pass you? (check paragraph 15)

15. Wetin we learn from apostle Paul about respect for brothers wey they young pass us?

15 What about young brothers for congregation? How you de see them? Apostle Paul write letter give young Timothy say: “No allow anybody treat you anyhow because you young. Instead, make the way you de talk, your character, the way you de show love, the way you de live clean life, show people wey them de serve God better example.” (1 Tim. 4:12) The time wey Paul write this thing, Timothy fit don dey around 30 years. But Paul don give Timothy one big work make e care for. No matter the reason why Paul talk the thing wey e talk, the lesson dey clear. Make we no ever judge brothers wey we old pass just because of their age. Make we no forget say, when our Lord Jesus reach 33 years, e don do all the work wey God say make e come do.

16, 17. (a) Wetin elders de look if they want know whether person qualify as ministerial servant or elder? (b) How the way we de think or our culture fit no agree with wetin Bible talk?

16 E fit be say people from the place wey we come from no de respect young people. Because of this one, maybe some elders no de gree bring the name of young brothers make they serve as ministerial servants or elders. But e good make all elders remember say Bible no give any age wey person go reach before e become ministerial servant or elder. (1 Tim. 3:1-10, 12, 13; Titus 1:5-9) If any elder make law about this matter because of e culture, that elder no de follow wetin dey Bible. Make elders no use wetin them de think or their culture judge young men. Instead, make they use the thing wey Bible talk look this young brothers.—2 Tim. 3:16, 17.

17 If elders no follow wetin Bible talk when they want make some brothers serve as ministerial servant or elder, e fit make the elders no bring the name of brothers wey they qualify. For one country, one ministerial servant get big work for congregation, and e de do-am fine. After the elders check Bible, they come agree say this brother fit serve as elder. But some elders no gree say the brother don reach because they feel say e too young. So the brother no become elder just because for the eye of people, this brother too young. This kind thing no good. But na just one example. We de get report say for many place for the world, this kind thing de affect people. E dey important make Bible guide us, no be the way we de think or our culture. Na so we fit do the thing wey Jesus talk and stop to judge people with wetin our eye de see.

MAKE YOU JUDGE WITH WETIN DEY RIGHT

18, 19. Wetin go help us see other people the way Jehovah de see them?

18 Na true say we get sin for body. But like Jehovah, we fit learn how to look people with eye wey partial no dey. (Acts 10:34, 35) So make we always de check wetin Bible talk and do everything wey we fit do make we no get this character. Jesus talk say make we stop to judge with wetin eye de see. When we follow wetin Bible talk about this matter, the way we de obey wetin Jesus talk go de better.—John 7:24.

19 Small time, Jesus Christ our King go judge everybody. But e no go use wetin e eye see or wetin e ear hear. Instead, e go judge with wetin dey right. (Isa. 11:3, 4) That time go dey wonderful. E de hungry us make that time come!
