THE work wey we get to make disciples de save life! How we manage know? When Jesus command e disciples for Matthew 28:19, 20, e talk say: ‘Go make disciples. Baptize them.’ Why e really dey important for person to baptize? Person must baptize if e want live forever. The person wey want baptize must believe say e fit live forever only because Jesus die for us and God bring Jesus back to life. Na this one make apostle Peter tell Christians for e time say: “Baptism . . . de save wuna now because wuna get faith for Jesus Christ wey come back to life.” (1 Pet. 3:21) So when person baptize as new disciple, e get the hope to live forever.

2. Which kind teacher 2 Timothy 4:1, 2 talk say make we be?

² If we want make disciples, we go need to sabi “teach well.” (Read 2 Timothy 4:1, 2.) Why? Na because Jesus command us say: ‘Go make disciples. De teach them.’ Apostle Paul talk say make we “continue to do” the work. And “as you de do this one, you go save yourself and other people if they listen to you.” So no wonder Paul talk say: ‘De check wetin you de teach.’ (1 Tim. 4:16) Since we need to sabi teach if we want make disciples, we want do our best for the way we de teach.

³ We de study Bible with millions of people for the whole world. But as we don talk for the article before this one, e good make we know how we fit help more of this our Bible  students to baptize. For this article, we go talk about other five things wey teachers go do to help their student continue to do well and baptize.

4. Why e no good make we talk too much when we de teach people Bible? (Still check footnote.)

⁴ We really like the things wey we de teach people from Bible. So, we fit want talk plenty things about-am. But, whether we de conduct Watchtower Study, Congregation Bible Study, or we de study with people for their house, make the person wey de conduct no talk too much. So that the teacher go fit use Bible teach, e go need to dey careful make e no over talk. And e go still try make e no explain everything wey e know about the Bible verse or the topic. * (John 16:12) Compare the things wey you know when you baptize and the things wey you know now. E fit be say that time wey you baptize, you only understand some important things wey Bible de teach. (Heb. 6:1) E don take you some years to learn the things wey you know today. So make you no try to teach the new student everything at once.

5. (a) With wetin dey 1 Thessalonians 2:13, wetin we want make our student know about the things wey e de learn? (b) How we fit encourage our student to talk about the things wey e de learn?

⁵ We want make our student know say the things wey e de learn na from Bible. (Read 1 Thessalonians 2:13.) How we fit do that one? De advice the student make e de talk about the things wey e de learn. Instead of you to always de explain the Bible verse them to the student, make you tell-am to explain some of them to you. Help the student see how e go fit use the things wey e de learn for e life. Ask questions wey go help the student talk wetin e think and how e de feel about the Bible verse wey e read. (Luke 10:25-28) For example, ask the student say: “How this Bible verse don help you see one of the fine character wey Jehovah get?” “How this thing wey you just learn from Bible fit help you?” “How this thing wey you just learn de make you feel?” (Prov. 20:5) Wetin dey important pass, no be whether the student know many things, but na whether e love and de do the things wey e know.

6. When you de go study with your student, why e good make you try go with publisher wey don de preach for long time?

⁶ When you de go study with your student, you don ever go with publishers wey don de preach for long time? If you de do  this one, you fit ask them wetin they think about the way you de conduct the study and whether you de really use Bible teach. You must dey humble if you want make the way you de teach de better. (Compare Acts 18:24-26.) After, make you ask this publisher whether e think say the student de understand the things wey e de learn. You fit still tell the same publisher make e help you study with the student if you no go dey around for some time. This one go make the study continue and e go help the student know say the study dey important. Make you no ever think say since na your student, na only you suppose to study with-am. After all, na better thing you want for the student. You want make e continue to learn the truth.

7. Wetin go help Bible student enjoy the things wey e de learn?

⁷ The student need to see say you love and believe the things wey you de teach for Bible. (1 Thess. 1:5) Na this one fit make the student enjoy wetin e de learn. You fit tell-am how Bible don help you for your life. Then e go see say the better-better things for inside Bible go fit help-am too.

8. Which other thing you fit do to help your Bible student, and why e good make you do-am?

⁸ When you de study with your student, make you tell-am about brothers and sisters wey face the kind problem wey e de face and how they handle-am. You fit go with somebody for congregation wey e example fit benefit the student. Or you fit find experience for our jw.org website wey fit encourage the student, under the topic wey be “Bible De Help People Change Their Life.” * The different-different experience and video for there go help your student see say Bible fit help-am change e life.

9. How you fit encourage your student make e de tell e family members and friends about the things wey e de learn?

⁹ If the student don marry, e husband or wife de study? If e never de study, tell-am make e come join for the study. Encourage your student make e de tell e family members and friends about the things wey e de learn. (John 1:40-45) How you fit do this one? You fit just ask-am say: “How you go fit explain this thing wey Bible talk to your  family?” or “Which Bible verse you fit use show your friend say the thing wey you talk na the truth?” If you de do like this, you go de train the student to be teacher. Then when e qualify, e go fit start to go preaching with congregation. You fit ask the student whether e know any other person wey go like to study Bible. 10. With wetin 1 Thessalonians 2:7, 8 talk, how Bible teacher fit de do like Paul?

¹⁰ Bible teachers must show say they care about their students. No forget say, small time, this students fit be brothers or sisters for congregation. (Read 1 Thessalonians 2:7, 8.) E no easy for them to leave the friends wey they get for the world before, and change things for their life to serve Jehovah. Make we help them get new friends for congregation. No only de spend time with your student when you de study with-am. Make you still spend time with-am for other time so that you go fit be e friend. If you de call, de send text message, or de visit your student before the next time wey wuna go study, you de show say you really care about the student.

11. Wetin we want our students to get for congregation, and why?

¹¹ People de talk say: “No be only one person de train pikin.” So we fit talk say: “No be only one person for congregation de help Bible student become disciple.” Because of this one, good Bible teachers de help their students to know other brothers and sisters for congregation, so that this brothers and sisters fit help the students near Jehovah. This one go make the students enjoy the friendship of other servants of Jehovah, and they go encourage them when they get problem. We want make each student feel-am say e dey important for congregation and e dey part of the family. We want make the love wey we get for our brothers and sisters draw the student to come be part of our family. This one go make-am dey easy for the student make e no dey tight with people wey no de help-am near Jehovah. (Prov. 13:20) If e former friends reject-am, e go dey sure say e fit get better friends inside Jehovah’s organization.—Mark 10:29, 30; 1 Pet. 4:4.

12. Why e good make we de always make the student know say to give e life to Jehovah and baptize dey important?

¹² Make you de always tell the student say na important thing for person to give e life to Jehovah and baptize. After all, we de study with people because we want help them make they baptize as disciple. After the student don study for some months and especially after e don start to come meeting, e need to understand say we de study with-am because we want make e start to serve Jehovah.

13. Which things Bible student need to do so that e fit baptize?

¹³ If Bible student want baptize, different things dey wey e go do. The student go first know and love Jehovah and e go get faith for Jehovah. (John 3:16; 17:3) Then the student go be friend of Jehovah and e go still be friend to brothers and sisters for congregation. (Heb. 10:24, 25; Jas. 4:8) As time de go, the student go stop the bad things wey e de do and e go repent from e sins. (Acts 3:19) Apart from that one, e go tell other people about the truth wey e believe. (2 Cor. 4:13) Then e go give Jehovah e life and baptize. (1 Pet. 3:21; 4:2) And everybody go really dey happy the day wey e baptize! When the student de do the things wey e need to do so that e go baptize, make you continue to praise-am. And no stop to encourage the student to continue to do this things.

14. How we fit check whether our student de do well?

¹⁴ We need to dey patient when we de help our Bible student to do things wey go make-am baptize. But we need to really find out whether the student want serve Jehovah. The student de show say e de try to obey the things wey Jesus don command? Or the only thing wey e want na just to learn about Bible?

15. Which things go show the teacher say the student don de ready to baptize?

¹⁵ Always de check how the student de do. For example, e de let Jehovah know how e de feel? E de pray to Jehovah? (Ps. 116:1, 2) E de like to read Bible? (Ps. 119:97) E de go meeting everytime? (Ps. 22:22)  E don change anything for e life to show say e de do wetin e de learn? (Ps. 119:112) E don start to tell e family members and friends about the things wey e de learn? (Ps. 9:1) And the main thing be say, e want be Jehovah Witness? (Ps. 40:8) If the student no de do well for any of this things, use style find out why. And then, sofri discuss the matter with the student but tell-am the truth. *

16. Wetin fit show say you need to stop to study with somebody?

¹⁶ Make you de always ask yourself sometimes whether you suppose continue to study with the person. Ask yourself say: ‘The student no de prepare for the study? E no de like to go our meeting? Some bad things dey wey e still de do? E still dey for lie-lie religion?’ If the answer na yes, then the situation just be like say you de try to teach person how to swim, but the person no want make e body wet! If the student no really love the things wey e de learn and e no dey ready to change the way e de live e life, you think say e make sense for you to continue the study?

17. With wetin dey for 1 Timothy 4:16, wetin all of us wey be Bible teachers suppose to do?

¹⁷ We no de play with our work to make disciples, and we want help our Bible students qualify to baptize. Because of that one, we go de use Bible teach and we go show say we love and believe wetin we de teach. We go encourage the student to make friends for congregation. We go de always make the student know say na important thing to give e life to Jehovah and baptize. And we go always de check sometimes if the student de do well.
