Dey Happy With Wetin You Fit Do to Make Your Worship De Better!

Dey Happy With Wetin You Fit Do to Make Your Worship De Better!

“Make each person . . . get reason to dey happy with e self alone. Make e no compare with another person.”—GAL. 6:4.

SONG 34 Hold Jehovah Tight

WETIN WE GO LEARN? *

1. Why Jehovah no de compare us with other people?

JEHOVAH no want make everything and everybody be the same. We know this one because e make plenty different kind of plants, animal, and even people. Each of us dey different for e own special way. So Jehovah no de ever compare you with other people. E de see your heart and e know the kind person wey you really be. (1 Sam. 16:7) E still know the thing wey you fit do well, the thing wey you no fit do well, and the way they train you. And Jehovah no de tell you to do wetin pass your power. We need to see ourself the way Jehovah de see us. This one go help us to “reason well,” and we no go de think say we too dey important or say we no dey important at all.—Rom. 12:3.

2. Why e no good to compare ourself with other people?

2 We fit learn from good examples. For example, one brother or sister fit de really do well for the preaching work. (Heb. 13:7) If we know the person, we go see how we fit learn from the person so that the way we de preach go better. (Phil. 3:17) But, to copy good example and to compare ourself with person no be the same thing. If we compare ourself with other people, we fit begin jealous, we fit dey sad, or even feel say we dey useless. As we learn for the article before this one, if we de try to show say we better pass our brothers and sisters for congregation, this one fit spoil our friendship with Jehovah. So, because Jehovah love us, e advise us say: “Make each person check e own work, then e go get reason to dey happy with e self alone. Make e no compare with another person.”—Gal. 6:4.

3. As you de worship Jehovah, which things you don change wey de give you joy?

3 Jehovah want make you dey happy with all the things wey you don do to make your worship de better. For example, if you don baptize, you suppose really dey happy say you do as you plan. Na you decide say you go baptize and you do this one because you love God. Think about how your worship don better since that time. For example, the love wey you get for Bible reading and study don strong more? You de pray from your heart more and your prayer get more meaning now? (Ps. 141:2) The way you de start your discussion for preaching don better pass before? The things wey we de use preach, you don sabi use them more? And if you get family, Jehovah don help you to be better husband, wife, papa, or mama? You go really dey happy for all the change wey you don make.

4. Wetin we go talk about for this topic?

4 We fit help other people to dey happy for the things wey them de do to make their service to Jehovah de better. We fit still help them make they no de compare theirself with people. For this topic, we go see how papa and mama go fit help their children, how husband and wife go fit help each other, and how elders and other people go fit help their brothers and sisters for congregation. And the last one be say, we go talk about some advice for Bible wey fit help each of us do the things wey we don plan, as our power reach and the way our condition be.

THINGS WEY PAPA AND MAMA, AND HUSBAND AND WIFE GO FIT DO

Papa and mama, make wuna show each of wuna pikin say wuna dey happy for the good things wey them de do (Check paragraph 5-6) *

5. As e dey for Ephesians 6:4, which thing e no good make papa and mama de do?

5 E good make papa and mama dey careful make they no de compare one pikin with another one. Or, de expect their pikin to do pass e power. If papa and mama de do this kind thing, they fit make their pikin lose joy. (Read Ephesians 6:4.) One sister wey e name na Sachiko * talk say: “My teachers for school be de expect me to better pass my classmates. Apart from that one, my mama want make I do well for school so that my teacher, and my papa wey no be Jehovah Witness, go de see Jehovah Witness people as better people. The truth na say, my mama be want make I get hundred over hundred for my exams, but I see say this one no dey possible. Even though say I don finish school for many years now, sometimes, I still de feel say maybe Jehovah no dey happy with me, even if I de do my best.”

6. Wetin papa and mama fit learn from Psalm 131:1, 2?

6 Papa and mama get one important lesson to learn from Psalm 131:1, 2. (Read-am.) King David talk say e no “de plan to do things wey too big” or things wey pass e power. Because David dey humble and e know where e power reach, e dey okay with the things wey e fit do and e get peace of mind. Wetin papa and mama fit learn from the things wey David talk? Papa and mama de show say them dey humble and they know where they fit do reach, if they no de do pass their power and they no de expect their pikin to do pass e power. When papa and mama know the things wey their pikin fit do well and the things wey e no fit do well, this one go help the pikin see say e dey important. And papa and mama go fit help the pikin get plan of things wey e fit do. One sister wey e name na Marina talk say: “My mama no ever compare me with my three brothers or with other children. My mama teach me say, everybody get different things wey they sabi do well, and say each of us dey important to Jehovah. Because of my mama, I no de like to compare myself with other people.”

7-8. How husband fit show e wife honor?

7 Husband must show e wife honor. (1 Pet. 3:7) To show honor mean say we de show people say we care about the way them de feel and de respect them. For example, husband go show say e honor e wife when e de treat the wife as important person. The man no go want make e wife do pass e power, and e no go ever compare e wife with other women. How woman go feel if e husband de do this one? One sister wey e name na Rosa get husband wey no de serve Jehovah. Plenty times, the man de compare Sister Rosa with other women. The harsh things wey the man de talk, don make Sister Rosa de over feel bad about e self. E talk say, “I need to always remember say I dey important to Jehovah.” But if husband de serve Jehovah, e go show e wife honor. E know say this one go affect e marriage and e friendship with Jehovah. *

8 When husband de show e wife honor, e go praise the wife, e go tell the wife say e love-am, and say e dey important. (Prov. 31:28) Na so the husband of Sister Katerina wey we talk about for the article before this one, help this sister when e feel say e no good reach other people. When Katerina dey small, e mama de talk bad about-am. And plenty times, e de compare Katerina with e friends and other girls. Because of this one, Katerina begin compare e self with other people. And e continue like that even after e don start to serve Jehovah. But e don get help from e husband wey de serve Jehovah. So, e don stop to compare e self with people and e de think about e self for correct way now. E talk say: “My husband love me, e de praise me for the good things wey I de do, and e de pray for me. E still de remind me of the fine-fine character wey Jehovah get, and e de help me to correct the way I de think.”

WETIN ELDERS WEY DE SHOW LOVE AND OTHER PEOPLE FIT DO?

9-10. How elders wey de show love help one sister make e no de compare e self with other people?

9 How elders fit help people wey de always want compare theirself with other people? Make we see the example of one sister wey e name na Hanuni. They no de too praise this sister when e dey small. Sister Hanuni talk say: “I de shame that time and I feel say other children better pass me. I begin compare myself with other people from the time wey I dey small.” Even after Hanuni don start to serve Jehovah, e still de compare e self with other people. Because of this one, e no feel say the thing wey e de do for congregation dey important. But now, e don de do e pioneer work with joy. Wetin help Sister Hanuni to change the way e de think?

10 Hanuni talk say e get help from elders wey dey kind. The elders tell this sister say e dey important for congregation, and they praise the sister for e good example. Sister Hanuni talk say: “Sometimes, the elders don tell me make I encourage some sisters wey need help. This assignment make me feel say they need me. I remember when some better elders thank me say I encourage some young sisters. Then they read 1 Thessalonians 1:2, 3 for me. This one really make me glad no be small! Because this elders show me love, I don know now say I dey important for Jehovah’s organization.”

11. How we fit help people wey “life don tire, and people wey need help,” as e dey for Isaiah 57:15?

11 Read Isaiah 57:15. Jehovah really de care for people wey “life don tire, and people wey need help.” Apart from the elders, all of us fit encourage this dear brothers and sisters. One way wey we fit encourage them, na to show them say we really de care about them. Jehovah want make we show them how e really love them reach. (Prov. 19:17) We fit still help our brothers and sisters when we dey humble and no de boast about things wey we fit do. We no want de show ourself because we no want make other people de jealous us. Instead, we want use the things wey we sabi do and the things wey we know, to encourage our brothers and sisters.—1 Pet. 4:10, 11.

Jesus disciples make friend with Jesus because e no do as if e better pass them. E enjoy to spend time with e friends (Check paragraph 12)

12. Why ordinary people like to dey with Jesus? (Check picture for front cover.)

12 We fit learn plenty things about how to treat people when we think about how Jesus treat e disciples. Na Jesus Christ dey important pass everybody wey don live for this earth. Even with that one, e dey “gentle for heart and humble.” (Matt. 11:28-30) E no boast about the kind better sense wey e get and the plenty things wey e know. When e teach people, e talk for simple way and e use examples wey dey easy to understand and wey go touch humble people for heart. (Luke 10:21) Jesus no be like the leaders for religion. E no ever make people feel say they no dey important to God. (John 6:37) Instead, e show ordinary people respect.

13. How the way Jesus treat e disciples show say e dey kind and e get love?

13 The way Jesus treat e disciples show say e dey kind and e get love. E know say the things wey they sabi do no be the same, and their condition dey different. So no be all of them go fit handle the same work, or do the same amount of work for the preaching work. Even with that one, Jesus dey happy say each of them do their best. The story wey Jesus talk about the talents show say na so e feel. For that story, the master give each of the slave work, “as their power reach.” One of the two slaves wey work hard, get more gain pass the other one. But the master praise the two of them with the same word, e say: “Well done, you be good and faithful slave!”—Matt. 25:14-23.

14. How we fit copy the way Jesus de treat people?

14 The way Jesus de treat us show say e dey kind and e get love. E know say all of us no sabi do the same things and our condition no be the same, and e like-am when we do our best. We de do well if we treat people like Jesus. Make we no ever make any brother or sister feel say e dey useless or de shame for e self because e no fit do things well like other people. Instead, make we look for ways to praise our brothers and sisters as them de do their best to serve their brothers and sisters.

PLAN FOR THINGS WEY YOU FIT DO

You go get joy when you plan to do things as your power reach and you succeed for the plan (Check paragraph 15-16) *

15-16. How one sister gain as e get plan of things wey e fit do?

15 When we get plan of things wey we go do as we de serve Jehovah, our life go get direction and we go dey happy. But, the things wey we go plan go be things wey we fit do, as our power reach and as our condition be. We no need to get the same plan like other people. If we do like that, we fit fail and our condition fit tire us. (Luke 14:28) Make we talk about the example of one pioneer sister wey e name na Midori.

16 When Midori dey small, e papa wey no be Jehovah Witness de compare Midori with e junior brother and sister, and e classmates. Midori talk say, “I be feel say I dey useless.” But as Midori de grow, e start to see e self as better person. E talk say, “I read Bible everyday so that I go fit get peace of mind and see say Jehovah love me.” Apart from that one, Midori get plan of things wey e fit do. E tell Jehovah about this things for prayer, so that e go fit do the things wey e plan. This one make Midori to dey happy for the things wey e fit do for Jehovah.

ALWAYS DE DO YOUR BEST FOR JEHOVAH

17. Wetin go fit help us change the way we de think, and wetin go be the results?

17 E de take long time to change the way we de feel about ourself. So Jehovah advise us say: ‘Make the way you de think continue de change to new one.’ (Eph. 4:23, 24) For us to do this one, we need to pray, study Bible, and de think deep about the things wey we read for Bible. Make you continue to do this things and beg Jehovah for power. E holy spirit go help you to learn how you no go de compare yourself with other people. And Jehovah go help you know whether you don begin jealous or you dey proud for your heart. And e go help you to remove this bad things quick-quick.

18. How the thing wey 2 Chronicles 6:29, 30 talk fit cool your heart?

18 Read 2 Chronicles 6:29, 30. Jehovah know wetin dey inside our heart. E still know say we de struggle with the bad things wey the world want make we do and the sin for our body. As Jehovah de see the way we de really fight this things, the love wey e get for us de strong more.

19. How Jehovah explain the way e de feel about us?

19 Jehovah use the example of the love wey mama get for e pikin to explain how e de feel about us. (Isa. 49:15) Make we see the example of one mama wey e name na Rachel. E talk say: “I born my daughter wey e name na Stephanie, before the time wey I suppose born-am. When I first see my pikin, e over small and e weak. But the doctor allow me to carry-am everyday for the first month, when e still dey inside one machine for hospital. That time, me and my baby come really dey tight. Now, e dey six years and e small pass other children wey they be the same age. Even with that one, I love my baby no be small because e don really struggle to dey alive, and e don really make me dey happy for life.” For the same way, Jehovah get this kind deep love for us when e see us de work hard to give-am our best. This one de really comfort us.

20. Why servants of Jehovah go fit dey happy?

20 Because you be servant of Jehovah, you be important member for e family and no other person be like you. Jehovah no draw you come e side because you better pass other people. E draw you because e look inside your heart and see say you be humble person. You be person wey e fit teach and you dey ready to change. (Ps. 25:9) When you do your best to serve Jehovah, you go fit dey sure say e dey happy with you. You don endure and you dey faithful to God. This one show say you get “good heart.” (Luke 8:15) So continue to give Jehovah your best. Then you go get good reason to really dey happy “with [yourself] alone.”

We go still see how we fit help our family members and people for congregation to see theirself as Jehovah de see them.
