“1923-aam varusham romba viruviruppaaga irukkappōgiradhu” endru janavari 1, 1923 kaavarkōburam sonnadhu. “vēdhanaigalaal odukkappatta makkalukku sīkkiratthil oru arumaiyaana edhirkaalam kaatthirukkiradhu . . . endru arivikkira periya baakkiyam namakku kidaitthirukkiradhu” endrum andha kaavarkōburam sonnadhu. 1923-il baibil maanaakkargal kūttangalilum maanaadugalilum ūliya vēlaiyilum periya periya maatrangalai seidhaargal. adhanaal, avargalukkul irundha otrumai innum adhigamaanadhu.

baibil maanaakkargalukku idaiyil irundha otrumaiyai adhigappadutthuvadharkaaga andha varushatthil amaippu sila maatrangalai seidhadhu. vaaraavaaram nadandha ‘jebam, thudhi, saatchi kūttatthil’ padittha vasanangalukkaana vilakkam, kaavarkōburatthil velivara aarambitthadhu. adhumattumalla, avargal oru kaalandaraiyum veliyittaargal. ovvoru vaaratthilum avargal yōsitthu paarkka vēndiya oru vasanamum, thanippatta padippilum kudumba valipaattilum paaduvadharkaana oru paadalum adhil irundhana.

ūliyatthil kidaittha anubavangalai baibil maanaakkargal thangaludaiya kūttangalil pagirndhukondaargal. adhai “saatchi solvadhu” endru sonnaargal. piragu, yegōvaavukku nandri solla ēdhaavadhu irundhaal adhaiyum sonnaargal. adhan piragu, oru paattum jebamum irukkum. 1923-il, 15 vayadhil nyaanasnaanam eduttha īvaa paarni ippadi solgiraar: “saatchi solla aasaippadum oruvar mudhalil elundhu nirpaar. piragu, ‘aandavar enakkaaga seidha ellaa nanmaigalukkum nandri’ endru solli pēsa aarambippaar.” sila sagōdharargalukku saatchi solvadhu rombavē piditthirundhadhu. “kaadvin endra vayadhaana sagōdharar, niraiya vishayangalukkaaga aandavarukku nandri sollikkondē pōvaar. aanaal, kūttatthai nadatthum sagōdhararin mugatthil, ‘nēram aagiradhē’ endra kavalai therindhapōdhu kaadvinin manaivi avarudaiya kōttai piditthu iluppaar. udanē sagōdharar kaadvin pēsuvadhai nirutthivittu utkaarndhuviduvaar” engiraar sagōdhari paarni.

maadhatthukku oru dhadavai, oru visēsha ‘jebam, thudhi, saatchi kūttatthai’ ovvoru sabaiyum nadatthiyadhu. andha kūttatthai patri ēpral 1, 1923 kaavarkōburam ippadi sonnadhu: “ūliyatthil kidaittha anubavangalai saatchiyaaga solvadharkum ūliyakkaarargalai urchaagappadutthuvadharku indha kūttatthin paadhi nēratthai odhukka vēndum. . . . balappadutthum indha kūttangal, nanbargalaaga nerungivara sabaiyil irukkum ellaarukkum udhavum endru naangal nambugirōm.”

19 vayadhaana chaarls maarttin endra oru prasthaabi, indha kūttangalilirundhu niraiya payan adaindhirukkiraar. avar kanadaavil irukkum vaangōvarai sērndhavar. pirpaadu avar ippadi sonnaar: “ūliyatthil eppadi pēsa vēndum enbadhai mudhanmudhalil naan indha kūttangalilirundhudhaan katrukkondēn. ēnendraal, vīttukku vīdu ūliyatthil kidaittha ēdhōvoru anubavatthai patri adikkadi angē solvaargal. ennavellaam pēsa vēndum... yaaraavadhu kēlvi kēttaal eppadi badhil solla vēndum... endrellaam naan indha anubavangalilirundhu katrukkondēn.”

otrumaiyai balappadutthiya ūliyam

“ūliya naatkal” endra ērpaadukūda otrumaikku kaikodutthadhu. ēpral 1, 1923 kaavarkōburatthil ippadi oru arivippu seiyappattirundhadhu: “orē vēlaiyai seivadhil ellaarum otrumaiyaaga irukka vēndum enbadharkaaga . . . mē 1, 1923, sevvaaikkilamaiyai podhu ūliya naalaaga naangal arivikkirōm. idhēpōl, ovvoru maadhatthin mudhal sevvaaikkilamaiyum ūliya naalaaga irukkum. . . . sabaiyil irukkum ellaarumē eppadiyaavadhu andha vēlaiyil kalandhukolla vēndum.”

baibil maanaakkargalaaga irundha ilam pillaigalkūda indha vēlaiyil kalandhukondaargal. andha samayatthil 16 vayadhaaga irundha sagōdhari hēsal barfōrd ippadi sonnaar: “naangal manappaadam panni ūliyatthil pēsuvadharkaaga sila arimugangalai (ippadi pēsalaam pagudhiyai pōndradhu) bulattinil kodutthiruppaargal. a naan en thaatthaavōdu sērndhu indha vēlaigalai bayangara aarvamaaga seidhuvandhēn.” aanaal, edhirpaarkkaadha ōr idatthilirundhu sagōdhari parfōrdukku edhirppu vandhadhu. adhai patri avar ippadi sonnaar: “naan ūliyam seiya kūdaadhendru vayadhaana oru sagōdharar sonnaar. ‘ilam aangal, ilam pengal’ utpada ellaa baibil maanaakkargalum, padaippaalarai pugalum vēlaiyai seiya vēndum enbadhai andrirundha silar purindhukollavillai.” (sang. 148:12, 13) aanaal, sagōdhari barfōrd vidaamal ūliyam seidhaar. giliyad palliyin irandaavadhu vaguppil kalandhukondaar; piragu, panaamaavil mishanariyaaga sēvai seidhaar. kaalam pōgappōga, ilam pillaigal ūliyam seiya kūdaadhendru ninaittha sagōdharargal thangal ennatthai maatrikkondaargal.

ullūr maanaadugalum mandala maanaadugalum sagōdharargalukkul otrumaiyai balappadutthina. idhupōndra niraiya maanaadugalil ūliya naatkalukkum ērpaadu seidhirundhaargal. udhaaranatthukku, maarch 31 andru, kanadaavilulla vinnipekkil, maanaattil kalandhukonda ellaarum ūliyam seivadharku ērpaadu seiyappattirundhadhu. idhupōndra ērpaadugaldhaan baibil maanaakkargalin valarchikku uramaanadhu. aagast 5 andru vinnipekkil nadandha innoru maanaattukku kittatthatta 7,000 pēr vandhirundhaargal. andha samayatthil kanadaavil nadandha maanaadugalilēyē indha maanaattukkutthaan niraiya pēr vandhirundhaargal.

“balappadutthum indha kūttangal, nanbargalaaga nerungivara sabaiyil irukkum ellaarukkum udhavum”

maanaattin kadaisi naalil, kittatthatta 30,000-kkum adhigamaana makkal sagōdharar radharfōrd koduttha podhu pēchai kēttaargal. adhan thalaippu: “dhēsangalellaam armagedhōnai nōkki selgindrana, aanaal ippōdhu vaalum latchakkanakkaanōr ini marippadhillai.” oru periya kūttam varum endru edhirpaartthu, pudhidhaaga kattappattirundha laas ēnjals stēdiyatthai vaadagaikku edutthirundhaargal. ellaarukkum kētka vēndum enbadharkaaga stēdiyatthin lavudspīkkar sistamai payanpadutthinaargal. andha samayatthil vandhirundha oru pudhiya tholilnutpam adhu. nigalchiyai innum niraiya pēr rēdiyō valiyaagavum kēttaargal.

ulagam muluvadhum paraviya vēlai

1923-il aapprikkaa, airōppaa, indhiyaa, then amerikkaa pōndra naadugalil, prasanga vēlai bayangaramaaga valarchi adaindhadhu. indhiyaavil a. j. jōsaf enbavar indhi, malaiyaalam, thamil, thelungu, urudhu pōndra moligalil prasurangalai thayaarikkum vēlaiyai gavanitthukkondaar. than manaiviyaiyum aaru pillaigalaiyum gavanitthukkondē indha vēlaiyaiyum seidhaar.

aalfred thodarndhu ippadi sonnaar: “aduttha naal kaalaiyil naanum lenardum ovvoru vaaramum seivadhu pōl baibilai patri kalandhupēsikkondu irundhōm. appōdhu, thidīrendru engal vaasalil vaattasaattamaana oruvar vandhu nindraar. avardhaan sagōdharar bravun. satthiyatthinmēl avarukku bayangara aarvam irundhadhu; aduttha naalē makkalukkaaga oru pēchu kodukka vēndumendru aasaippattaar.” sagōdharar bravun vandhu oru maadhamkūda aagavillai, adharkul avar konduvandhirundha ellaa prasurangalaiyum ūliyatthil kodutthuvittaar. marubadiyum 5,000 butthagangalai vaangi adhaiyum kodutthu muditthuvittaar. piragu, innum niraiya butthagangal avarukku thēvaippattana. irundhaalum, avar butthagangalai virkiravar endru prabalamaagavillai. baibil vasanangalai payanpadutthaamal avar endha pēchaiyum kodukkavillai. adhanaal ‘baibil bravun’ endra peyarai makkal avarukku vaitthaargal. kadaisivarai avar yegōvaavukku surusuruppaaga sēvai seidhaar.

brēsilil, oru pudhiya kilai aluvalagam thirakkappattu, pōrchugīs moliyil kaavarkōburam prasurikkappattadhu. nalla seidhiyai prasangippadharkaaga niraiya idangalukku payanam seidha jaarj yang indha vēlaigalai seidhaar. orusila maadhangalilēyē, 7,000-kkum adhigamaana prasurangalai ūliyatthil avar kodutthaar. avar brēsilukku vandhadhaal, saaraa fargasan endra pennukku oru arumaiyaana vaaippu kidaitthadhu. avar 1899-lirundhu kaavarkōbura patthirikaigalai thodarndhu paditthuvandhirundhaar. aanaal, nyaanasnaanam edukka avarukku vaaippu kidaikkavillai. jaarj yang vandhu orusila maadhangalilēyē saaraa fargasanum avarudaiya naangu pillaigalum nyaanasnaanam edukka mudindhadhu.

“yegōvaavukku sandhōshatthōdu sēvai seiyalaam”

kūttangalil, ūliyatthil, matrum maanaadugalil seidha maatrangalaal baibil maanaakkargalukku kidaittha nalla palangalai patri andha varushatthin kadaisiyil vandha kaavarkōburam (disambar 15, 1923) sonnadhu: “sabaiyil . . . balamaana visuvaasatthai engalaal paarkka mudigiradhu. . . . kavasatthai pōttukkondu surusuruppaagavum urudhiyaagavum aduttha varushatthil kaaladi edutthu vaikkalaam. eppōdhumpōl yegōvaavukku sandhōshatthōdu sēvai seiyalaam.”
