Them born me for 1955. We be three boys and na me small pass. I grow for one area wey dey south part of Finland. Now, them de call the area Vantaa.

Some years before them born me, my mama baptize and e become Jehovah Witness. But, my papa no like Jehovah Witness people, so e no allow our mama study Bible with us or carry us go meeting. Because of this one, our mama de teach us Bible when our papa no dey house.

Since when I dey young, I de like do wetin Jehovah want. For example, when I dey seven years, my teacher vex with me because I no gree eat one kind pancake wey them de use blood make. E use im one hand try open my mouth by force, and use the other hand try to force the pancake inside my mouth with fork, but I push-am comot from im hand.

When I dey 12 years, my papa die. This one make me fit de attend meeting. The brothers for congregation show me love and this one help me near Jehovah more-more. I start to read Bible everyday and our book them well-well. This study wey I de do help me to fit baptize when I dey 14 years, for August 8, 1969.

When I finish school, I start to pioneer. After some weeks, I go one town wey them de call Pielavesi, e dey near the center of Finland.

 For Pielavesi, I meet one sister, wey I later marry. Im name na Sirkka. I love-am because e dey humble and e love Jehovah well-well. E no de do notice me and e no de try gather plenty property. The two of us want do our best to serve Jehovah, and we ready to do anything wey Jehovah organization say make we do. We marry for March 23, 1974. Instead make we go honeymoon, we travel go Karttula, to serve where them really need more people to preach.

From when we marry, Jehovah don show us say e go give us the things wey we need, if we put the preaching work as number one thing for our life. (Matt. 6:33) For example, we no get motor when we dey Karttula. Na bicycle we first de use. But for cold season, the place de cold sotey ice de fall. To fit preach for our territory, we need motor because our territory big well-well. But we no get money to buy motor.

My elder brother come visit us when we no expect. E give us im motor and e don already do all the paper for the motor. The only thing wey we need to buy na fuel. Na so we get the motor wey we need.

This one show us say Jehovah go continue to give us the things wey we need. Our own work na to put the Kingdom as number one thing for our life.

When we dey Pioneer School for 1978, Brother Raimo Kuokkanen, a wey be one of our instructor, encourage us say make we fill form to go Gilead School. So we start to de learn English so that we go fit qualify to attend. But for 1980, before we fit fill the form, them invite us make we come serve for branch office for Finland. That time, person wey dey Bethel no fit fill form to go Gilead School. But we want serve where Jehovah choose for us, no be where we want. So we accept to go Bethel. But we no stop to de learn English, so that if the opportunity come, we go fit fill the form.

After some years, Governing Body allow people for Bethel to fit fill form to go Gilead School. We no waste time to fill form, but no be because we no like our work for Bethel. We de enjoy Bethel work! We just want dey ready for any  assignment wey our organization fit need us. Them invite us go Gilead and we attend the 79th class, wey graduate for September 1985. And them send us to Colombia.

Our first assignment for Colombia, na to serve for branch office. I try to do my best for my assignment. But after one year, I feel like say we need to change our assignment. Na only this time for my life I ever ask say make them change my assignment. Later, them send us go one city wey them de call Neiva wey dey the region of Huila, as field missionary.

I de always enjoy preaching work. When I never marry and I de pioneer for Finland, sometimes I de start preaching for morning go reach evening. And after I don marry, me and my wife de go preaching for the whole day. Sometimes, when we go preach for far area, we de sleep inside our motor, so that we no go spend plenty time to travel, and we go fit start to preach early the next day.

When them send us as field missionary, we come de enjoy preaching the way we de enjoy-am before. Our congregation de grow, the brothers and sisters get respect, de show love and them value our work.

For the towns wey near Neiva, where we dey, them no get any Jehovah Witness person for there. So I be de worry about how the good news go reach the area. But because of the fight-fight for the area, the area no dey safe for people wey no come from there. So I pray to Jehovah say make one person wey come from that area become Jehovah Witness. I think say for this one to fit happen, the person go need to de live for Neiva where we dey, to fit learn the truth. This one make me to pray to Jehovah again say after the person baptize, make e grow to become mature brother, and make e go back to im town to preach. I no know say the way Jehovah go handle the matter go better pass the way I be de think.

E no tey, I start to study Bible with one man wey im name na Fernando González. The man de live for Algeciras, wey be one of the town wey no get any Jehovah Witness person. Fernando de travel over 50 kilometers (30 miles) go work for Neiva, every week. E de prepare well-well for im study, and e no waste time to start to attend meeting. For the first week wey Fernando start im study, e go gather people for im town and teach them wetin e learn.

Six month after Fernando start to study Bible, e baptize for January 1990. E no waste time to become regular pioneer. Since one person for the area don become Jehovah Witness, the branch office feel say e dey safe to send special pioneers to the area. For February 1992, them form one congregation for that town.

Na for only im town Fernando preach? No! After e marry, e and im wife travel go San Vicente del Caguán, another town wey no Jehovah Witness dey. For there, them form one congregation. For 2002, them make Brother Fernando circuit overseer. And since that time, e and im wife wey im name na Olga, still dey circuit work.

 This story teach me say, for matter wey concern assignment wey the organization give us, e dey important make we pray for the exact thing wey we need. Jehovah fit do wetin we no fit do. Remember say, na im work, no be our own.—Matt. 9:38.

For 1990, them ask us to do circuit work. The first circuit wey them send us to go serve, dey for Bogotá, wey be capital of Colombia. We fear say we no go fit do this assignment because, me and my wife no too sabi many things, and we never stay before for big city wey busy well-well. But, Jehovah do wetin e promise for Philippians 2:​13, wey talk say: “God de make una strong, so that una go fit do wetin e like, and e de move una to want do-am and de give una power to do-am.”

Later, them change our circuit and send us to Medellín area, the city wey I don talk about before. The people for the area don see fight-fight sotey, e no de worry them again. For example, one time, I de conduct Bible study when them start to shoot gun for outside the house wey I de conduct the study. Fear catch me sotey I want fall for ground, but the Bible student continue to read the paragraph like say nothing de happen. When e finish the paragraph, e comot go outside. After sometime, e come back with two small children and talk say: “I dey sorry o, na my children I just go take.”

E still get some other times wey our life dey for danger. One time, when we de preach from house to house, my wife run come meet me and I see say e de fear. E talk say one man try to shoot-am. Fear catch me. Later, we come know say no be my wife the man want shoot, but na another person wey waka pass near my wife the man want shoot.

After sometime, the wahala for the city no de make us fear again. When we see how the brothers and sisters de face the problem wey we face and the one wey even worse pass-am and them still de serve Jehovah well, this one encourage us. So we tell ourself say, as Jehovah de help them, na so e go help us. Wetin we de do na to listen to the advice of the elders wey dey the area, try to dey careful and leave the matter for Jehovah hand.

Na true say, sometimes, wetin de happen no really bad as we think. One time, I hear sound like say two women de quarrel for outside the house wey I de visit. But I no just want look them or hear wetin them de talk, but the person wey get the house tell me say make I come im veranda. After, we see say na two parrots de copy the way some of the neighbors de talk, and e de sound like say na people de quarrel.

For 1997, them make me instructor for Ministerial Training School. b I don always like to attend school wey Jehovah organization  arrange. But I never ever think say one day, them go give me the chance to teach for any of the school.

Later, them make me district overseer. And when the organization talk say we no go need district overseer again, them send me back to circuit work. So, e don pass 30 years now wey I don de serve as instructor and traveling overseer, and I de really enjoy-am. We don enjoy plenty blessings for this assignment. But, we don still face some problems. Why I talk like that?

I be strong person wey belief say I fit do anything for Jehovah. This one don help me fit face plenty situation wey no easy. But e get some times wey I don over put power to correct some things for congregation. Sometimes, I don tell some brothers say them need to de show love and de think about other people situation. But the truth be say, the way I de tell them no de show say I love them and de think about their situation.—Rom. 7:​21-23.

Sometimes, I really feel bad because of my mistakes. (Rom. 7:24) One time, I feel bad sotey I pray to Jehovah say, e go better make I leave my missionary assignment and go back to Finland. For evening that day, I go meeting. Wetin them talk for meeting that day, make me dey sure say Jehovah want make I stay for my assignment, and continue to do my best to change the way I de behave since I no dey perfect. The way Jehovah answer that prayer really touch me, till today. I really happy say Jehovah don help me to change the way I de behave.

Me and my wife really happy say Jehovah don give us the chance to spend most of our life for full-time service. Another thing wey de really make me happy na say Jehovah don give me wife wey love me well-well, and wey de hold Jehovah tight.

Small time, I go be 70 years and I go stop to be field instructor and circuit overseer. But, this one no de make me feel bad. Why? Because, wetin de make Jehovah happy pass na when we know where we fit do reach as we de serve-am, and when we de worship-am because we love-am and value wetin e don do for us. (Mic. 6:8; Mark 12:​32-34) To make Jehovah happy, we no need to get some assignment wey we feel say e dey important pass or wey go make everybody know us.

When I think about the different-different work wey I don do for Jehovah organization, I see say them give me the work, no be because I better pass other people, or I sabi do things well. Instead, na because of Jehovah special favor. E give me this different-different work even though say I de make plenty mistake. I know say na because of Jehovah help I don succeed. Because of this one, I fit talk say my mistakes or weakness make me see Jehovah power for my life.—2 Cor. 12:9.
