Continue to Be Jehovah Visitor

Continue to Be Jehovah Visitor

“O Jehovah, who go fit be visitor for your tent?”PS. 15:1.

WETIN WE GO LEARN?

For this article, we go talk about wetin we need to do to continue to be Jehovah friend, and how Jehovah want make we treat im friends.

1. Wetin we fit learn from Psalm 15:1-5?

FOR the article before this one, we learn say person wey don baptize and continue to hold Jehovah tight, go fit be visitor for Jehovah tent. But wetin go help us continue to be Jehovah visitor? Psalm 15 give us the answer. (Read Psalm 15:1-5.) This psalm tell us wetin we must do to be Jehovah tight friend.

2. Wetin fit don dey David mind as e de talk about Jehovah tent?

2 Psalm 15 start with this question: “O Jehovah, who go fit be visitor for your tent? Who fit stay for your holy mountain?” (Ps. 15:1) When King David de talk about Jehovah “tent,” e fit be say wetin dey im mind na the tabernacle wey dey Gibeon for some time. Or as David talk about Jehovah “holy mountain,” e fit be say na the tent wey dey Mount Zion for Jerusalem dey im mind. For Zion, David make tent and put the ark of covenant for inside until them build the temple where the ark go stay. Mount Zion dey many kilometers from the south side of Gibeon.—2 Sam. 6:17.

3. Why e dey important make we understand wetin dey Psalm 15? (Still check the picture.)

3 Na true say most Israel people no ever work for the tabernacle, and na only the priests de enter inside the tabernacle. But all servants of Jehovah fit be im visitor if them continue to be im friend. And this one na wetin all of us want. Psalm 15 tell us wetin we need to do to fit continue to be Jehovah friend.

E dey easy for Israel people for David time to understand wetin e mean to be visitor for Jehovah tent (Check paragraph 3)

DE LIVE CLEAN LIFE AND DE DO GOOD THINGS

4. How we take know say no be only to baptize go make us be Jehovah friend? (Isaiah 48:1)

4 Psalm 15:2 talk say Jehovah friend “na person wey de live straight life, de do good things, and de talk true for im heart.” The word “de live” and “de do,” for this verse, de show say na something wey we need to continue to de do. But we go fit really “live straight life”? Yes. Na true say nobody dey perfect, but Jehovah go see us as person wey “de live straight life” if we de do our best to obey-am. When we give our life to Jehovah and baptize, na that time we start to waka with Jehovah. Remember say for Bible time, just because person na Israel person no mean say na Jehovah friend. Some people for Israel pray to Jehovah, but the prayer no come from their “heart and [them] no de do wetin correct.” (Read Isaiah 48:1.) To show say them really want be Jehovah visitor or friend, Israel people need to learn Jehovah law and obey them. Na so e still be today. To enjoy tight friendship with Jehovah, no be only to baptize and become Jehovah Witness, we must continue to “de do good things.” Wetin this one mean?

5. Wetin e mean to obey Jehovah for everything?

5 For Jehovah eye, to “de live straight life” and “de do good things,” no be just to de always go meeting for Kingdom Hall. (1 Sam. 15:22) We must do our best to obey Jehovah for everything wey we de do, even when we dey alone. (Prov. 3:6; Eccl. 12:13, 14) E dey important make we de obey Jehovah even for matter wey we feel say e no reach anything. If we de do like this, e go show say we really love Jehovah, and e go make Jehovah love us more.—John 14:23; 1 John 5:3.

6. As e dey for Hebrews 6:10-12, wetin dey important pass the good things wey we don do for Jehovah before?

6 Jehovah really value everything wey we don do for-am. But just because we don worship Jehovah well for many years wey don pass, no mean say we go continue to be visitor for im tent. We see this one for Hebrews 6:10-12. (Read-am.) Jehovah no de ever forget the better way wey we take worship-am. But e want make we continue to worship-am with all our heart “go reach the end.” Jehovah go be our friend forever “if we no tire” to do wetin good.—Gal. 6:9.

DE TALK TRUE FOR YOUR HEART

7. Wetin e mean to de talk true for our heart?

7 Anybody wey want make Jehovah welcome-am as im visitor, must “de talk true for im heart.” (Ps. 15:2) This one no only mean say we go de talk true. Jehovah still want make our way dey straight, and make we no de do wayo for anything wey we de do. (Heb. 13:18) This one dey important “because Jehovah really hate cunning person, but e de make righteous person im tight friend.”—Prov. 3:32.

8. Which kind character we need to run from?

8 People wey ‘de talk true for their heart’ no de pretend say them de obey God when people de see them, but de disobey-am when them dey alone. (Isa. 29:13) Them no de do cunning. Cunning person fit start to think say some of Jehovah law no make sense. (Jas. 1:5-8) E fit disobey Jehovah for things wey e think say e no too dey important to-am. Then if e see say nothing bad happen to-am as e disobey, e fit start to do things wey bad pass that one. Even though say e de think say e de worship Jehovah, Jehovah no go accept im worship. (Eccl. 8:11) We no want make that kind thing happen to us. We want de talk true for everything wey we de do.

9. Wetin Jesus talk the first time wey e meet Nathanael, and wetin that one teach us? (Still check the picture.)

9 E really dey important make we de talk true for our heart. We see this one from wetin happen when Philip take im friend wey be Nathanael go meet Jesus. Even though say Jesus never meet Nathanael before, the first time wey e meet-am, e talk say: “See, this na real Israel person wey no de pretend at all.” (John 1:47) Jesus know say im other disciples de talk true and no de do wayo, but Nathanael own really dey special! Na true say just like us, Nathanael no dey perfect. But e no de pretend and e de talk true for everything wey e de do. Jesus like that character wey Nathanael get and e praise-am. Na really big honor if Jesus fit talk this kind thing about us.

Philip take im friend wey be Nathanael go meet Jesus. Nathanael na person wey no de pretend. Them fit talk this kind thing about you? (Check paragraph 9)

10. Why e dey important make we dey careful about wetin we de talk? (James 1:26)

10 Almost all the things wey dey Psalm 15 na about how we suppose treat other people. Psalm 15:3 talk about visitor for Jehovah tent. E talk say: “E no de use im mouth spoil person name. E no de do any bad thing to im neighbor. And e no de disgrace im friends.” If we de talk lie about people or spoil their name, e fit cause serious problem for them. And this one fit make us no be visitor for Jehovah tent again.—Read James 1:26.

11. Wetin e mean to spoil person name, and if person wey de spoil other people name no change, wetin them go do-am?

11 David talk about person wey de spoil another person name. Wetin e mean to spoil another person name? E mean to talk lie about person so that other people go de see-am as bad person. Anybody wey de do this kind thing and e no gree change, them go disfellowship-am from congregation.—Jer. 17:10.

12-13. Give example of wetin fit happen wey fit make us disgrace our friend or talk wetin go make-am shame. (Still check the picture.)

12 Psalm 15:3 still talk say person wey be visitor for Jehovah tent no de do any bad thing to im neighbor, and e no de disgrace im friends. How person fit disgrace im friend or do wetin go make-am shame?

13 We fit talk something about person wey fit make-am shame, and we no know. For example: (1) one sister stop to pioneer, (2) one husband and wife stop to serve for Bethel, or (3) one brother stop to serve as elder or ministerial servant. Na bad thing if we start to tell other people say the brother or sister do wetin bad, na im make-am no fit continue to be pioneer, or elder, or work for Bethel. Many reason dey wey fit don make them stop, wey we no know. Make we no forget say person wey be visitor for Jehovah tent “no de do any bad thing to im neighbor. And e no de disgrace im friends.”

E dey easy to talk wetin no correct about another person, and e fit spoil the person name (Check paragraph 12-13)

SHOW RESPECT FOR PEOPLE WEY DE FEAR JEHOVAH

14. Who be the people “wey no good” wey Jehovah visitor suppose reject?

14 Psalm 15:4 talk say Jehovah friend “de reject anybody wey no good.” How we fit know if person no good? We no fit talk say person no good just because of the way we de feel or wetin we think about the person. Why? Because we no dey perfect. So we fit like person just because we think say e easy to work with that person, but we fit no like another person because of the way e de do things. So na only people “wey no good” for Jehovah eye we de reject. (1 Cor. 5:11) For example, people wey no gree repent from their bad way, people wey no get respect for wetin Bible teach, or wey de try to spoil our friendship with Jehovah.—Prov. 13:20.

15. Wetin be one way wey we fit respect “person wey de fear Jehovah”?

15 The next thing wey Psalm 15:4 talk say we must do, na to de show respect to “person wey de fear Jehovah.” So we de look for every opportunity to honor or respect Jehovah friends and treat them well. (Rom. 12:10) How? Psalm 15:4 tell us one way wey we fit do this one. E talk say Jehovah friend ‘no de change mind for wetin e promise, even when e no easy for-am.’ If we no do wetin we promise, e fit affect the person wey we promise the thing. (Matt. 5:37) For example, Jehovah want make husband and wife do wetin them promise each other when them marry. E de make Jehovah happy when papa and mama do their best to do wetin them promise their children. Because we love Jehovah and people, we go do our best to do wetin we promise.

16. Wetin be another way to show say we de honor Jehovah friends?

16 Another way to honor Jehovah friends na to de welcome them and get open hand. (Rom. 12:13) When we spend time to enjoy with our brothers and sisters, our friendship with them and with Jehovah go de strong more-more. Another thing be say, when we de welcome Jehovah friends, we de copy Jehovah example.

NO LOVE MONEY

17. Why David talk about money for Psalm 15?

17 Psalm 15:5 tell us say person wey be visitor for Jehovah tent “no de ask for interest when e borrow money to people, and e no de take bribe against innocent person.” Why David talk about money for Psalm 15? Na because if we love money, e mean say money don dey important to us pass Jehovah and our brothers and sisters. (1 Tim. 6:10) For Bible time, some people no treat their poor brothers well because them de ask for interest when their poor brothers come borrow money from them. Another thing be say, people wey de judge case de collect bribe to do partial. Jehovah hate-am when people do this kind things.—Ezek. 22:12.

18. Which questions we fit ask ourself wey go help us know how we de feel about money? (Hebrews 13:5)

18 E dey important make we take time think about how we de feel about money matter. Ask yourself say: ‘I de always think about money and things wey I fit use-am buy? If person borrow me money, e de hard me to pay back because I de think say person wey borrow me the money no need-am? When I get money, e de make me feel say I better pass other people? E de hard me to use my money help people? I de judge brothers and sisters wey get money as people wey love money pass Jehovah? I de make friends only with rich people?’ E dey important make we ask ourself this questions because Jehovah don honor us to be visitor for im tent. But we fit continue to be Jehovah visitor if we make sure say we no love money. If we do this one, Jehovah no go ever leave us!—Read Hebrews 13:5.

JEHOVAH LOVE IM FRIENDS

19. Why Jehovah want make we put all the things wey dey Psalm 15 for mind?

19 Psalm 15 end with this better promise, e talk say: “Nothing fit ever shake this kind person.” (Ps. 15:5) For here, David help us see why Jehovah want make we do all the things wey dey this psalm. Na because Jehovah want make we de happy. So when we do wetin Jehovah say make we do, our life go better and Jehovah go protect us.—Isa. 48:17.

20. Which hope people wey be visitor for Jehovah tent get?

20 People wey be visitor for Jehovah tent get better hope for future. The anointed Christians go live for where Jesus don prepare for them for heaven. (John 14:2) And the people wey go stay for this earth put hope for the promise wey dey Revelation 21:3. Na big honor we get as Jehovah don invite us to be visitor for im tent forever!
