My papa and mama comot from Estonia go Germany for the time of World War II and na for there them born me. Them start to plan to pack go Canada after my mama born me. The first place wey we stay na one small house near Ottawa for Canada, and some fowl dey the other side for the house. Even though say we poor well-well, we de see egg chop every morning.

One day, Jehovah Witness People come preach to my mama and read Revelation 21:3, 4 to-am. Wetin e learn that day touch-am well-well sotey e begin cry. My papa and mama start to study Bible, and after small time, them baptize.

Even though say my papa and mama no too sabi English, them worship Jehovah with all their mind. My papa de carry me and my younger sister go preaching almost every Saturday, even after e don work the whole night for one factory wey them de melt one metal wey resemble silver (nickel). The factory dey Sudbury for Ontario. Every week, we de study Watchtower as family. My papa and mama teach me wetin e mean to love God well. This one make me give Jehovah my life and baptize for 1956 when I dey ten years. When I think about the way my papa and mama love Jehovah, e de move me to continue to worship-am.

After I finish school, my mind no come too dey to worship Jehovah. I think say if I start to pioneer, I no go get money to take enter plane go different-different place for this world. As time de go, I come get work as DJ for one radio station and I really like the work. I de work for evening and this one de make me miss meeting well-well and make friends with people wey no love Jehovah. Later, as I de think about the things wey I don learn from Bible, e help me fit change some things for my life.

I pack go Oshawa for Ontario. For there, I meet Brother Ray Norman, e Sister Lesli, and other pioneers. Them welcome me well and make my mind come down. As I see the way them de happy for their life, e make me think about wetin I go use my life do. Them encourage me say make I start to pioneer, na this one make me start to pioneer for September 1966. I really happy and de enjoy my life. But I no know say somethings wey go soon happen, go change my life.

When I dey school, I fill form to go Bethel wey dey Toronto for Canada. Later when I de pioneer, them  call me say make I come work for Bethel for four years. But because say I really like Sister Lesli, I come de fear say if I go Bethel, we no go see again. After I don pray about-am well-well, I decide to go Bethel, but I no happy to tell Sister Lesli bye-bye.

For Bethel, I work for laundry (where them de wash cloth) and after, I work as secretary. But Sister Lesli become special pioneer for Gatineau wey dey Quebec for Canada. Plenty times, I go de think about wetin Lesli de do and whether na correct decision I make as I come Bethel. But something happen wey really sweet me no be small. Them invite Ray wey be Lesli brother come Bethel. Na me and Ray come dey for the same room. This one make me fit start to hear from Sister Lesli again. We marry for February 27, 1971 wey be the day wey the four years of my work for Bethel complete.

After we marry, branch office send us go one French congregation wey dey Quebec. E surprise me say after some years, them make me circuit overseer, when I dey 28 years. That time I feel say I too young and say I no get experience to fit do the work, but na wetin dey Jeremiah 1:7, 8 make my mind strong. Before this time, no be one time my wife don get motor accident and another problem wey e get be say e de hard-am to sleep. All this one make us feel say e go hard us to do circuit work. But my wife talk say, “If Jehovah give us work, e no go good make we first try to do-am?” So we agree to do the circuit work and we enjoy-am for 17 years.

I really busy when I be circuit overseer and I no de get plenty time for my wife. This na another lesson wey I need to learn. One early morning, our doorbell ring, that day na Monday. When I open the door, I no see anybody for there, na only one basket wey things dey inside I see. The things wey dey inside the basket na tablecloth, fruit, cheese, bread, bottle of wine, some glass cup and one paper wey them write ontop say, “Carry your wife go somewhere make wuna go enjoy small.” Sun de shine that day and everywhere just fine. But I explain to my wife say I no go fit go because I get some talk wey I want prepare. E agree but e no really happy. As I sitdown de prepare the talks, my mind come de worry me. So I think about wetin dey Ephesians 5:25, 28. I see say Jehovah de use that verse remind me say I need to care about how my wife de feel and make-am happy. After I pray, I tell my wife say “make we go,” and e really happy. We drive our motor go one fine place near one river, spread the tablecloth for ground and enjoy ourself. Na one of the best day wey we enjoy together. And I still prepare my talk.

My work as circuit overseer really plenty and I enjoy them. We serve congregations from British Columbia go reach Newfoundland. Now I de travel go different-different country the way I wish when I small. I be de wish say I fit go Gilead School but I no  want make them send me as missionary go another country. To me, na special people de be missionary and I no feel say I dey special. Even self, I de fear say them fit send us go one country for Africa where sickness and war dey. I just like this place wey we dey.

For 1992 when Jehovah people start to preach again for the country them wey dey part of Soviet Union before, branch office ask us whether we go like serve as missionary for Estonia. This one really surprise us but we pray about-am. We ask ourself again, ‘If Jehovah give us work, e no good make we first try to do-am?’ We agree to go since no be Africa them de send us go.

When we reach Estonia, we start to learn their language. After some months, branch office say make we start to do circuit work for there. Them give us 46 congregation and some group for Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Kaliningrad, for Russia. This one mean say we go need to learn the language wey people for there de speak. This one hard no be small. But the brothers and sisters really happy say we de try learn their language and them help us. For 1999, Estonia come get branch office and them make me, Toomas Edur, Lembit Reile, and Tommi Kauko, Branch Committee for there.

This one make us know some brothers and sisters wey government send go back to Siberia before. Even with the hard life wey them face for prison, and as them carry them go far from their family, e no make them leave Jehovah. Them continue to happy and use all their mind preach. Their example teach us say when we de suffer, we go fit endure and still de happy.

We work hard well-well for many years, sotey we no get plenty time to rest. This one make my wife start to de feel weak every time and we no quick know say na one sickness wey them de call fibromyalgia, de cause-am. Because of this one, we plan to resign from our Bethel work and go back to Canada. When them invite us to the Branch Committee school, for Patterson, wey dey New York, for U.S.A., I think say we no go fit go. But after serious prayer, we agree to go. And Jehovah bless that decision. Na when we dey the school my wife fit get better treatment for the sickness. And this one help us fit continue our work again.

One evening for 2008, when we still dey Estonia, brothers for headquarter call me and ask whether I go like to go serve for Congo. E shock me, especially because them need the answer the next day. I no first tell my wife about-am because I know say e no go fit sleep for night if e hear-am. But na me no fit sleep because I de pray to Jehovah and de tell-am about how I de feel about Africa.

When I tell my wife the next day, we think about-am and tell ourself say: “Na Jehovah de invite us to Africa. How we go fit know if we go fit do-am and enjoy-am if we no first try-am?” So after we don serve for 16 years for Estonia, we enter  plane go Kinshasa for Congo. The branch office get fine-fine garden and the place dey cool. The first thing wey my wife put for our room na one card wey them give-am for Canada. Them write for the card say: “Make you grow well and shine anywhere them plant you.” After we don meet the brothers, study Bible students, and de enjoy our missionary work, we come love our work for Jehovah organization more. As time de go, headquarter send us go visit and encourage 13 other country for Africa. This one make us fit learn plenty better things about Africa and the people for there. I no come de fear Africa again and we thank Jehovah say e send us go Africa.

For Congo, them give us different-different type of food, even the ones wey I no ever think say we go fit chop. We see say our brothers de chop this food and enjoy them, so we try them and we still enjoy them.

We travel go the east side of the country to encourage our brothers and sisters, and give them things wey them need. For that area, people de attack different-different village and do wicked things to women and children. Plenty of the brothers poor. Their hope wey them get say Jehovah go bring their people wey don die back to life, their love for Jehovah, and the way them hold Jehovah organization tight, really touch us. Their better example make us think about why we de worship Jehovah and to do our best to make our faith for Jehovah continue to dey strong. The wicked people wey de attack the village them, destroy the house and farm of some brothers. This one teach me say we fit quick lose the things wey we get. But even with all this things, the brothers no de too complain about their problems. The way them de do things teach us say make we dey strong when we de face problem and sickness.

We receive another surprise again when them send us go Hong Kong branch. We no think say we go ever go Asia. But as we don see how Jehovah help us for all the place wey our organization send us go, we agree say we go go Hong Kong branch. So for 2013, we comot from Africa. We cry as we de  leave our good friends and the better-better things wey we really enjoy and de go new place wey we no know before.

To comot from Africa go Hong Kong na really big change because na big country and na people from different-different place de stay there. The Chinese language really hard to learn. But the brothers welcome us well and we enjoy their food. As the work for branch office de plenty, na so the price of land and house dey go up. So Governing Body decide to sell plenty of the place. And for 2015, them send us go South Korea where we continue to do our work. For there, we meet another strong language, and even though say we no sabi speak the language well, the brothers and sisters continue to encourage us say we de try for the ones wey we de fit speak.

To get new friends no easy, but we don learn say when we welcome people well and treat them well, e go easy for us to be their friends. We don learn say the things wey make our brothers one, plenty pass the things wey make them different. And say Jehovah make us to fit open our heart to get plenty friends and love them.—2 Cor. 6:11.

We don learn say we need to welcome people the way Jehovah de welcome them. And de try see things wey show say Jehovah love us and de direct us. Anytime wey something make us no happy or we de wonder whether our brothers really love us, we go read the letters wey our friends give us and the things wey them write for the card wey them give us. We don see how Jehovah answer our prayer, make our mind come down and give us power wey we need.

Since we marry, me and my wife don learn say e really dey important to spend time with each other no matter how we busy reach. We don still learn say e good make we try laugh even when we make mistake, especially when we de learn new language. And every night, we de try think about something wey we enjoy wey we fit thank Jehovah for.

True-true, I think say I no go ever fit be missionary or stay another country. But the truth be say I don learn how Jehovah fit make wetin we think say no go fit happen, happen. Wetin prophet Jeremiah talk come my mind, e say: “You surprise me, O Jehovah.” (Jer. 20:7) True-true, Jehovah don surprise us with plenty better things and blessings wey we no expect. E even make wetin I want when I dey small, happen, wey be to use plane travel go different-different country. We don use plane travel go plenty place for this world pass wetin I fit ever think or wish when I still be boy. I really thank my wife as e always support me for all the place wey our organization send us go.

We de always remind ourself say we de do everything because of our love for Jehovah. The blessing wey we don get na just small when we compare them to the ones wey we go get for paradise, when Jehovah go “open [e] hand, and . . . give everything wey get life wetin they want.”—Ps. 145:16.
