UPDATE—FINES REDUCED | Convinced of Jehovah’s Support

On February 13, 2023, the Supreme Court of the Chuvash Republic reduced the fines imposed on Sisters Nina Martynova and Zoya Pavlova from 350,000 rubles ($4,780 U.S.) to 80,000 rubles ($1,092 U.S.). The suspended prison sentences imposed on Brothers Andrey Martynov and Mikhail Yermakov remain unchanged.

On December 22, 2022, the Alatyrskiy District Court of the Chuvash Republic convicted Andrey, Nina, Zoya, and Mikhail. Nina and Zoya were both fined 350,000 rubles ($4,780 U.S.). Andrey and Mikhail were both given six-year suspended prison sentences. They do not need to go to prison at this time.
