1 Corinthians 6:1-20

6  Τολμᾷ Is daringτις anyoneὑμῶν of YOUπρᾶγμα matterἔχων havingπρὸς towardτὸν theἕτερον different (one)κρίνεσθαι to be judging selfἐπὶ uponτῶν theἀδίκων, unjust (ones),καὶ andοὐχὶ notἐπὶ uponτῶν theἁγίων; holy (ones)? 2  ἢ Orοὐκ notοἴδατε have YOU knownὅτι thatοἱ theἅγιοι holy (ones)τὸν theκόσμον worldκρινοῦσιν; will judge?καὶ Andεἰ ifἐν inὑμῖν YOUκρίνεται is being judgedὁ theκόσμος, world,ἀνάξιοί unworthyἐστε are YOUκριτηρίων of judging placesἐλαχίστων; least? 3  οὐκ Notοἴδατε have YOU knownὅτι thatἀγγέλους angelsκρινοῦμεν, we shall judge,μήτιγε not something in factβιωτικά; (things) pertaining to life? 4  βιωτικὰ Pertaining to lifeμὲν indeedοὖν thereforeκριτήρια judging placesἐὰν if everἔχητε, YOU may be having,τοὺς the (ones)ἐξουθενημένους being treated as nothingἐν inτῇ theἐκκλησίᾳ, ecclesia,τούτους these (ones)καθίζετε; are YOU seating? 5  πρὸς Towardἐντροπὴν embarrassmentὑμῖν to YOUλέγω. I am saying.οὕτως Thusοὐκ notἔνι isἐν inὑμῖν YOUοὐδεὶς no oneσοφὸς wiseὃς whoδυνήσεται will be ableδιακρῖναι to judge throughἀνὰ upμέσον midstτοῦ of theἀδελφοῦ brotherαὐτοῦ, of him, 6  ἀλλὰ butἀδελφὸς brotherμετὰ withἀδελφοῦ brotherκρίνεται, is getting judged,καὶ andτοῦτο thisἐπὶ uponἀπίστων; unbelievers? 7  ἤδη Alreadyμὲν indeedοὖν thereforeὅλως whollyἥττημα decreaseὑμῖν to YOUἐστὶν it isὅτι thatκρίματα lawsuitsἔχετε YOU are havingμεθ’ withἑαυτῶν· selves;διὰ throughτί whatοὐχὶ notμᾶλλον ratherἀδικεῖσθε; be YOU being treated unjustly?διὰ Throughτί whatοὐχὶ notμᾶλλον ratherἀποστερεῖσθε; be depriving yourselves? 8  ἀλλὰ Butὑμεῖς YOUἀδικεῖτε are treating unjustlyκαὶ andἀποστερεῖτε, YOU are depriving,καὶ andτοῦτο thisἀδελφούς. brothers. 9  ἢ Orοὐκ notοἴδατε have YOU knownὅτι thatἄδικοι unjust (ones)θεοῦ of Godβασιλείαν kingdomοὐ notκληρονομήσουσιν; they will inherit?Μὴ Notπλανᾶσθε· be YOU being misled;οὔτε neitherπόρνοι fornicatorsοὔτε norεἰδωλολάτραι idolatersοὔτε norμοιχοὶ adulterersοὔτε norμαλακοὶ soft [men]οὔτε norἀρσενοκοῖται liers with males 10  οὔτε norκλέπται thievesοὔτε norπλεονέκται, covetous (ones),οὐ notμέθυσοι, drunkards,οὐ notλοίδοροι, revilers,οὐχ notἅρπαγες snatchersβασιλείαν kingdomθεοῦ of Godκληρονομήσουσιν. they will inherit. 11  Καὶ Andταῦτά these (things)τινες someἦτε· YOU were;ἀλλὰ butἀπελούσασθε, YOU were washed off,ἀλλὰ butἡγιάσθητε, YOU were sanctified,ἀλλὰ butἐδικαιώθητε YOU were justifiedἐν inτῷ theὀνόματι nameτοῦ of theκυρίου Lordἡμῶν of usἸησοῦ of JesusΧριστοῦ Christκαὶ andἐν inτῷ theπνεύματι spiritτοῦ of theθεοῦ Godἡμῶν. of us. 12  Πάντα All (things)μοι to meἔξεστιν· is being lawful;ἀλλ’ butοὐ notπάντα all (things)συμφέρει. is bearing together.πάντα All (things)μοι to meἔξεστιν· is being lawful;ἀλλ’ butοὐκ notἐγὼ Iἐξουσιασθήσομαι shall be brought under authorityὑπό byτινος. anyone. 13  τὰ Theβρώματα things eatenτῇ to theκοιλίᾳ, cavity,καὶ andἡ theκοιλία cavityτοῖς to theβρώμασιν· things eaten;ὁ theδὲ butθεὸς Godκαὶ alsoταύτην thisκαὶ andταῦτα these (things)καταργήσει. will make ineffective.τὸ Theδὲ butσῶμα bodyοὐ notτῇ to theπορνείᾳ fornication,ἀλλὰ butτῷ to theκυρίῳ, Lord,καὶ andὁ theκύριος Lordτῷ to theσώματι· body; 14  ὁ theδὲ butθεὸς Godκαὶ bothτὸν theκύριον Lordἤγειρεν raised upκαὶ andἡμᾶς usἐξεγερεῖ he will raise up outδιὰ throughτῆς theδυνάμεως powerαὐτοῦ. of him. 15  οὐκ Notοἴδατε have YOU knownὅτι thatτὰ theσώματα bodiesὑμῶν of YOUμέλη membersΧριστοῦ of Christἐστίν; is?ἄρας Having lifted upοὖν thereforeτὰ theμέλη membersτοῦ of theχριστοῦ Christποιήσω shall I makeπόρνης of harlotμέλη; members?μὴ Notγένοιτο. may it occur. 16  ἢ Orοὐκ notοἴδατε have YOU knownὅτι thatὁ the (one)κολλώμενος making self stickτῇ to theπόρνῃ harlotἓν oneσῶμά bodyἐστιν; he is?Ἔσονται They will beγάρ, for,φησίν, says he,οἱ theδύο twoεἰς intoσάρκα fleshμίαν. one. 17  ὁ The (one)δὲ butκολλώμενος making self stickτῷ to theκυρίῳ Lordἓν oneπνεῦμά spiritἐστιν. he is. 18  φεύγετε Be YOU fleeing fromτὴν theπορνείαν· fornication;πᾶν everyἁμάρτημα sinful (thing)ὃ whichἐὰν if everποιήσῃ might doἄνθρωπος manἐκτὸς outsideτοῦ of theσώματός bodyἐστιν, it is,ὁ the (one)δὲ butπορνεύων committing fornicationεἰς intoτὸ theἴδιον ownσῶμα bodyἁμαρτάνει. is sinning. 19  ἢ Orοὐκ notοἴδατε have YOU knownὅτι thatτὸ theσῶμα bodyὑμῶν of YOUναὸς divine habitationτοῦ of theἐν inὑμῖν YOUἁγίου holyπνεύματός spiritἐστιν, is,οὗ of whichἔχετε YOU are havingἀπὸ fromθεοῦ; God?καὶ Andοὐκ notἐστὲ YOU areἑαυτῶν, of selves, 20  ἠγοράσθητε YOU were boughtγὰρ forτιμῆς· of price;δοξάσατε glorify YOUδὴ actuallyτὸν theθεὸν Godἐν inτῷ theσώματι bodyὑμῶν. of YOU.
