Ephesians 6:1-24

6  Τὰ Theτέκνα, children,ὑπακούετε be YOU obeyingτοῖς to theγονεῦσιν parentsὑμῶν of YOUἐν inκυρίῳ, Lord,τοῦτο thisγάρ forἐστιν isδίκαιον· righteous; 2  τίμα Be honoringτὸν theπατέρα fatherσου of youκαὶ andτὴν theμητέρα, mother,ἥτις whichἐστὶν isἐντολὴ commandmentπρώτη firstἐν inἐπαγγελίᾳ, promise, 3  ἵνα in order thatεὖ wellσοι to youγένηται it might occurκαὶ andἔσῃ you will beμακροχρόνιος long-timedἐπὶ uponτῆς theγῆς. earth. 4  Καὶ Andοἱ theπατέρες, fathers,μὴ notπαροργίζετε be YOU provoking to wrathτὰ theτέκνα childrenὑμῶν, of YOU,ἀλλὰ butἐκτρέφετε be YOU nourishing outαὐτὰ themἐν inπαιδείᾳ disciplineκαὶ andνουθεσίᾳ putting mind inΚυρίου. of Lord. 5  Οἱ Theδοῦλοι, slaves,ὑπακούετε be YOU obeyingτοῖς to theκατὰ according toσάρκα fleshκυρίοις to lordsμετὰ withφόβου fearκαὶ andτρόμου tremblingἐν inἁπλότητι simplicityτῆς of theκαρδίας heartὑμῶν of YOUὡς asτῷ to theχριστῷ, Christ, 6  μὴ notκατ’ according toὀφθαλμοδουλίαν eye-slaveryὡς asἀνθρωπάρεσκοι men pleasersἀλλ’ butὡς asδοῦλοι slavesΧριστοῦ of Christποιοῦντες doingτὸ theθέλημα willτοῦ of theθεοῦ Godἐκ out ofψυχῆς, soul, 7  μετ’ withεὐνοίας well-mindednessδουλεύοντες, slaving,ὡς asτῷ to theκυρίῳ Lordκαὶ andοὐκ notἀνθρώποις, to men, 8  εἰδότες having knownὅτι thatἕκαστος, each (one),ἐάν if everτι anythingποιήσῃ he might doἀγαθόν, good,τοῦτο thisκομίσεται he will carry off for selfπαρὰ besideκυρίου, of Lord,εἴτε whetherδοῦλος slaveεἴτε orἐλεύθερος. freeman. 9  Καὶ Andοἱ theκύριοι, lords,τὰ theαὐτὰ very (things)ποιεῖτε be YOU doingπρὸς towardαὐτούς, them,ἀνιέντες letting go upτὴν theἀπειλήν, threatening,εἰδότες having knownὅτι thatκαὶ alsoαὐτῶν of themκαὶ andὑμῶν of YOUtheκύριός Lordἐστιν isἐν inοὐρανοῖς, heavens,καὶ andπροσωπολημψία receiving of faceοὐκ notἔστιν isπαρ’ besideαὐτῷ. him. 10  Τοῦ Of theλοιποῦ leftover (thing)ἐνδυναμοῦσθε be YOU being empoweredἐν inκυρίῳ Lordκαὶ andἐν inτῷ theκράτει mightinessτῆς of theἰσχύος strengthαὐτοῦ. him. 11  ἐνδύσασθε Put on yourselvesτὴν theπανοπλίαν panoplyτοῦ of theθεοῦ Godπρὸς towardτὸ theδύνασθαι to be ableὑμᾶς YOUστῆναι to standπρὸς towardτὰς theμεθοδίας crafty actsτοῦ of theδιαβόλου· Devil; 12  ὅτι becauseοὐκ notἔστιν isἡμῖν to ustheπάλη wrestlingπρὸς towardαἷμα bloodκαὶ andσάρκα, flesh,ἀλλὰ butπρὸς towardτὰς theἀρχάς, governments,πρὸς towardτὰς theἐξουσίας, authorities,πρὸς towardτοὺς theκοσμοκράτορας world-mighty onesτοῦ of theσκότους darknessτούτου, this,πρὸς towardτὰ theπνευματικὰ spiritual (things)τῆς of theπονηρίας wickednessἐν inτοῖς theἐπουρανίοις. heavenly [places]. 13  διὰ Throughτοῦτο thisἀναλάβετε take YOU upτὴν theπανοπλίαν panoplyτοῦ of theθεοῦ, God,ἵνα in order thatδυνηθῆτε YOU might be ableἀντιστῆναι to stand againstἐν inτῇ theἡμέρᾳ dayτῇ theπονηρᾷ wickedκαὶ andἅπαντα all (things)κατεργασάμενοι having worked downστῆναι. to stand. 14  στῆτε Stand YOUοὖν thereforeπεριζωσάμενοι having girded selves aboutτὴν theὀσφὺν loinὑμῶν of YOUἐν inἀληθείᾳ, truth,καὶ andἐνδυσάμενοι having put on selvesτὸν theθώρακα breastplateτῆς of theδικαιοσύνης, righteousness, 15  καὶ andὑποδησάμενοι having bound under selvesτοὺς theπόδας feetἐν inἑτοιμασίᾳ readinessτοῦ of theεὐαγγελίου good newsτῆς of theεἰρήνης, peace, 16  ἐν inπᾶσιν all (things)ἀναλαβόντες (ones) having taken upτὸν theθυρεὸν large shieldτῆς of theπίστεως, faith,ἐν inwhichδυνήσεσθε YOU will be ableπάντα allτὰ theβέλη missilesτοῦ of theπονηροῦ wicked (one)τὰ the (ones)πεπυρωμένα having been set afireσβέσαι· to extinguish; 17  καὶ andτὴν theπερικεφαλαίαν helmetτοῦ of theσωτηρίου salvationδέξασθε, accept YOU,καὶ andτὴν theμάχαιραν swordτοῦ of theπνεύματος, spirit,whichἐστιν isῥῆμα sayingθεοῦ, of God, 18  διὰ throughπάσης allπροσευχῆς prayerκαὶ andδεήσεως, of supplication,προσευχόμενοι prayingἐν inπαντὶ everyκαιρῷ appointed timeἐν inπνεύματι, spirit,καὶ andεἰς intoαὐτὸ itἀγρυπνοῦντες abstaining from sleepἐν inπάσῃ allπροσκαρτερήσει perseveranceκαὶ andδεήσει to supplicationπερὶ aboutπάντων allτῶν theἁγίων, holy (ones), 19  καὶ andὑπὲρ overἐμοῦ, me,ἵνα in order thatμοι to meδοθῇ might be givenλόγος wordἐν inἀνοίξει opening upτοῦ of theστόματός mouthμου, of me,ἐν inπαρρησίᾳ outspokennessγνωρίσαι to make knownτὸ theμυστήριον mysteryτοῦ of theεὐαγγελίου good news 20  ὑπὲρ overοὗ whichπρεσβεύω I am ambassadorἐν inἁλύσει, chain,ἵνα in order thatἐν inαὐτῷ itπαρρησιάσωμαι I might be outspokenὡς asδεῖ it is bindingμε meλαλῆσαι. to speak. 21  Ἵνα In order thatδὲ butεἰδῆτε YOU might discernκαὶ alsoὑμεῖς YOUτὰ the (things)κατ’ according toἐμέ, me,τί whatπράσσω, I am performing,πάντα all (things)γνωρίσει will make knownὑμῖν to YOUΤύχικος Tychicustheἀγαπητὸς lovedἀδελφὸς brotherκαὶ andπιστὸς faithfulδιάκονος servantἐν inκυρίῳ, Lord, 22  ὃν whomἔπεμψα I sentπρὸς towardὑμᾶς YOUεἰς intoαὐτὸ veryτοῦτο this (thing)ἵνα in order thatγνῶτε YOU might knowτὰ the (things)περὶ aboutἡμῶν usκαὶ andπαρακαλέσῃ he might comfortτὰς theκαρδίας heartsὑμῶν. of YOU. 23  Εἰρήνη Peaceτοῖς to theἀδελφοῖς brothersκαὶ andἀγάπη loveμετὰ withπίστεως faithἀπὸ fromθεοῦ Godπατρὸς Fatherκαὶ andκυρίου LordἸησοῦ JesusΧριστοῦ. Christ. 24  Theχάρις undeserved kindnessμετὰ withπάντων allτῶν the (ones)ἀγαπώντων lovingτὸν theκύριον Lordἡμῶν of usἸησοῦν JesusΧριστὸν Christἐν inἀφθαρσίᾳ. incorruptness.
