Jude 1:1-25

1  Ἰούδας JudasἸησοῦ of JesusΧριστοῦ Christδοῦλος, slave,ἀδελφὸς brotherδὲ butἸακώβου, of James,τοῖς to the (ones)ἐν inθεῷ Godπατρὶ Fatherἠγαπημένοις having been lovedκαὶ andἸησοῦ to JesusΧριστῷ Christτετηρημένοις to (ones) having been keptκλητοῖς· called (ones); 2  ἔλεος Mercyὑμῖν to YOUκαὶ andεἰρήνη peaceκαὶ andἀγάπη loveπληθυνθείη. may it be multiplied. 3  ᾿Αγαπητοί, Loved (ones),πᾶσαν everyσπουδὴν speedupποιούμενος makingγράφειν to be writingὑμῖν to YOUπερὶ aboutτῆς theκοινῆς commonἡμῶν of usσωτηρίας salvationἀνάγκην necessityἔσχον I hadγράψαι to writeὑμῖν to YOUπαρακαλῶν encouragingἐπαγωνίζεσθαι to be struggling uponτῇ to theἅπαξ once for allπαραδοθείσῃ having been given besideτοῖς to theἁγίοις holy (ones)πίστει. to faith. 4  παρεισεδύησαν Slipped into besideγάρ forτινες someἄνθρωποι, men,οἱ the (ones)πάλαι of oldπρογεγραμμένοι having been written beforeεἰς intoτοῦτο thisτὸ theκρίμα, judgment,ἀσεβεῖς, irreverential (ones),τὴν theτοῦ of theθεοῦ Godἡμῶν of usχάριτα undeserved kindnessμετατιθέντες putting acrossεἰς intoἀσέλγειαν loose conductκαὶ andτὸν theμόνον onlyδεσπότην masterκαὶ andκύριον Lordἡμῶν of usἸησοῦν of JesusΧριστὸν Christἀρνούμενοι. (ones) denying. 5  Ὑπομνῆσαι To remindδὲ butὑμᾶς YOUβούλομαι, I am wishing,εἰδότας (ones) having knownἅπαξ once for allπάντα, all (things),ὅτι thatΚύριος Lordλαὸν peopleἐκ out ofγῆς earthΑἰγύπτου of Egyptσώσας having savedτὸ theδεύτερον second [time]τοὺς the (ones)μὴ notπιστεύσαντας having believedἀπώλεσεν, he destroyed, 6  ἀγγέλους angelsτε andτοὺς the (ones)μὴ notτηρήσαντας having keptτὴν theἑαυτῶν of selvesἀρχὴν beginningἀλλὰ butἀπολιπόντας having left offτὸ theἴδιον ownοἰκητήριον dwelling placeεἰς intoκρίσιν judgmentμεγάλης of greatἡμέρας dayδεσμοῖς to bondsἀϊδίοις ever-beingὑπὸ underζόφον gloomτετήρηκεν· he has kept; 7  ὡς asΣόδομα Sodomκαὶ andΓόμορρα Gomorrahκαὶ andαἱ theπερὶ aboutαὐτὰς themπόλεις, cities,τὸν theὅμοιον likeτρόπον mannerτούτοις to these (ones)ἐκπορνεύσασαι [cities] having committed fornication outκαὶ andἀπελθοῦσαι having gone offὀπίσω behindσαρκὸς fleshἑτέρας, different,πρόκεινται they are lying beforeδεῖγμα something shownπυρὸς of fireαἰωνίου everlastingδίκην justiceὑπέχουσαι. having under. 8  Ὁμοίως Likewiseμέντοι indeed-to youκαὶ alsoοὗτοι theseἐνυπνιαζόμενοι dreaming (ones)σάρκα fleshμὲν indeedμιαίνουσιν, are defiling,κυριότητα lordshipδὲ butἀθετοῦσιν, they are putting aside,δόξας gloriesδὲ butβλασφημοῦσιν. they are blaspheming. 9  Theδὲ butΜιχαὴλ Michaeltheἀρχάγγελος, archangel,ὅτε whenτῷ to theδιαβόλῳ Devilδιακρινόμενος having judged for self dividedlyδιελέγετο he was saying in disagreementπερὶ aboutτοῦ of theΜωυσέως Mosesσώματος, of body,οὐκ notἐτόλμησεν he daredκρίσιν judgmentἐπενεγκεῖν to bear uponβλασφημίας, of blasphemy,ἀλλὰ butεἶπεν he said᾿Επιτιμήσαι May he give rebukeσοι to youΚύριος. Lord. 10  Οὗτοι These (ones)δὲ butὅσα as many (things) asμὲν indeedοὐκ notοἴδασιν they have knownβλασφημοῦσιν, they are blaspheming,ὅσα as many (things) asδὲ butφυσικῶς naturallyὡς asτὰ theἄλογα unreasoningζῷα living thingsἐπίστανται, they are well knowing,ἐν inτούτοις these (things)φθείρονται. they are corrupting themselves. 11  οὐαὶ Woeαὐτοῖς, to them,ὅτι becauseτῇ to theὁδῷ wayτοῦ of theΚαὶν Cainἐπορεύθησαν, they went,καὶ andτῇ to theπλάνῃ errorτοῦ of theΒαλαὰμ Balaamμισθοῦ of rewardἐξεχύθησαν, they were poured out,καὶ andτῇ to theἀντιλογίᾳ contrary sayingτοῦ of theΚορὲ Korahἀπώλοντο. they destroyed themselves. 12  οὗτοί Theseεἰσιν areοἱ the (ones)ἐν inταῖς theἀγάπαις love [feasts]ὑμῶν of YOUσπιλάδες hidden rocksσυνευωχούμενοι, feeding selves well together,ἀφόβως fearlesslyἑαυτοὺς selvesποιμαίνοντες, shepherding,νεφέλαι cloudsἄνυδροι waterlessὑπὸ byἀνέμων windsπαραφερόμεναι, being borne beside,δένδρα treesφθινοπωρινὰ autumnalἄκαρπα fruitlessδὶς twiceἀποθανόντα having diedἐκριζωθέντα, having been rooted out, 13  κύματα wavesἄγρια wildθαλάσσης of seaἐπαφρίζοντα foaming uponτὰς theἑαυτῶν of selvesαἰσχύνας, shameful things,ἀστέρες starsπλανῆται wanderingοἷς to whomtheζόφος gloomτοῦ of theσκότους darknessεἰς intoαἰῶνα ageτετήρηται. has been kept. 14  ᾿Επροφήτευσεν Prophesiedδὲ butκαὶ alsoτούτοις to these (ones)ἕβδομος seventh (one)ἀπὸ from᾿Αδὰμ AdamἙνὼχ Enochλέγων sayingἸδοὺ Look!ἦλθεν CameΚύριος Lordἐν inἁγίαις holyμυριάσιν myriadsαὐτοῦ, of him, 15  ποιῆσαι to doκρίσιν judgmentκατὰ down onπάντων all (ones)καὶ andἐλέγξαι to reproveπάντας allτοὺς theἀσεβεῖς irreverential (ones)περὶ aboutπάντων allτῶν theἔργων worksἀσεβείας of irreverentialnessαὐτῶν of themὧν of whichἠσέβησαν they did irreverentiallyκαὶ andπερὶ aboutπάντων allτῶν theσκληρῶν hard (things)ὧν of whichἐλάλησαν they spokeκατ’ down onαὐτοῦ himἁμαρτωλοὶ sinnersἀσεβεῖς. irreverential. 16  Οὗτοί Theseεἰσιν areγογγυσταί, murmurers,μεμψίμοιροι, complainers at fate,κατὰ according toτὰς theἐπιθυμίας desiresαὐτῶν of themπορευόμενοι, going their way,καὶ andτὸ theστόμα mouthαὐτῶν of themλαλεῖ is speakingὑπέρογκα, over-swelling (things),θαυμάζοντες wondering atπρόσωπα facesὠφελίας of benefitχάριν. thanks. 17  Ὑμεῖς YOUδέ, but,ἀγαπητοί, loved (ones),μνήσθητε be YOU remindedτῶν of theῥημάτων sayingsτῶν the (ones)προειρημένων having been spoken beforeὑπὸ byτῶν theἀποστόλων apostlesτοῦ of theκυρίου Lordἡμῶν of usἸησοῦ of JesusΧριστοῦ· Christ; 18  ὅτι thatἔλεγον they were sayingὑμῖν to YOU᾿Επ’ Uponἐσχάτου lastχρόνου timeἔσονται will beἐμπαῖκται players in sportκατὰ according toτὰς theἑαυτῶν of selvesἐπιθυμίας desiresπορευόμενοι going their wayτῶν of theἀσεβειῶν. irreverential things. 19  Οὗτοί Theseεἰσιν areοἱ the (ones)ἀποδιορίζοντες, making separations,ψυχικοί, soulical,πνεῦμα spiritμὴ notἔχοντες. having. 20  Ὑμεῖς YOUδέ, but,ἀγαπητοί, loved (ones),ἐποικοδομοῦντες building uponἑαυτοὺς selvesτῇ to theἁγιωτάτῃ holiestὑμῶν of YOUπίστει, to faith,ἐν inπνεύματι spiritἁγίῳ holyπροσευχόμενοι, praying, 21  ἑαυτοὺς selvesἐν inἀγάπῃ loveθεοῦ of Godτηρήσατε keep YOUπροσδεχόμενοι receiving towardτὸ theἔλεος mercyτοῦ of theκυρίου Lordἡμῶν of usἸησοῦ of JesusΧριστοῦ Christεἰς intoζωὴν lifeαἰώνιον. everlasting. 22  Καὶ Andοὓς which (ones)μὲν indeedἐλεᾶτε be YOU showing mercy toδιακρινομένους (ones) judging for selves dividedly 23  σώζετε be YOU savingἐκ out ofπυρὸς fireἁρπάζοντες, snatching,οὓς which onesδὲ butἐλεᾶτε be YOU showing mercy toἐν inφόβῳ, fear,μισοῦντες hatingκαὶ alsoτὸν theἀπὸ fromτῆς theσαρκὸς fleshἐσπιλωμένον having been spottedχιτῶνα. inner garment. 24  Τῷ To the (one)δὲ butδυναμένῳ being ableφυλάξαι to guardὑμᾶς YOUἀπταίστους not trippingκαὶ andστῆσαι to setκατενώπιον down in sightτῆς of theδόξης gloryαὐτοῦ of himἀμώμους unblemishedἐν inἀγαλλιάσει exultation 25  μόνῳ to onlyθεῷ Godσωτῆρι Saviorἡμῶν of usδιὰ throughἸησοῦ JesusΧριστοῦ Christτοῦ theκυρίου Lordἡμῶν of usδόξα gloryμεγαλωσύνη greatnessκράτος mightκαὶ andἐξουσία authorityπρὸ beforeπαντὸς allτοῦ theαἰῶνος ageκαὶ andνῦν nowκαὶ andεἰς intoπάντας allτοὺς theαἰῶνας· ages;ἀμήν. amen.
