Mark 11:1-33

11  Καὶ Andὅτε whenἐγγίζουσιν they get nearεἰς intoἸεροσόλυμα Jerusalemεἰς intoΒηθφαγὴ Bethphageκαὶ andΒηθανίαν Bethanyπρὸς towardτὸ theὌρος Mountτῶν of the᾿Ελαιῶν, Olives,ἀποστέλλει he is sending offδύο twoτῶν of theμαθητῶν disciplesαὐτοῦ of him 2  καὶ andλέγει is sayingαὐτοῖς to themὙπάγετε Be YOU going underεἰς intoτὴν theκώμην villageτὴν the (one)κατέναντι oppositeὑμῶν, of YOU,καὶ andεὐθὺς at onceεἰσπορευόμενοι going YOUR way insideεἰς intoαὐτὴν itεὑρήσετε YOU will findπῶλον coltδεδεμένον having been tiedἐφ’ uponὃν whichοὐδεὶς no oneοὔπω not as yetἀνθρώπων of menἐκάθισεν· sat down;λύσατε loose YOUαὐτὸν itκαὶ andφέρετε. be bearing. 3  καὶ Andἐάν if everτις anyoneὑμῖν to YOUεἴπῃ might sayΤί Whyποιεῖτε are YOU doingτοῦτο; this?εἴπατε say YOUὉ Theκύριος Lordαὐτοῦ of itχρείαν needἔχει· is having;καὶ andεὐθὺς at onceαὐτὸν itἀποστέλλει he is sending offπάλιν againὧδε. here. 4  καὶ Andἀπῆλθον they went offκαὶ andεὗρον foundπῶλον coltδεδεμένον having been tiedπρὸς towardθύραν doorἔξω outsideἐπὶ uponτοῦ theἀμφόδου, side street,καὶ andλύουσιν they are loosingαὐτόν. it. 5  καί Andτινες someτῶν of the (ones)ἐκεῖ thereἑστηκότων having stoodἔλεγον were sayingαὐτοῖς to themΤί Whatποιεῖτε are YOU doingλύοντες loosingτὸν theπῶλον; colt? 6  οἱ The (ones)δὲ butεἶπαν saidαὐτοῖς to themκαθὼς according asεἶπεν saidὁ theἸησοῦς· Jesus;καὶ andἀφῆκαν they let go offαὐτούς. them. 7  καὶ Andφέρουσιν they are bearingτὸν theπῶλον coltπρὸς towardτὸν theἸησοῦν, Jesus,καὶ andἐπιβάλλουσιν they are throwing uponαὐτῷ itτὰ theἱμάτια outer garmentsαὐτῶν, of them,καὶ andἐκάθισεν he sat downἐπ’ uponαὐτόν. it. 8  καὶ Andπολλοὶ manyτὰ theἱμάτια outer garmentsαὐτῶν of themἔστρωσαν spreadεἰς intoτὴν theὁδόν, way,ἄλλοι othersδὲ butστιβάδας tree branchesκόψαντες having cutἐκ out ofτῶν theἀγρῶν. fields. 9  καὶ Andοἱ the (ones)προάγοντες going ahead ofκαὶ andοἱ the (ones)ἀκολουθοῦντες followingἔκραζον were crying outὩσαννά· Hosanna;Εὐλογημένος Blessedὁ the (one)ἐρχόμενος comingἐν inὀνόματι nameΚυρίου· of Lord; 10  Εὐλογημένη Blessedἡ theἐρχομένη comingβασιλεία kingdomτοῦ of theπατρὸς fatherἡμῶν of usΔαυείδ· David;Ὡσαννὰ Hosannaἐν inτοῖς theὑψίστοις. highest [places]. 11  Καὶ Andεἰσῆλθεν he enteredεἰς intoἸεροσόλυμα Jerusalemεἰς intoτὸ theἱερόν· temple;καὶ andπεριβλεψάμενος having looked around onπάντα all (things)ὀψὲ lateἤδη alreadyοὔσης beingτῆς of theὥρας hourἐξῆλθεν he went outεἰς intoΒηθανίαν Bethanyμετὰ withτῶν theδώδεκα. twelve. 12  Καὶ Andτῇ to theἐπαύριον morrowἐξελθόντων having come outαὐτῶν of themἀπὸ fromΒηθανίας Bethanyἐπείνασεν. he became hungry. 13  καὶ Andἰδὼν having seenσυκῆν fig treeἀπὸ fromμακρόθεν afarἔχουσαν havingφύλλα leavesἦλθεν he cameεἰ ifἄρα reallyτι anythingεὑρήσει he will findἐν inαὐτῇ, it,καὶ andἐλθὼν having comeἐπ’ uponαὐτὴν itοὐδὲν nothingεὗρεν he foundεἰ ifμὴ notφύλλα, leaves,ὁ theγὰρ forκαιρὸς appointed timeοὐκ notἦν wasσύκων. of figs. 14  καὶ Andἀποκριθεὶς having answeredεἶπεν he saidαὐτῇ to itΜηκέτι Not yetεἰς intoτὸν theαἰῶνα ageἐκ out ofσοῦ youμηδεὶς no oneκαρπὸν fruitφάγοι. may eat.καὶ Andἤκουον were hearingοἱ theμαθηταὶ disciplesαὐτοῦ. of him. 15  Καὶ Andἔρχονται they are comingεἰς intoἸεροσόλυμα. Jerusalem.Καὶ Andἐν inτῷ theἱερῷ templeπεριπατοῦντος walking aboutαὐτοῦ of himἔρχονται are comingπρὸς towardαὐτὸν himοἱ theἀρχιερεῖς chief priestsκαὶ andοἱ theγραμματεῖς scribesκαὶ andοἱ theπρεσβύτεροι older men 28  καὶ andἔλεγον were sayingαὐτῷ to him᾿Εν Inποίᾳ what sort ofἐξουσίᾳ authorityταῦτα these (things)ποιεῖς; are you doing?ἢ Orτίς whoσοι to youἔδωκεν gaveτὴν theἐξουσίαν authorityταύτην thisἵνα in order thatταῦτα these (things)ποιῇς; you may be doing? 29  ὁ Theδὲ butἸησοῦς Jesusεἶπεν saidαὐτοῖς to them᾿Επερωτήσω I shall inquire uponὑμᾶς YOUἕνα oneλόγον, word,καὶ andἀποκρίθητέ answer YOUμοι, to me,καὶ andἐρῶ I shall sayὑμῖν to YOUἐν inποίᾳ what sort ofἐξουσίᾳ authorityταῦτα these (things)ποιῶ· I am doing; 30  τὸ Theβάπτισμα baptismτὸ the (one)Ἰωάνου of Johnἐξ out ofοὐρανοῦ heavenἦν wasἢ orἐξ out ofἀνθρώπων; men?ἀποκρίθητέ Answer YOUμοι. to me. 31  καὶ Andδιελογίζοντο they were reasoningπρὸς towardἑαυτοὺς themselvesλέγοντες saying᾿Εὰν If everεἴπωμεν we should say᾿Εξ out ofοὐρανοῦ, heaven,ἐρεῖ he will sayΔιὰ Throughτί whatοὖν thereforeοὐκ notἐπιστεύσατε YOU believedαὐτῷ; to him? 32  ἀλλὰ Butεἴπωμεν should we say᾿Εξ Out ofἀνθρώπων; men?— —ἐφοβοῦντο they were fearingτὸν theὄχλον, crowd,ἅπαντες allγὰρ forεἶχον were havingτὸν theἸωάνην Johnὄντως in beingnessὅτι thatπροφήτης prophetἦν. he was. 33  καὶ Andἀποκριθέντες having repliedτῷ to theἸησοῦ Jesusλέγουσιν they are sayingΟὐκ Notοἴδαμεν. we have known.καὶ Andὁ theἸησοῦς Jesusλέγει is sayingαὐτοῖς to themΟὐδὲ Neitherἐγὼ Iλέγω am sayingὑμῖν to YOUἐν inποίᾳ what sort ofἐξουσίᾳ authorityταῦτα these (things)ποιῶ.
