Mark 16:1-20

16  Καὶ Andδιαγενομένου having come to be throughτοῦ of theσαββάτου sabbaththeΜαρία MarytheΜαγδαληνὴ Magdaleneκαὶ andΜαρία Marythe [mother]τοῦ of theἸακώβου Jamesκαὶ andΣαλώμη Salomeἠγόρασαν boughtἀρώματα spicesἵνα in order thatἐλθοῦσαι having comeἀλείψωσιν they might greaseαὐτόν. him. 2  καὶ Andλίαν exceedinglyπρωὶ earlyτῇ to theμιᾷ one [day]τῶν of theσαββάτων sabbathsἔρχονται they are comingἐπὶ uponτὸ theμνημεῖον memorial tombἀνατείλαντος having risen upτοῦ of theἡλίου. sun. 3  καὶ Andἔλεγον they were sayingπρὸς towardἑαυτάς themselvesΤίς Whoἀποκυλίσει will roll awayἡμῖν to usτὸν theλίθον stoneἐκ out ofτῆς theθύρας doorτοῦ of theμνημείου; memorial tomb? 4  καὶ Andἀναβλέψασαι having looked upθεωροῦσιν they are viewingὅτι thatἀνακεκύλισται has been rolled awaytheλίθος, stone,ἦν it wasγὰρ forμέγας greatσφόδρα. extremely. 5  καὶ Andεἰσελθοῦσαι having enteredεἰς intoτὸ theμνημεῖον memorial tombεἶδον they sawνεανίσκον young manκαθήμενον sittingἐν inτοῖς theδεξιοῖς right-hand [places]περιβεβλημένον having thrown around himselfστολὴν robeλευκήν, white,καὶ andἐξεθαμβήθησαν. they were stunned. 6  The (one)δὲ butλέγει is sayingαὐταῖς to themΜὴ Notἐκθαμβεῖσθε· be YOU stunned;Ἰησοῦν Jesusζητεῖτε YOU are seekingτὸν theΝαζαρηνὸν Nazareneτὸν the (one)ἐσταυρωμένον· having been put on the stake;ἠγέρθη, he was raised up,οὐκ notἔστιν he isὧδε· here;ἴδε see!theτόπος placeὅπου whereἔθηκαν they putαὐτόν· him; 7  ἀλλὰ butὑπάγετε be YOU going underεἴπατε sayτοῖς to theμαθηταῖς disciplesαὐτοῦ of himκαὶ andτῷ to theΠέτρῳ Peterὅτι thatΠροάγει He is going beforeὑμᾶς YOUεἰς intoτὴν theΓαλιλαίαν· Galilee;ἐκεῖ thereαὐτὸν himὄψεσθε, YOU will see,καθὼς according asεἶπεν he saidὑμῖν. to YOU. 8  καὶ Andἐξελθοῦσαι having come outἔφυγον they fledἀπὸ fromτοῦ theμνημείου, memorial tomb,εἶχεν was havingγὰρ forαὐτὰς themτρόμος tremblingκαὶ andἔκστασις· ecstasy;καὶ andοὐδενὶ to no oneοὐδὲν nothingεἶπαν, they said,ἐφοβοῦντο they were fearingγάρ· for; LONG CONCLUSION Certain ancient manuscripts (ACD) and versions (VgSyc,p) add the following long conclusion, but which אBSysArm omit: 9  [[᾿Αναστὰς [[Having stood upδὲ butπρωὶ earlyπρώτῃ to first [day]σαββάτου of sabbathἐφάνη he appearedπρῶτον firstΜαρίᾳ to Maryτῇ theΜαγδαληνῇ, Magdalene,παρ’ besideἧς whomἐκβεβλήκει he had thrown outἑπτὰ sevenδαιμόνια. demons. 10  ἐκείνη That (one)πορευθεῖσα having gone her wayἀπήγγειλεν reported backτοῖς to the (ones)μετ’ withαὐτοῦ himγενομένοις having come to beπενθοῦσι mourningκαὶ andκλαίουσιν· weeping; 11  κἀκεῖνοι and thoseἀκούσαντες having heardὅτι thatζῇ he livesκαὶ andἐθεάθη was viewedὑπ’ byαὐτῆς herἠπίστησαν. disbelieved. 12  Μετὰ Afterδὲ butταῦτα these (thingsδυσὶν to twoἐξ out ofαὐτῶν themπεριπατοῦσιν walking aboutἐφανερώθη he was made manifestἐν inἑτέρᾳ differentμορφῇ formπορευομένοις going their wayεἰς intoἀγρόν· field; 13  κἀκεῖνοι and those (ones)ἀπελθόντες having gone offἀπήγγειλαν reported backτοῖς tot heλοιποῖς· leftover (ones);οὐδὲ not-butἐκείνοις to those (ones)ἐπίστευσαν. they believed. 14  Ὕστερον Laterδὲ butἀνακειμένοις to (ones) lying upαὐτοῖς to themτοῖς to theἕνδεκα elevenἐφανερώθη, he was made manifest,καὶ andὠνείδισεν he reproachedτὴν theἀπιστίαν lack of faithαὐτῶν of themκαὶ andσκληροκαρδίαν hardheartednessὅτι becauseτοῖς to the (ones)θεασαμένοις having viewedαὐτὸν himἐγηγερμένον having been raised upἐκ out ofνεκρῶν dead (ones)οῦκ notἐπίστευσαν. they believed. 15  καὶ Andεἶπεν he saidαὐτοῖς to themΠορευθέντες Having gone YOUR wayεἰς intoτὸν theκόσμον worldἅπαντα allκηρύξατε preach YOUτὸ theεὐαγγέλιον good newsπάσῃ to allτῇ theκτίσει. creation. 16  The (one)πιστεύσας having believedκαὶ andβαπτισθεὶς having been baptizedσωθήσεται, will be saved,the (one)δὲ butἀπιστήσας having disbelievedκατακριθήσεται. will be judged down. 17  σημεῖα Signsδὲ butτοῖς to the (ones)πιστεύσασιν having believedἀκολουθήσει will followταῦτα, these,ἐν inτῷ theὀνόματί nameμου of meδαιμόνια demonsἐκβαλοῦσιν, they will throw out,γλώσσαις to tonguesλαλήσουσιν, they will speak, 18  καὶ andἐν inταῖς theχερσὶν handsὄφεις serpentsἀροῦσιν they will lift upκἂν and if everθανάσιμόν deadlyτι anythingπίωσιν they should drinkοὐ notμὴ notαὐτοὺς themβλάψῃ, it should hurt,ἐπὶ uponἀρρώστους sick (ones)χεῖρας handsἐπιθήσουσιν they will imposeκαὶ andκαλῶς finelyἕξουσιν. they will have. 19  Theμὲν indeedοὖν thereforeκύριος LordἸησοῦς Jesusμετὰ afterτὸ theλαλῆσαι to speakαὐτοῖς to themἀνελήμφθη was taken upεἰς intoτὸν theοὐρανὸν heavenκαὶ andἐκάθισεν sat downἐκ out ofδεξιῶν right-hand [parts]τοῦ of theθεοῦ.
