Philippians 3:1-21

3  Τὸ Theλοιπόν, leftover (thing),ἀδελφοί brothersμου, of me,χαίρετε be YOU rejoicingἐν inκυρίῳ. Lord.τὰ Theαὐτὰ very (things)γράφειν to be writingὑμῖν to YOUἐμοὶ to meμὲν indeedοὐκ notὀκνηρόν, troublesome (thing),ὑμῖν to YOUδὲ butἀσφαλές.— safe (thing).— 2  Βλέπετε Be YOU seeingτοὺς theκύνας, dogs,βλέπετε be YOU seeingτοὺς theκακοὺς badἐργάτας, workers,βλέπετε be YOU seeingτὴν theκατατομήν. cutting down. 3  ἡμεῖς Weγάρ forἐσμεν we areἡ theπεριτομή, circumcision,οἱ the (ones)πνεύματι to spiritθεοῦ of Godλατρεύοντες rendering sacred serviceκαὶ andκαυχώμενοι boastingἐν inΧριστῷ ChristἸησοῦ Jesusκαὶ andοὐκ notἐν inσαρκὶ fleshπεποιθότες, having been confident, 4  καίπερ and-evenἐγὼ Iἔχων havingπεποίθησιν confidenceκαὶ alsoἐν inσαρκί. flesh. Εἴ Ifτις anyδοκεῖ thinksἄλλος otherπεποιθέναι to have been confidentἐν inσαρκί, flesh,ἐγὼ Iμᾶλλον· rather; 5  περιτομῇ to circumcisionὀκταήμερος, eighth day (one),ἐκ out ofγένους raceἸσραήλ, of Israel,φυλῆς of tribeΒενιαμείν, of Benjamin,᾿Εβραῖος Hebrewἐξ out of᾿Εβραίων, Hebrews,κατὰ according toνόμον lawΦαρισαῖος, Pharisee, 6  κατὰ according toζῆλος zealδιώκων persecutingτὴν theἐκκλησίαν, ecclesia,κατὰ according toδικαιοσύνην righteousnessτὴν theἐν inνόμῳ lawγενόμενος having come to beἄμεμπτος. blameless. 7  ᾿Αλλὰ Butἅτινα what (things)ἦν wasμοι to meκέρδη, gains,ταῦτα these (things)ἥγημαι I have consideredδιὰ throughτὸν theχριστὸν Christζημίαν. loss. 8  ἀλλὰ Butμὲν indeedοὖν thereforeγε in factκαὶ alsoἡγοῦμαι I am consideringπάντα all (things)ζημίαν lossεἶναι to beδιὰ throughτὸ theὑπερέχον superior (ness)τῆς of theγνώσεως knowledgeΧριστοῦ of ChristἸησοῦ Jesusτοῦ theκυρίου Lordμου of meδι’ throughὃν whomτὰ theπάντα all (things)ἐζημιώθην, I suffered loss,καὶ andἡγοῦμαι I am consideringσκύβαλα pieces of refuseἵνα in order thatΧριστὸν Christκερδήσω I might gain 9  καὶ andεὑρεθῶ I might be foundἐν inαὐτῷ, him,μὴ notἔχων havingἐμὴν myδικαιοσύνην righteousnessτὴν theἐκ out ofνόμου lawἀλλὰ butτὴν theδιὰ throughπίστεως faithΧριστοῦ, of Christ,τὴν theἐκ out ofθεοῦ Godδικαιοσύνην righteousnessἐπὶ uponτῇ theπίστει, faith, 10  τοῦ of theγνῶναι to knowαὐτὸν himκαὶ andτὴν theδύναμιν powerτῆς of theἀναστάσεως resurrectionαὐτοῦ of himκαὶ andκοινωνίαν sharingπαθημάτων of sufferingsαὐτοῦ, of him,συμμορφιζόμενος being conformedτῷ to theθανάτῳ deathαὐτοῦ, of him, 11  εἴ ifπως somehowκαταντήσω I might attain downεἰς intoτὴν theἐξανάστασιν out-resurrectionτὴν theἐκ out ofνεκρῶν. dead (ones). 12  οὐχ Notὅτι thatἤδη alreadyἔλαβον I receivedἢ orἤδη alreadyτετελείωμαι, I have been perfected,διώκω I am pursuingδὲ butεἰ ifκαὶ alsoκαταλάβω, I might receive down,ἐφ’ uponᾧ whichκαὶ alsoκατελήμφθην I was received downὑπὸ byΧριστοῦ ChristἸησοῦ. Jesus. 13  ἀδελφοί, Brothers,ἐγὼ Iἐμαυτὸν myselfοὔπω not yetλογίζομαι I am reckoningκατειληφέναι· to have received down;ἓν one (thing)δέ, but,τὰ the (things)μὲν indeedὀπίσω behindἐπιλανθανόμενος forgettingτοῖς to the (things)δὲ butἔμπροσθεν in frontἐπεκτεινόμενος, stretching myself out upon, 14  κατὰ according toσκοπὸν goalδιώκω I am pursuingεἰς intoτὸ theβραβεῖον prizeτῆς of theἄνω upwardκλήσεως callingτοῦ of theθεοῦ Godἐν inΧριστῷ ChristἸησοῦ. Jesus. 15  Ὅσοι As many asοὖν thereforeτέλειοι, perfect (ones),τοῦτο thisφρονῶμεν· let us be minding;καὶ andεἴ ifτι anythingἑτέρως differentlyφρονεῖτε, YOU are minding,καὶ alsoτοῦτο this (thing)ὁ theθεὸς Godὑμῖν to YOUἀποκαλύψει· will reveal; 16  πλὴν besidesεἰς intoὃ whichἐφθάσαμεν, we came ahead,τῷ to theαὐτῷ veryστοιχεῖν. to be walking in line. 17  Συνμιμηταί Joint imitatorsμου of meγίνεσθε, be YOU becoming,ἀδελφοί, brothers,καὶ andσκοπεῖτε be YOU looking atτοὺς the (ones)οὕτω thusπεριπατοῦντας walkingκαθὼς according asἔχετε YOU are havingτύπον typeἡμᾶς· us; 18  πολλοὶ manyγὰρ forπεριπατοῦσιν they are walkingοὓς whomπολλάκις many timesἔλεγον I was sayingὑμῖν, to YOU,νῦν nowδὲ butκαὶ alsoκλαίων weepingλέγω, I am saying,τοὺς theἐχθροὺς enemiesτοῦ of theσταυροῦ stakeτοῦ of theχριστοῦ, Christ, 19  ὧν of which onesτὸ theτέλος endἀπώλεια, destruction,ὧν of which onesὁ theθεὸς godἡ theκοιλία cavityκαὶ andἡ theδόξα gloryἐν inτῇ theαἰσχύνῃ shameαὐτῶν, of them,οἱ the (ones)τὰ theἐπίγεια earthly (things)φρονοῦντες. minding. 20  ἡμῶν Of usγὰρ forτὸ theπολίτευμα citizenshipἐν inοὐρανοῖς heavensὑπάρχει, is existing,ἐξ out ofοὗ whereκαὶ alsoσωτῆρα saviorἀπεκδεχόμεθα we are eagerly awaitingκύριον LordἸησοῦν JesusΧριστόν, Christ, 21  ὃς whoμετασχηματίσει will refashionτὸ theσῶμα bodyτῆς of theταπεινώσεως lowlinessἡμῶν of usσύμμορφον conformedτῷ to theσώματι bodyτῆς of theδόξης gloryαὐτοῦ of himκατὰ according toτὴν theἐνέργειαν operation withinτοῦ of theδύνασθαι to be ableαὐτὸν himκαὶ alsoὑποτάξαι to subjectαὑτῷ to himselfτὰ theπάντα. all (things).
