Revelation 9:1-21

9  Καὶ Andὁ theπέμπτος fifthἄγγελος angelἐσάλπισεν· trumpeted;καὶ andεἶδον I sawἀστέρα starἐκ out ofτοῦ theοὐρανοῦ heavenπεπτωκότα having fallenεἰς intoτὴν theγῆν, earth,καὶ andἐδόθη was givenαὐτῷ to himἡ theκλεὶς keyτοῦ of theφρέατος pitτῆς of theἀβύσσου· abyss; 2  καὶ andἤνοιξεν he opened upτὸ theφρέαρ pitτῆς of theἀβύσσου, abyss,καὶ andἀνέβη stepped upκαπνὸς smokeἐκ out ofτοῦ theφρέατος pitὡς asκαπνὸς smokeκαμίνου of furnaceμεγάλης, great,καὶ andἐσκοτώθη was darkenedὁ theἥλιος sunκαὶ andὁ theἀὴρ airἐκ out ofτοῦ theκαπνοῦ smokeτοῦ of theφρέατος. pit. 3  καὶ Andἐκ out ofτοῦ theκαπνοῦ smokeἐξῆλθον came outἀκρίδες locustsεἰς intoτὴν theγῆν, earth,καὶ andἐδόθη was givenαὐταῖς to themἐξουσία authorityὡς asἔχουσιν are havingἐξουσίαν authorityοἱ theσκορπίοι scorpionsτῆς of theγῆς. earth. 4  καὶ Andἐρρέθη it was toldαὐταῖς to themἵνα in order thatμὴ notἀδικήσουσιν they will treat unrighteouslyτὸν theχόρτον vegetationτῆς of theγῆς earthοὐδὲ norπᾶν everyχλωρὸν greenish-yellow [thing]οὐδὲ norπᾶν everyδένδρον, tree,εἰ ifμὴ notτοὺς theἀνθρώπους menοἵτινες whoeverοὐκ notἔχουσι are havingτὴν theσφραγῖδα sealτοῦ of theθεοῦ Godἐπὶ uponτῶν theμετώπων. foreheads. 5  καὶ Andἐδόθη it was givenαὐταῖς to themἵνα in order thatμὴ notἀποκτείνωσιν they should killαὐτούς, them,ἀλλ’ butἵνα in order thatβασανισθήσονται they will be tormentedμῆνας monthsπέντε· five;καὶ andὁ theβασανισμὸς tormentαὐτῶν of themὡς asβασανισμὸς tormentσκορπίου, of scorpion,ὅταν wheneverπαίσῃ it should hitἄνθρωπον. man. 6  καὶ Andἐν inταῖς theἡμέραις daysἐκείναις thoseζητήσουσιν will seekοἱ theἄνθρωποι menτὸν theθάνατον deathκαὶ andοὐ notμὴ notεὑρήσουσιν they will findαὐτόν, it,καὶ andἐπιθυμήσουσιν they will desireἀποθανεῖν to dieκαὶ andφεύγει is fleeingὁ theθάνατος deathἀπ’ fromαὐτῶν. them. 7  καὶ Andτὰ theὁμοιώματα likenessesτῶν of theἀκρίδων locustsὅμοια likeἵπποις to horsesἡτοιμασμένοις having been preparedεἰς intoπόλεμον, war,καὶ andἐπὶ uponτὰς theκεφαλὰς headsαὐτῶν of themὡς asστέφανοι crownsὅμοιοι likeχρυσῷ, to gold,καὶ andτὰ theπρόσωπα facesαὐτῶν of themὡς asπρόσωπα facesἀνθρώπων, of men, 8  καὶ andεἶχαν they were havingτρίχας hairsὡς asτρίχας hairsγυναικῶν, of women,καὶ andοἱ theὀδόντες teethαὐτῶν of themὡς asλεόντων of lionsἦσαν, they were, 9  καὶ andεἶχαν they were havingθώρακας breastplatesὡς asθώρακας breastplatesσιδηροῦς, made of iron,καὶ andἡ theφωνὴ soundτῶν of theπτερύγων wingsαὐτῶν of themὡς asφωνὴ soundἁρμάτων of chariotsἵππων of horsesπολλῶν manyτρεχόντων runningεἰς intoπόλεμον· war; 10  καὶ andἔχουσιν they are havingοὐρὰς tailsὁμοίας likeσκορπίοις to scorpionsκαὶ andκέντρα, stings,καὶ andἐν inταῖς theοὐραῖς tailsαὐτῶν of themἡ theἐξουσία authorityαὐτῶν of themἀδικῆσαι to treat unrighteouslyτοὺς theἀνθρώπους menμῆνας monthsπέντε. five. 11  ἔχουσιν They are havingἐπ’ uponαὐτῶν themβασιλέα kingτὸν theἄγγελον angelτῆς of theἀβύσσου· abyss;ὄνομα nameαὐτῷ to him᾿Εβραϊστὶ in Hebrew᾿Αβαδδών Abaddonκαὶ andἐν inτῇ theἙλληνικῇ Greek [tongue]ὄνομα nameἔχει he is having᾿Απολλύων. Apollyon. 12  Ἡ TheΟὐαὶ Woeἡ theμία oneἀπῆλθεν· went off;ἰδοὺ look!ἔρχεται is comingἔτι yetδύο twoΟὐαὶ woesμετὰ afterταῦτα. these (things). 13  Καὶ Andὁ theἕκτος sixthἄγγελος angelἐσάλπισεν· trumpeted;καὶ andἤκουσα I heardφωνὴν voiceμίαν oneἐκ out ofτῶν theκεράτων hornsτοῦ of theθυσιαστηρίου altarτοῦ theχρυσοῦ goldenτοῦ the (one)ἐνώπιον in sightτοῦ of theθεοῦ, God, 14  λέγοντα (him) sayingτῷ to theἕκτῳ sixthἀγγέλῳ, angel,ὁ the (one)ἔχων havingτὴν theσάλπιγγα, trumpet,Λῦσον Looseτοὺς theτέσσαρας fourἀγγέλους angelsτοὺς the (ones)δεδεμένους having been boundἐπὶ uponτῷ theποταμῷ riverτῷ theμεγάλῳ greatΕὐφράτῃ. Euphrates. 15  καὶ Andἐλύθησαν were loosedοἱ theτέσσαρες fourἄγγελοι angelsοἱ the (ones)ἡτοιμασμένοι having been preparedεἰς intoτὴν theὥραν hourκαὶ andἡμέραν dayκαὶ andμῆνα monthκαὶ andἐνιαυτόν, year,ἵνα in order thatἀποκτείνωσιν they may killτὸ theτρίτον third [part]τῶν of theἀνθρώπων. men. 16  καὶ Andὁ theἀριθμὸς numberτῶν of theστρατευμάτων armiesτοῦ of theἱππικοῦ horse (men)δὶς twiceμυριάδες myriadsμυριάδων· of myriads;ἤκουσα I heardτὸν theἀριθμὸν numberαὐτῶν. of them. 17  καὶ Andοὕτως thusεἶδον I sawτοὺς theἵππους horsesἐν inτῇ theὁράσει visionκαὶ andτοὺς the (ones)καθημένους sittingἐπ’ uponαὐτῶν, them,ἔχοντας (them) havingθώρακας breastplatesπυρίνους fieryκαὶ andὑακινθίνους hyacinthineκαὶ andθειώδεις· sulphurlike;καὶ andαἱ theκεφαλαὶ headsτῶν of theἵππων horsesὡς asκεφαλαὶ headsλεόντων, of lions,καὶ andἐκ out ofτῶν theστομάτων mouthsαὐτῶν of themἐκπορεύεται is going outπῦρ fireκαὶ andκαπνὸς smokeκαὶ andθεῖον. sulphur. 18  ἀπὸ Fromτῶν theτριῶν threeπληγῶν plaguesτούτων theseἀπεκτάνθησαν were killedτὸ theτρίτον third [part]τῶν of theἀνθρώπων, men,ἐκ out ofτοῦ theπυρὸς fireκαὶ andτοῦ of theκαπνοῦ smokeκαὶ andτοῦ of theθείου sulphurτοῦ of the (one)ἐκπορευομένου going outἐκ out ofτῶν theστομάτων mouthsαὐτῶν. of them. 19  ἡ Theγὰρ forἐξουσία authorityτῶν of theἵππων horsesἐν inτῷ theστόματι mouthαὐτῶν of themἐστὶν isκαὶ andἐν inταῖς theοὐραῖς tailsαὐτῶν· of them;αἱ theγὰρ forοὐραὶ tailsαὐτῶν of themὅμοιαι (ones) likeὄφεσιν, to serpents,ἔχουσαι (ones) havingκεφαλάς, heads,καὶ andἐν inαὐταῖς themἀδικοῦσιν. they are treating unrighteously. 20  καὶ Andοἱ theλοιποὶ leftover (ones)τῶν of theἀνθρώπων, men,οἳ whoοὐκ notἀπεκτάνθησαν were killedἐν inταῖς theπληγαῖς plaguesταύταις, these,οὐ notμετενόησαν they repentedἐκ out ofτῶν theἔργων worksτῶν of theχειρῶν handsαὐτῶν, of them,ἵνα in order thatμὴ notπροσκυνήσουσιν they will worshipτὰ theδαιμόνια demonsκαὶ andτὰ theεἴδωλα idolsτὰ the (ones)χρυσᾶ goldenκαὶ andτὰ the (ones)ἀργυρᾶ made of silverκαὶ andτὰ the (ones)χαλκᾶ made of copperκαὶ andτὰ the (ones)λίθινα made of stoneκαὶ andτὰ the (ones)ξύλινα, wooden,ἃ whichοὔτε neitherβλέπειν to be lookingδύνανται they are ableοὔτε norἀκούειν to be hearingοὔτε norπεριπατεῖν, to be walking about, 21  καὶ andοὐ notμετενόησαν they repentedἐκ out ofτῶν theφόνων murdersαὐτῶν of themοὔτε norἐκ out ofτῶν theφαρμάκων drugsαὐτῶν of themοὔτε norἐκ out ofτῆς theπορνείας fornicationαὐτῶν of themοὔτε norἐκ out ofτῶν theκλεμμάτων theftsαὐτῶν. of them.
