Romans 7:1-25

I am doing. 16  εἰ Ifδὲ butwhichοὐ notθέλω I am willingτοῦτο thisποιῶ, I am doing,σύνφημι I am saying withτῷ to theνόμῳ Lawὅτι thatκαλός. fine. 17  Νυνὶ Nowδὲ butοὐκέτι not yetἐγὼ Iκατεργάζομαι am working downαὐτὸ itἀλλὰ buttheἐνοικοῦσα indwellingἐν inἐμοὶ meἁμαρτία. sin. 18  οἶδα I have knownγὰρ forὅτι thatοὐκ notοἰκεῖ is dwellingἐν inἐμοί, me,τοῦτ’ thisἔστιν isἐν inτῇ theσαρκί fleshμου, of me,ἀγαθόν· good (thing);τὸ theγὰρ forθέλειν to be willingπαράκειταί is lying alongsideμοι, to me,τὸ theδὲ butκατεργάζεσθαι to be working downτὸ the (thing)καλὸν fineοὔ· not; 19  οὐ notγὰρ forwhich (thing)θέλω I am willingποιῶ I am doingἀγαθόν, good,ἀλλὰ butwhich (thing)οὐ notθέλω I am willingκακὸν badτοῦτο thisπράσσω. I am performing. 20  εἰ Ifδὲ butwhich (thing)οὐ notθέλω I am willingτοῦτο thisποιῶ, I am doing,οὐκέτι not yetἐγὼ Iκατεργάζομαι am working downαὐτὸ itἀλλὰ buttheοἰκοῦσα dwellingἐν inἐμοὶ meἁμαρτία. sin. 21  Εὑρίσκω I am findingἄρα reallyτὸν theνόμον lawτῷ to the (one)θέλοντι willingἐμοὶ to meποιεῖν to be doingτὸ theκαλὸν fine (thing)ὅτι thatἐμοὶ to meτὸ theκακὸν bad (thing)παράκειται· is lying alongside; 22  συνήδομαι I delight withγὰρ forτῷ to theνόμῳ lawτοῦ of theθεοῦ Godκατὰ according toτὸν theἔσω insideἄνθρωπον, man, 23  βλέπω I am looking atδὲ butἕτερον differentνόμον lawἐν inτοῖς theμέλεσίν membersμου of meἀντιστρατευόμενον warring againstτῷ to theνόμῳ lawτοῦ of theνοός mindμου of meκαὶ andαἰχμαλωτίζοντά taking captiveμε meἐν inτῷ theνόμῳ lawτῆς of theἁμαρτίας sinτῷ to the (one)ὄντι beingἐν inτοῖς theμέλεσίν membersμου. of me. 24  ταλαίπωρος Callus-bearingἐγὼ Iἄνθρωπος· man;τίς whoμε meῥύσεται will draw for selfἐκ out ofτοῦ theσώματος bodyτοῦ of theθανάτου deathτούτου; this? 25  χάρις Thanksδὲ butτῷ to theθεῷ Godδιὰ throughἸησοῦ JesusΧριστοῦ Christτοῦ theκυρίου Lordἡμῶν. of us.ἄρα Reallyοὖν thereforeαὐτὸς veryἐγὼ Iτῷ to theμὲν indeedνοΐ mindδουλεύω I am slavingνόμῳ to lawθεοῦ, of God,τῇ to theδὲ butσαρκὶ fleshνόμῳ to lawἁμαρτίας. of sin.
