Ahiezer
(A·hi·eʹzer) [My Brother Is a Helper].
1. Son of Ammishaddai and chieftain of the tribe of Dan, selected a year after the Exodus. (Nu 1:1, 4, 12) In this capacity he assisted Moses with the census, commanded the rearguard three-tribe division when on the march, and presented his offering on the tenth day of the inauguration of the altar at the tabernacle.—Nu 2:25; 7:66, 71; 10:25.
2. A son of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and head of the mighty Benjamites that came to David’s support at Ziklag.—1Ch 12:1-3.
