The son of Zabad of the family of Jerahmeel and the father of Obed. Ephlal was a descendant of Perez, a son of Judah by Tamar. His great-great-grandfather was Jarha, an Egyptian servant in Sheshan’s household. Jarha was given Sheshan’s daughter as wife.​—1Ch 2:4, 5, 9, 25, 34-37.
