Meshezabel
(Me·shezʹa·bel).
1. A man of Judah of the family of Zerah and whose “son” Pethahiah “was at the side of the king for every matter of the people.”—Ne 11:24.
2. Father of Berechiah and ancestor of the Meshullam who did repair work on the wall of Jerusalem in Nehemiah’s day.—Ne 3:4.
3. One of “the heads of the people,” or his descendant, who attested by seal the “trustworthy arrangement” of Nehemiah’s time.—Ne 9:38; 10:1, 14, 21.
