Salecah

A city at the eastern limit of Bashan, and part of the domain of Og. Taken by Israel under Moses, Salecah came to be inhabited by Gadites. (De 3:8, 10; Jos 12:4, 5; 13:8, 11; 1Ch 5:11) It is usually identified with Salkhad, situated on a southern extension of Jebel ed Druz (Jebel Hauran), some 100 km (60 mi) ESE of the southern end of the Sea of Galilee.
