Shemiramoth
(She·mirʹa·moth).
1. A Levite musician who accompanied the ark of the covenant from Obed-edom’s house to Jerusalem and was afterward stationed to play before its tent.—1Ch 15:17, 18, 20, 25; 16:1, 4, 5.
2. One of the Levites whom Jehoshaphat sent out to teach the Law to the people in 934 B.C.E.—2Ch 17:7-9.
