c. 906 B.C.E.: Ahaziah (grandson of Ahab and Jezebel) becomes king

c. 905 B.C.E.: Athaliah murders all the royal offspring and usurps the throne. Only her grandson Jehoash is saved and kept hidden from her by High Priest Jehoiada.​—2Ki 11:1-3
