UPDATE—THREE CONVICTED | “Giving Up Is Not an Option”

On July 30, 2024, the Nikolaevsk-on-Amur City Court of the Khabarovsk Territory convicted Brother Igor Kletkin, Brother Nikolay Kononenko, and Sister Nadezhda Korobochko. Igor and Nikolay each received a suspended prison sentence of six years. Nadezhda received a suspended prison sentence of five years. They are not required to go to prison at this time.

Read the Bible but found it difficult to understand on her own. Began to study with Jehovah’s Witnesses. Was happy to get to know God and his qualities. Baptized in 1996

What have you learned about Jehovah by going through this difficult experience?

This experience has taught me that Jehovah not only sees what is happening but also knows how it makes me feel. He then provides me with exactly the kind of assistance I need. Whenever I struggle to focus and keep my thoughts in order, Jehovah gives me peace. And he helps me recall Bible verses that perfectly apply at that particular moment. The greater the trial, the more I feel Jehovah’s spirit and the stronger my trust in him becomes.

We thank Jehovah for the loving care and support he provides to all who trust in him and who declare: “You are my God.”—Psalm 31:14.
