Tornado in Oklahoma

A 1.3-mile-wide tornado, with wind speeds of more than 200 miles per hour, plowed a devastating path through Moore, Oklahoma, south of Oklahoma City, on May 20, 2013. Media reports indicate that the death toll has reached 24, including 10 children. There were no reported deaths among Jehovah’s Witnesses living in the affected area. However, one Witness is being treated for injuries. Disaster relief committees made up of volunteer Witnesses are arranging for the immediate needs of victims, providing food, water, and spiritual comfort.
