Watchtower Library requires a desktop or laptop computer running Microsoft Windows 7 or later. If your computer has an ARM processor, Windows 11 is required.

If you repeatedly get a message indicating that Watchtower Library failed to update, follow these steps to update the program manually:

1. Go to the Update Watchtower Library page on jw.org.

2. Download the Watchtower Library Update Package for your language.

3. Follow the instructions under the heading “Apply an Update Package.”

If you are still unable to resolve the problem, follow these steps:

1. In File Explorer, open the folder “C:\ProgramData\Watchtower\WTLibrary.”

2. Delete the following two files:

   • a. ca-bundle.zip

   • b. cert.pem
