  • raja se ester ki binti (3-6)

  • raja ka doosra farman (7-14)

  • yahoodiyon ko mili raahat aur khushi (15-17)

8  us din raja ahash-verosh ne yahoodiyon ke dushman haaman+ ka sabkuch raani ester ko de diya.+ aur mordakai ko raja ke saamne laaya gaya kyonki ester ne raja ko bataya tha ki mordakai se uska kya rishta hai.+  raja ne mordakai ko apni muharvali angoothi di,+ jo usne haaman se vaapas le li thi. aur ester ne mordakai ko haaman ki saari cheezon par adhikar diya.+  ester ek baar fir raja ke paas gayi aur uske pairon par girkar rone lagi. woh raja ke aage gidgidane lagi ki raja, agagi haaman ki saazish ko naakam kar de, jo yahoodiyon ki tabahi ke liye rachi gayi thi.+  raja ne ester ki taraf sone ka raajdand badhaya,+ tab woh uthkar khadi ho gayi.  usne raja se kaha, “agar raja mujhse khush hai aur uski meharbani mujh par hai to woh meri binti sune. agar raja ko yah theek lage to woh ek hukm nikaalvaye aur agagi+ hammadata ke bete haaman ke khat ko radd karvaye,+ jismein us makkar ne sabhi zilon ke yahoodiyon ko maarne ka aadesh diya tha.  hey raja, jab mere apne logon par museebat aanevali hai, to main kaise chup baith sakti hoon? bhala main apni aankhon ke saamne apne rishtedaron ko marte kaise dekh sakti hoon?”  yah sunkar raja ahash-verosh ne raani ester aur yahoodi mordakai se kaha, “dekho! mainne haaman ko yahoodiyon ka safaya karne* ki saazish ke liye kaath par latka diya+ aur uska sabkuch ester ko de diya hai.+  ab tumhein yahoodiyon ki hifazat ke liye jo sahi lage, vahi karo. mere naam se ek farman nikaalo aur us par meri angoothi se muhar lagao. kyonki jo farman raja ke naam se jaari kiya jaata hai aur jis par raja ki angoothi ki muhar hoti hai, use kisi bhi haal mein radd nahin kiya jaa sakta.”+  isliye sivan* naam ke teesre maheene ke 23vein din, raja ke shaastriyon* ko bulaya gaya. aur mordakai ne yahoodiyon, soobedaron,+ raajyapalon aur hindustan se lekar ithiyopiya tak, 127 zilon ke haakimon+ ke liye jo-jo hukm diya, use in shaastriyon ne likh liya. yah farman sabhi zilon ke logon ko unki bhasha aur lipi mein, yahaan tak ki yahoodiyon ko bhi unki bhasha aur lipi mein likha gaya. 10  mordakai ne yah farman raja ahash-verosh ke naam se likha aur us par raja ki angoothi se muhar lagayi.+ fir usne dooton ko yah farman dekar bheja. woh jagah-jagah ise pahunchne ke liye sarpat daudnevale ghodon par nikaal pade, jo shaahi kaam ke liye rakhe gaye the. 11  farman mein raja ne alag-alag shehron mein rehnevale yahoodiyon ko hukm diya ki woh apni jaan bachane ke liye ekjut ho jaayen. aur agar kisi raashtra ya zile ke log dal banakar un par hamla karein, to woh unko aur unke beevi-bachchon ko maar daalein aur unka sabkuch loot lein.+ 12  yah hukm raja ahash-verosh ke sabhi zilon mein usi din laagoo kiya jaana tha yaani adaar* naam ke 12vein maheene ki 13vin taareekh ko.+ 13  farman mein likhi baaton ko kaanoon samajhkar sabhi zilon mein laagoo karna tha aur sab logon ko padhkar sunana tha taaki us din yahoodi apne dushmanon se badla lene ke liye taiyar ho jaayen.+ 14  raja ka hukm milte hi uske doot turant shaahi ghodon par nikaal pade aur is kaanoon ko jagah-jagah pahunchne lage. shooshan*+ naam ke kile* mein bhi yahi kaanoon jaari kiya gaya. 15  ab mordakai raja ke paas se chala gaya. uske sir par sone ka shaandar taaj tha aur woh shaahi poshak pehne tha, jo neele dhaage aur safed dhaage se bani thi aur uske oopar woh bainjni oon ka labada daale huye tha.+ shooshan* shehar mein khushiyon ki lahar daud uthi. 16  yahoodiyon ko raahat* mili, woh magan hokar jashna manane lage aur unka aadar-samman kiya gaya. 17  har zile mein aur har shehar mein, jahaan-jahaan raja ka kaanoon pahuncha aur uska farman padha gaya, vahaan yahoodi khushi se jhoom uthe. unhonne daavtein rakhin aur woh jashna manane lage. aas-paas ke deshon ke logon mein yahoodiyon ka khauf sama gaya aur unmein se kai log yahoodi ban gaye.+
