7  yah melkeesedek jo shaalem ka raja aur param-pradhan parmeshvar ka yaajak tha, abraham se us vakt mila jab woh raajaon ko maarkar laut raha tha aur usne abraham ko aasheervad diya.+  aur abraham ne use sab cheezon ka dasvaan hissa diya. yah melkeesedek apne naam ke matlab ke mutabik pehale to “neki ka raja” hai. aur woh shaalem ka raja bhi hai yaani “shaanti ka raja.”  uska na to koi pita, na koi maa, na hi koi vanshavli hai. uske dinon ki na to koi shurooat hai, na hi uske jeevan ka ant balki use parmeshvar ke bete jaisa thehraya gaya hai. isliye woh sada ke liye ek yaajak bana rehta hai.+  zara socho ki yah aadmi kitna mahan tha jise parivar ke mukhiya* abraham ne loot ki sabse badhiya cheezon ka dasvaan hissa diya.+  sach hai ki kaanoon ke mutabik levi ke beton+ mein se jinhein yaajakpad milta hai, unhein aagya di gayi hai ki woh logon se yaani apne bhaaiyon se dasvaan hissa ikattha karein,+ iske baavjood ki unke bhaai abraham ke hi vanshaj hain.  magar melkeesedek ne, jo levi ke khaandan ka nahin tha, abraham se dasvaan hissa liya jisse vaade kiye gaye the aur use aasheervad diya.+  ab is baat ko koi nakar nahin sakta ki chhota, bade se aasheervad paata hai.  pehale maamle mein yaani leviyon ke maamle mein, dasvaan hissa paanevale aise insan hain jo mar jaate hain. magar is doosre ke maamle mein yah gavahi di gayi hai ki woh zinda hai.+  aur yah kaha jaa sakta hai ki levi ne bhi, jo logon se dasvaan hissa paata hai, abraham ke zariye khud us aadmi ko dasvaan hissa diya, 10  kyonki jab melkeesedek abraham se mila tha tab levi apne purkhe abraham ke shareer mein hi tha.*+ 11  to fir agar leviyon ke yaajakpad ke zariye vaakai paripoornta haasil ki jaati,+ (jo kaanoon logon ko diya gaya tha uska ek pehaloo yaajakpad tha) to kya zaroorat thi ki ek aur yaajak thehraya jaaye jiske baare mein kaha gaya hai ki woh melkeesedek jaisa yaajak ho+ na ki haaroon jaisa? 12  isliye jab yaajakpad badla jaa raha hai to kaanoon ko bhi badalna zaroori ho jaata hai.+ 13  kyonki jis aadmi ke baare mein ye baatein kahi gayi hain woh doosre gotra ka hai, jiska koi bhi aadmi kabhi-bhi vedi par seva ke liye nahin chuna gaya tha.+ 14  ab yah to bilkul saaf hai ki hamara prabhu yahooda gotra se nikala tha+ jabki moosa ne kabhi nahin kaha tha ki us gotra mein se yaajak aayenge. 15  yah baat aur bhi saaf ho gayi hai kyonki ab hamare liye ek aur yaajak+ aa chuka hai jo melkeesedek jaisa yaajak hai.+ 16  woh isliye yaajak nahin bana ki woh us gotra se hai jiske vanshaj kaanoon ki maang ke mutabik yaajak ban sakte the, balki woh us shakti se yaajak bana jo use avinashi jeevan deti hai.+ 17  kyonki uske baare mein yah gavahi di gayi thi, “tu melkeesedek jaisa yaajak hai aur tu hamesha-hamesha ke liye yaajak rahega.”+ 18  to fir pichhla kaanoon isliye radd kar diya gaya kyonki woh kamzor tha aur faayde ka nahin tha.+ 19  us kaanoon ne kuch bhi paripoorna nahin kiya+ magar jab usse bhi behtar aasha+ di gayi to usse paripoorna hona mumkin hua aur uske zariye hum parmeshvar ke kareeb aa rahe hain.+ 20  aur yah aasha shapath ke saath di gayi thi. 21  (kyonki aise aadmi bhi hain jo bina shapath ke yaajak bane hain, magar yah yaajak aisa hai jise parmeshvar ne shapath ke saath yaajak thehraya aur uske baare mein kaha, “yahova* ne shapath khaayi hai aur jo usne socha hai use nahin badlega,* ‘tu hamesha-hamesha ke liye yaajak rahega.’”)+ 22  usi ke mutabik yeeshu ek behtar karar ka zamin* thehra hai.+ 23  iske alava, pehale ek-ke-baad-ek kaiyon ko yaajak banna hota tha+ kyonki maut unhein yaajak ke pad par nahin rehne deti thi. 24  magar yah yaajak hamesha tak zinda rehta hai+ isliye uska yaajakpad bhi hamesha tak bana rehta hai aur uski jagah koi aur nahin leta. 25  isliye jo uske zariye parmeshvar ke paas aate hain, woh unka poori tarah uddhaar karne ke kaabil hai. kyonki woh unki khaatir parmeshvar se binti karne ke liye hamesha zinda rehta hai.+ 26  hamare liye aise hi mahayajak ki zaroorat hai jo vafadar, nirdosh aur bedag ho,+ paapiyon jaisa na ho aur jise aakash se bhi uncha kiya gaya ho.+ 27  use un mahayajakon ki tarah har din balidan chadhane ki zaroorat nahin,+ jo pehale apne paapon ke liye aur fir logon ke paapon ke liye balidan chadhate hain.+ kyonki usne ek hi baar aur hamesha-hamesha ke liye khud ka balidan chadha diya.+ 28  kaanoon ke mutabik aise aadmiyon ko mahayajak thehraya jaata hai jinmein kamzoriyaan hoti hain.+ magar kaanoon ke baad, jo vaada shapath khaakaar kiya gaya tha+ uske mutabik ek bete ko mahayajak thehraya gaya hai jise hamesha-hamesha ke liye paripoorna kiya gaya hai.+
