13  buddhiman beta apne pita ki shiksha kabool karta hai,+lekin hansi-thattha karnevala fatkaar* par kaan nahin lagata.+   insan apne munh ki baaton ki vajah se achha khaata hai,+lekin dhokhebaz ka ji hinsa ke liye utavla rehta hai.   jo zaban par kaaboo rakhta hai woh apni jaan bachata hai,+magar jo apna munh band nahin rakhta woh khud ko barbad karta hai.+   aalsi ke paas kuch nahin hota, woh sirf laalsa karta hai,+lekin mehantee poori tarah tript hota hai.+   nek insan jhooth se nafrat karta hai,+lekin dusht apni harkaton se sharminda aur beizzat hota hai.   neki, seedhi chaal chalnevalon ki hifazat karti hai,+lekin dushtata, paapiyon ko barbad kar deti hai.   koi apne ko ameer batata hai jabki uske paas kuch nahin,+koi apne ko gareeb batata hai jabki uske paas bahot daulat hai.   rais apni jaan ki firauti mein apni daulat deta hai,+magar gareeb ko aisa koi dar nahin satata.*+   nek jan ki raushni tez chamakti hai,*+lekin dushton ka deepak bujh jaayega.+ 10  insan ki gustakhi se jhagde paida hote hain,+lekin buddhiman vahi hai jo salah-mashvira karta hai.+ 11  raaton-raat kamayi gayi daulat ghatti jaayegi,+lekin jo thoda-thoda karke jama karta hai, uski daulat badhti jaayegi. 12  jab ummeed* poori hone mein der hoti hai, to man udas ho jaata hai,+magar jab man ki aarzoo poori hoti hai, to maano yah jeevan ka ped hai.+ 13  jo hidayat* ko tuchh samajhta hai, use saza bhugatnee hogi,+lekin jo aagya ka aadar karta hai use inam milega.+ 14  buddhiman ki sikhayi baatein jeevan ka sota hai,+ye maut ke fande mein fansne se bachati hain. 15  androoni samajh rakhnevala doosron ki manzoori paata hai,lekin kapti ki raah dukhon se bhari hoti hai. 16  hoshiyar apne kaamon se gyaan ka saboot deta hai,+lekin moorkh apni moorkhta dikha deta hai.+ 17  dusht doot khud par museebat laata hai,+magar vishvasyogya doot faayda pahunchata hai.+ 18  shiksha thukranevala kangal ho jaata hai aur apman sehta hai,magar jo daant* kabool karta hai woh aadar paata hai.+ 19  aarzoo poori hone par ji khush ho jaata hai,+lekin moorkh ko burai chhodna raas nahin aata.+ 20  buddhimanon ke saath rehnevala buddhiman banega,+lekin moorkhon ke saath mel-jol rakhnevala barbad ho jaayega.+ 21  aafat paapiyon ka peechha karti hai,+magar khushhali nek jan ka inam banti hai.+ 22  bhala insan apne naati-poton ke liye virasat chhod jaata hai,magar paapi ki daulat nek jan ke liye rakhi jaayegi.+ 23  gareeb ke jote gaye khet mein bharpoor fasal paida hoti hai,lekin anyay use* barbad kar deta hai. 24  jo apne bete par chhadi* nahin chalata, woh usse nafrat karta hai,+magar jo usse pyar karta hai, woh use sudhaarne se peechhe nahin hatta.*+ 25  nek jan ji-bharkar khaata hai,+magar dusht bhookhe pet reh jaata hai.+
