The Thing Dem That Luke Write 4:1-44
4 Then Jesus left from the Jordan River, and the holy spirit wor on him. The spirit direct him to go in the wilderness
2 for 40 days. He not eat anything at that time. So when the 40 days finish, he wor hungry and the Devil tempt him.
3 Then the Devil tell him say: “If you God son, tell this rock to change to food.”*
4 But Jesus answer him and say: “It in the Scriptures, ‘Man must not only live on food.’”*
5 So the Devil carry him up to one mountain and in short time he show him all the kingdom dem that in the world.
6 Then the Devil tell him say: “I will make you to control all this kingdom dem and give you all the good-good thing dem that inside it, because this thing dem for me now, and I can give it to anybody I want give it to.
7 So, if you just worship me only one time, everything will be for you.”
8 Then Jesus tell him say: “It in the Scriptures, ‘That Jehovah* your God you must worship, and that only him you must serve.’”
9 Then he carry him to Jerusalem and made him to stand on top of the temple fence,* and tell him say: “If you God son, throw yourself down from here,
10 because it in the Scriptures, ‘He will send his angel dem to protect you,’
11 and they will carry you in their hands so that you can’t knock your foot on any rock.’”
12 Jesus answer him and say: “It in the Scriptures, ‘You must not test Jehovah* your God.’”
13 So after the Devil finish tempting him, he left him until he can find another good time to tempt him again.
14 Jesus went back to Gal′i·lee and God spirit wor on him. And the good-good thing dem the people wor saying about him spread to all the area dem around there.
15 Also, he started teaching in their synagogues, and everybody wor praising him.
16 Then he went to Naz′a·reth, the place where he grow up. He enter the synagogue and stand up to read, just what he always use to do on the Sabbath day.
17 So they give him the book* that the prophet Isaiah write, and he open it and find the place where they write:
18 “Jehovah* spirit on me because he na choose me to preach the good news to the poor people. He send me to tell the slave dem that they will be free and to tell the blind people that they will see again, and to make people who suffering to not suffer again.
19 And to preach about the time Jehovah* will bless his people.”
20 Then he close the book and give it back to the attendant, and he sit down. And everybody in the synagogue wor looking straight at him.
21 Then he tell them say: “Today this scripture that yor just hear na happen.”
22 And all of them started saying good-good thing dem about him. And they wor surprise at the good-good thing dem he wor saying, and they say: “Ehn that one of Joseph son here?”
23 Then he tell them say: “I know yor will use this saying on me, ‘Doctor, cure yourself. The thing dem we hear say you na do in Ca·per′na·um, you must also do it here in your own home town.’”
24 So he tell them say: “To tell yor the truth, they can’t accept any prophet in his own home town.
25 But I tell yor the truth, they wor having plenty widows in Israel during E·li′jah time, when rain not fall for three years six months and food business wor hard all over in Isreal.
26 But God not send E·li′jah to any of those women but only to the widow in Zar′e·phath, that in the land they call Si′don.
27 Also plenty people wor having leprosy in Isreal during the prophet E·li′sha time, but he not heal any of them, only Na′a·man who wor from Syria.”
28 When the people in the synagogue hear this thing dem, all of them got vex bad way,
29 and they got up and carry him outside the city quick-quick, and they carry him to the edge of the mountain that they build their city on so they can throw him down.
30 But he pass right among them and continue going.
31 Then he went to one city in Gal′i·lee they call Ca·per′na·um, and he wor teaching them on the Sabbath day.
32 And they wor really surprise because of the way he wor teaching, because what he wor teaching came from God.
33 One man in the synagogue wor having demons and he shout with loud voice and say:
34 “What you want from us, Jesus the Naz·a·rene′? You come destroy us? I know you good-good, you God holy servant.”
35 But Jesus order it and say: “Close your mouth and move from inside him.” So after the demon throw the man down in front of them, the demon move from inside him and it not hurt him.
36 This one made all of them to really be surprise, and they started telling each other say: “How this man talking so? Because he can talk with authority and power and order the demon dem, and they can come outside!”
37 So the news about him continue to spread all over in the village dem that wor around there.
38 After he left from the synagogue, he enter Simon house. Simon mother-in-law wor having high fever and they ask him to help her.
39 So he stand over her, and make her to get well. And right away she got up and started fixing food for them.
40 When the sun wor going down, everybody started bringing their sick people to Jesus. Even though they wor having different-different sickness, he heal them by putting his hand on each of them.
41 Jesus also move demons from in plenty people. The demon dem wor shouting and they say: “You God Son.” But he give them strong warning and he not allow them to talk, because they knew that he wor the Christ.
42 But when day break, he left from there and went to one place to be by hisself. But the people started looking for him and they came to the place he wor eh. And they try to stop him from leaving them.
43 But he tell them say: “I also need to preach the good news about God Kingdom to other city dem, because that the reason why God send me.”
44 So he continue preaching in the synagogue dem that in Ju·de′a.
