The Thing Dem That Mark Write 15:1-47

15  Right away, before day break the chief priests with the elders and the scribes, in fact, the whole San′he·drin came together to make plan against Jesus. And they tie him, carry him and give him to Pilate.  So Pilate ask him: “That you the King for the Jews?” Then Jesus say: “That just what you saying.”  But the chief priest dem wor saying he na do plenty bad-bad things.  So Pilate started asking him again, he say: “You not get anything to say? See all the plenty thing dem they saying against you.”  But Jesus not say anything, so Pilate wor surprise.  Every year during the Passover, he use to free one prisoner that the people will ask for.  At that time, one man who they call Bar·ab′bas wor in jail with people who went against the government. They kill somebody when they wor going against the government.  So the people came and ask Pilate to do what he always use to do for them.  He answer them and ask: “Yor want me to free the King for the Jews?” 10  Because Pilate knew that the chief priests wor jealous of him,* that why they carry Jesus to him. 11  But the chief priests continue telling the people to ask Pilate to free Bar·ab′bas instead of Jesus. 12  Pilate ask them again: “So wetin I must do with the person yor call the King for the Jews?” 13  They started shouting again: “Kill him on the stake!” 14  But Pilate ask them: “Why? What the bad thing he do?” Still that the more they wor shouting: “Kill him on the stake!” 15  Pilate wanted to satisfy the people, so he free Bar·ab′bas. And after he make them to flog Jesus, he give Jesus to them for them to kill him on the stake. 16  The soldier dem carry him to the governor compound, then they call all the soldier people around him. 17  And they put purple clothes on him and use thorns to make one crown, and they put it on his head. 18  And they started telling him say: “Hello, you King for the Jews!” 19  Also they take the stick and started knocking it on his head, and they wor spiting on him. Then they kneel down and bow down to him. 20  When they finish making fun out of him, they take the purple clothes from on him. And they put his clothes back on him and carry him to nail him on the stake. 21  They also force one man who wor passing to carry the torture stake.* His name wor Simon, from Cy·re′ne. He wor coming from the interior part of the country, and his children dem name wor Alexander and Ru′fus. 22  So they bring him to the place they call Gol′go·tha, when you translate it, it mean, “Skull Place.” 23  When they reach there, they give him wine that wor mix with one drug they call myrrh, but he not agree to drink it. 24  And they nail him on the stake and they divide his clothes by throwing something that look like dice to know who will take which part of his clothes.* 25  Then they nail him on the stake. By that time it wor around 9 o’clock in the morning. 26  And they write something to show the reason why they wor killing him. It say: “The King for the Jews.” 27  Also they put two criminals on stakes side him, one person on his right hand side and the other person on his left hand side. 28 * —— 29  And the people who wor passing started saying all kindna bad-bad thing dem to him, they wor shaking their head and they wor saying: “Haha! Ehn that you say you will break the temple down and build it in three days, 30  save yourself now by freeing yourself from the torture stake.”* 31  That the same way the chief priests and the scribes started making fun out of him among theirself. And they wor saying: “He save other people, but he can’t save himself! 32  Let the Christ, the King for Israel, free himself from the torture stake,* so that we can see it and believe it.” Even those who wor on the stakes side him wor cussing him. 33  The whole place got dark from 12 o’clock to 3 o’clock in the day. 34  And around three o’clock in the day, Jesus shout with loud voice and say: “E′li, E′li, la′ma sa·bach·tha′ni?” when you translate it, it mean: “My God, my God, why you na leave me?” 35  And when some of the people that wor standing around there hear this one, they started saying: “See! He calling E·li′jah.” 36  Then somebody run and take the sponge and soak it in sour wine, and put it on one stick and give it to him to drink, and say: “Leave him, let see whether E·li′jah will come move him from there.” 37  Then Jesus shout with loud voice and he die. 38  And the curtain that in the temple tear from up all the way down. 39  When the army officer who wor standing there looking at him saw that he na die, and saw all the thing dem that happen, he say: “For true-true this man wor God Son.” 40  And some women dem wor also there watching from far off. Some of them wor Mary Mag′da·lene, James* and Jo′ses mother Mary and Sa·lo′me 41  who use to follow him and help him when he wor in Gal′i·lee. And plenty other women dem who came with him from Jerusalem wor there. 42  It wor late in the afternoon, and because that wor the Preparation Day, that mean the day before the Sabbath, 43  Joseph from Ar·i·ma·the′a, came. This man wor part of the San′he·drin and people really use to respect him, he wor also waiting for God Kingdom. He wor brave to go to Pilate and ask for Jesus body. 44  But Pilate wor not sure whether Jesus already na die. So he call the army officer and ask him if Jesus already na die. 45  So after making sure from the army officer, he allow Joseph to take the body. 46  After Joseph buy fine linen cloth and take Jesus body down, he wrap it in the cloth and lay him in the grave that he made in the rock. Then he roll one rock to close the grave. 47  But Mary Mag′da·lene and Mary, Jo′ses ma, continue looking to the place they bury him.
