The Thing Dem That Mark Write 5:1-43
5 Then they reach to the other side of the sea in the area they call Ger′a·senes.
2 And as soon Jesus got down from the boat, one man who wor having demon came from the graveyard to meet him.
3 He wor living in the graveyard. And until that time, when they tie him, he use to loosen himself even if they tie him with chain.
4 Plenty time they use to tie him with chain, but he use to cut the chain and nobody wor having the strength to control him.
5 And every day and night, he use to be crying in the graveyard and in the mountains and cutting himself with rocks.
6 But when he saw Jesus from far off, he run to him and bow down to him.
7 Then he shout with loud voice, and say: “Jesus, Son of the Most High God, what you want from me? I want you to swear to God that you will not punish me.”
8 Because Jesus wor telling it say: “Move from in the man, you demon.”
9 But Jesus ask him: “What your name?” Then he say: “My name Legion,* because we plenty.”
10 And the demons continue to beg Jesus to not send them out of the area.
11 That time, plenty pigs wor eating on the mountain.
12 So the demons beg him and say: “Please allow us to enter in the pigs.”
13 Then he allow them. So the demons move from in the man and enter in the pigs, and the pigs rush to the edge of the mountain and fall down in the sea. About 2,000 pigs die in the sea.
14 But the people who wor taking care of the pigs run and carry the news in the city and all the area around the city, and people came to see what happen.
15 So they came to see Jesus and they saw the man who wor having demons before. He wor sitting down with clothes on him and he wor alright, and they got scare.
16 Then the people who saw the thing dem that happen, explain how the man who wor having demons got well, and what happen to the pigs.
17 So they started begging Jesus to leave their area.
18 Then when Jesus wor getting in the boat, the man who wor having demon before beg Jesus to go with him.
19 But he not agree. He tell him say: “Go home to your relatives, and tell them all the thing dem Jehovah* na do for you and how he feel sorry for you.”
20 So the man went and started telling people in the De·cap′o·lis* all the thing dem Jesus na do for him, and all the people wor really surprise.
21 After Jesus use the boat to go to the other side of the sea again, plenty people came to him, and he wor near the sea.
22 Then one of the big man from the synagogue came, his name wor Ja′i·rus. When he saw Jesus, he kneel down to him.
23 He beg him plenty time and say: “My daughter dying. Please come heal her* so she can get well and live.”
24 So Jesus follow him, and plenty people wor following Jesus and pushing and getting close to him.
25 And one woman wor there who wor having sickness that make her to lose blood for 12 years.
26 She really suffer in plenty doctor dem hands, and she spent all her money, but still she not get better, she got worse.
27 When she hear about the thing dem Jesus na do, she pass among the people, and came from behind him and touch his clothes.
28 Because she wor telling herself say: “If I just touch his clothes, I will get well.”
29 And right away she stop losing blood, and she got to know that she wor heal from the serious sickness.
30 Right away Jesus got to know that power na move from in him, and he turn around among the people and ask: “Who touch my clothes?”
31 But his disciple dem tell him say: “You see the people pushing and getting close to you, and you asking, ‘Who touch me?’”
32 But he wor looking around to see who touch him.
33 The woman wor scare and she started trembling because she know what happen to her. So, she came and kneel down in front of him and tell him everything.
34 He tell her say: “My daughter, your faith na make you well. Go home and don’t worry since you na get heal from your serious sickness.”
35 When he wor still talking, some men dem came from Ja′i·rus house and say: “Your daughter na die! Don’t give the teacher hard time again.”
36 But Jesus hear what they wor saying and he tell Ja′i·rus say: “Don’t be scare, just show faith.”
37 He not allow anybody to follow him beside Peter, James, and John who wor James brother.
38 So they came to Ja′i·rus house and he saw the people really making noise and crying and shouting.
39 After he went inside, he tell them say: “Why yor crying like this and making noise? The child not die but she sleeping.”
40 When they hear it, they started laughing at him and making fun out of him. But after he send them outside, he allow the child ma and pa and his disciple dem to follow him to the place the child wor laying down.
41 Then he hold the child hand and tell her say: “Tal′i·tha cu′mi,” when you translate it, it mean: “Small girl, ‘wake up!’”
42 Right away the girl wake up and started walking. (She wor 12 years old.) And when they saw it, they wor too happy.
43 But he warn them over and over to not tell anybody about what happen, and he tell them to give her something to eat.
