1. What baptism mean?

The word “baptize” coming from one Greek word. It mean “to put” under water. When they were baptizing Jesus, his whole body went under the Jordan River, and then he came “up out of the water.” (Mark 1:9, 10) That the same way they can baptize true Christians by putting their whole body under the water.

2. Wetin baptism show?

When somebody get baptize, it show that the person na dedicate their life to God. How someone can dedicate their life to God? Before somebody get baptize, they can pray to Jehovah and tell him that they want serve him forever. In their prayer, the person promise that they will serve only Jehovah. The most important thing in their life will be doing Jehovah will. The person will choose to “disown himself and keep following” Jesus teachings and example. (Matthew 16:24) When the person give their life to Jehovah and get baptize, it will help them to get close friendship with Jehovah and with their brothers and sisters.

3. How someone can prepare for baptism?

You can prepare for baptism by learning about Jehovah and having strong faith in him. (Read Hebrews 11:6.) The more you know Jehovah and the more your faith grow, it will make your love for Jehovah to grow. It will make you to want preach about Jehovah and to live the way he want us to live. (2 Timothy 4:2; 1 John 5:3) When somebody live “worthily of Jehovah in order to please him fully,” maybe the person will decide to give their life to Jehovah and get baptize.​—Colossians 1:9, 10. a
