Things That People Get Interest In

Principle: “Love . . . does not look for its own interests.”—1 Cor. 13:​4, 5.

Wetin Jesus Do

1. Watch the VIDEO, or read John 4:​6-9. Then answer this question them:

  1.    Wetin Jesus notice about the woman before he start talking with her?

  2.   Jesus say: “Give me water to drink.” Why that was correct way to start talking with somebody?

Wetin We Learn From Jesus?

2. When you talk about things that people get interest in, it will be easy for them to listen to you.

Follow Jesus Example

3. Be willing to adjust. Don’t stick on the topic you already prepare to talk about. Start with something that people thinking about today. Ask yourself this question them:

  1.    ‘What on the news?’

  2.   ‘Wetin my neighbor, workmate, or classmate them talking about?’

4. Learn to observe. Ask yourself this question them:

  1.    ‘Wetin the person doing now-now? Wetin this person thinking on?’

  2.   ‘Wetin the clothes this person wearing, the way they looking, or their house tell me about the thing they belief in or their culture?’

  3.   ‘That the best time here to talk to this person?’

5. Listen.

  1.    Don’t talk too much.

  2.   Encourage the person to express their self. If it alright, ask questions.
