How Jehovah Witness Them De Use Contributions?
We de use contributions to support the work wey our organization de do, to teach people about God and help them when problem dey. This one na part of our main target, and this target na to help people make they fit be disciples of Jesus Christ.—Matthew 28:19, 20.
We no de ever use contribution money to make any person rich. We no de pay elders or any ministers, and we no de pay any Jehovah Witness because say them de preach from house to house. People wey de work for all our branch office and for our world headquarters, even people wey dey for Governing Body, no de collect any salary.
Different-different Work Wey We De Do
We de make books: We de translate, print, transport, and share millions of Bibles and other Christian books every year, and we no de sell any of our book. We still de use our jw.org website and the JW Library app to share our books and other publications wey people fit read for their phone or computer for free and we no de use our website do advertisement wey people go pay us money.
We de build and care for our buildings: We de build and care for the buildings wey we de use for worship for different part of the world. This one de make our congregations get fine place to meet together and praise God. We still de build and take care of branch and translation office them. Na people wey don bring theirself come to work with us for free de do plenty of this work and this one de help us reduce the money wey we for spend.
We de arrange and direct our work: The different-different work wey we de do for our world headquarters, all our branch office and translation office, and all the work wey our circuit overseers de do, na the money wey people contribute we de use support all this work.
We de preach: We no de pay our brothers and sisters to preach the good news or to teach people “the word of God.” (2 Corinthians 2:17) But, just as e be for the time of the first-first Christians, na the same thing we de do for our brothers and sisters wey de use almost all their time support the preaching work. We de support them so that they fit get place to live and other simple things wey they go need.—Philippians 4:16, 17; 1 Timothy 5:17, 18.
We de teach: The money wey we de use to arrange assembly and conventions na from the contribution wey people don make. We still de use this contributions to produce audio and video programs wey go teach people about God. We de get schools to train elders and those wey de preach full-time to fit do their work for the best way.
We de help people wey get problem: Some people don lose all their property because of heavy rain, fire or other things wey don happen. We de use the contribution wey we get to give them food, water and house. This one no be only for “people wey them dey the same faith with us,” but we still de help even people wey no be Jehovah Witness.—Galatians 6:10.
