They born me for the city of Montreal. Na this city big pass for Quebec for Canada. Na there four of us grow, me my older sister, and my two younger brothers. Our papa and mama train us for the fine area of Rosemont. We enjoy peaceful and quiet life together.

 I start to like Bible when I still be small boy. I remember say when I dey 12 years I read about Jesus story for New Testament, and I really enjoy wetin I read. The way Jesus show pity and love for people really touch me sotey I want be like Jesus. But the bad thing be say, I no come de enjoy-am again as I de grow, because I start to make friends with bad people.

 My papa work na to de play saxophone (one musical instrument wey be like trumpet). My papa de give me e instrument to play, this one really make me like music sotey e come be part of my life. I no waste time to learn how to play guitar because of the love wey I come get for music. Small time, I organize some of my friends together and form group wey de play rock music, and we de go perform for different-different show. Some big producers for music industry notice me, and they want promote my music. So I decide to sign contract with one popular record company. My music come popular sotey them de play-am everytime for radio station for Quebec.

 E come be like say I don get everything wey I want. I dey young and popular, I de make plenty money, and I really like my work. For daytime I de go gym to train my body, de do interviews, de give people my signature, and de appear for television. For night, I de perform for party and for shows. I don de drink alcohol since when I still dey small, but I start to take drugs so that I go fit dey bold and perform well so that people go feel me for stage. I come even de live dirty life and de do things anyhow.

 Some people de jealous the way I de live my life because they think say I dey happy. But inside me, I feel say my life no get head, e dey empty especially when I dey alone. Life come over tire me. And the bad thing be say, na the time wey I don really make-am for my music, two of my producers die of AIDS. The thing really shock me! True-true I love the music, but the kind life wey follow-am no good at all.

 Even with all the money wey I get, I know say this world get as e be. How partial and suffer go full every corner? Why God never do something about-am? The truth be say, I de pray to God everytime for answer to all my question. One time when I dey break from all my waka-waka, I start to read Bible again. Even though say I no really understand many of the things wey I de read, I just conclude say the end of this world go don near.

 As I de read the Bible, I come jam the place wey talk say Jesus fast for desert for 40 days. (Matthew 4:1, 2) I tell myself say if I do like that, maybe God fit show me who e be. So I choose date wey I go start. Two weeks before I start, two Jehovah Witness people knock my door, and I tell them to come inside as if I de expect them before. I look one of them wey e name na Jacques straight for e eye and ask say, “How we fit know say we de live for the last days of this world?” Brother Jacques open e Bible and read 2 Timothy 3:1-5 to answer my question. I ask two of them plenty question, and I really happy with the way they use Bible answer me. They continue to come my place, and small time, I come know say need no dey to fast again.

 I come start to study Bible with Jehovah Witness people everytime. As time de go, I cut my long hair and start to go all the meeting for Kingdom Hall. The fine way wey the brothers and sisters welcome me for meeting make me believe more say, I don finally see the truth.

 Before I go fit de do the things wey I de learn from my Bible study, I really need to change some things for my life. And this things dey important. First, I need to stop to take hard drug and stop the dirty life wey I de live. I still need to change the way I de treat people, na only myself I sabi before, I no care about other people. As I don get two children, I need to learn how to show them love and teach them about God. So I stop my work as musician, and find factory work wey the salary small.

 To make all this change no easy at all. I really struggle to stop drugs, but even as I struggle reach, e pass my power sometimes. (Romans 7:19, 21-24) To comot hand from dirty life na serious war for me. The new work wey I de do de make me weak, and the salary too small, all this one really make life tire me. When I still de do my music work, just for two hours, I go don make the money wey I de collect now as three months salary.

 Prayer help me continue to change the way I de live my life, even as e no easy. To read Bible everyday na another important thing wey still help me. Some Bible verse really encourage me. One of them na 2 Corinthians 7:1. This Bible verse encourage Christians to ‘remove all dirty things from their body and spirit.’ Another verse wey make me dey sure say e dey possible to stop bad habit complete na Philippians 4:13, the verse talk say: “For everything I de get power from the person wey e de give me power.” Jehovah answer my prayer and help me to finally understand the truth and do the things wey I de learn. Na this one move me to give my life to Jehovah. (1 Peter 4:1, 2) I baptize as one of Jehovah Witness for 1997.

 I dey sure say, if to say I continue with my dirty life, now I for don die. But now I de enjoy real happiness for life! My better wife Elvie, na correct blessing to me. Two of us de enjoy our full-time service as we de teach other people Bible. This one de really make me glad and I feel say I don get everything wey I need for life.
