5  Now my brothers, as for the times and the seasons wey this things go happen, una no need any person to write to una about-am.  Because una really know say the day of Jehovah de come just like thief for night.  Anytime wey them de talk say, “Peace don dey and we don dey safe!” then God go just destroy them when them no expect, just like the pain wey pregnant woman de feel when e want born, and e no get how them fit escape-am.  But my brothers, una no dey for darkness, so that the day no go surprise una as daylight de surprise thief.  Because all of una na children* of light and children* of day. We no be children* of night or darkness.  So make we no de sleep as the other people de do, but make we dey awake and make our mind dey clear.  People wey de sleep de sleep for night and people wey de drink sotey them drunk, de do-am for night.  But as for us wey be children* of the day, make our mind continue to dey clear and de wear faith and love like wetin soldier de wear to protect im chest, and de wear the hope wey de save us, like helmet for head  because God no choose us to punish* us, but na to use our Lord Jesus Christ to save us. 10  E die for us, so that whether we dey awake or we de sleep,* we go live together with-am. 11  So make una continue to encourage* each other and de make each other strong, just as una don already de do. 12  Now my brothers, we de tell una say make una de show respect to people wey de work hard among una, wey de direct una for the work of the Lord, and wey de advice una. 13  De use love show them more honor because of their work. Make una de make peace with each other. 14  Apart from that one, my brothers, we de encourage una to warn* people wey de do anyhow, to talk wetin go comfort people wey dey sad,* to support people wey dey weak, and to dey patient with everybody. 15  Make una make sure say nobody pay bad with bad to anybody. But, make una always de try to do good to one another and to everybody. 16  Make una always de happy. 17  Make una de always pray. 18  Make una de talk thank you for everything. This one na wetin God want for una as people wey de follow Christ Jesus. 19  Make una no stop the work wey the holy spirit de do inside una.* 20  No treat message from God* anyhow. 21  Check everything well, and hold wetin dey good tight. 22  No put hand for any type of wicked thing. 23  Make the God of peace make una dey holy for everything. And my brothers make una mind,* una life,* and una body, dey well for every way and remain clean reach* when our Lord Jesus Christ go dey around. 24  The person wey de call una de do wetin e talk,* and e go surely do this things. 25  My brothers, make una continue to pray for us. 26  Make una greet all the brothers with holy kiss. 27  I de really beg una with the name of the Lord to make sure say una read this letter to all the brothers. 28  Make the special favor of the Lord Jesus Christ dey with una.
