1  Me, Paul, wey be apostle of Christ Jesus, de use the authority wey I get from God our Savior, and from Christ Jesus wey be our hope,  de write to Timothy* wey be real pikin to me for the faith: Make the special favor and mercy and peace from God our Papa and Christ Jesus our Lord dey with you.  Just as I encourage you make you stay for Ephʹe·sus the time wey I want go Mac·e·doʹni·a, na so I still de do now, so that you go command some people make them no de teach lie-lie teaching,  and make them no listen to lie-lie story and things wey people don write about family history. This kind things no de bring any better thing. But them de only make people talk about things wey them no fit prove, instead of things wey God de give wey de make us get strong faith.  True-true, the reason why I de give this direction* na for us to get love wey come from heart wey clean, from good conscience and from faith wey no de pretend.  Because some people don reject this things, them don join de talk useless talk.  Them want be people wey de teach law, but them no understand the things wey them de talk, or the things wey them really hold strong.  But we know say the Law dey good if person de use-am well.*  Remember say, them no make law for person wey de do the correct thing for God eye. Instead, na for people wey dey against law and wey stubborn, people wey no de fear God and de sin, people wey their love de fail and no care about holy things, people wey de kill papa, kill mama, and other people, 10  people wey de put hand for sex wey no clean,* men wey de sleep with men,* people wey de kidnap people, people wey de lie, people wey de promise and fail,* and every other thing wey dey against the correct teaching.* 11  This teaching agree with the wonderful good news from the happy God, and e don put this good news for my hand. 12  I de thank Christ Jesus our Lord wey don give me power, because e see me as person wey dey faithful,* e give me this work. 13  E do this one even though say before, I de talk bad about God, I de suffer im people, and I no get respect for anybody at all. But God show me mercy because I be no know wetin I de do and I no get faith. 14  But the special favor wey our Lord show me really plenty no be small, and I get faith and love from Christ Jesus. 15  This thing wey I want talk na true talk and na wetin person fit accept with all im heart: Christ Jesus come the world to save sinners. And among all this sinners, na me be number one. 16  But e show me mercy so that as number one sinner wey I be, Christ Jesus fit use me show say e dey patient for everything. Na this one make me be example for people wey go put their faith for Jesus, for them to get life wey no go end. 17  Now, make the everlasting King, wey no fit die, wey person no fit see, wey be the only God, get the honor and praise forever and ever. Amen. 18  My pikin Timothy, this direction* wey I de give you agree with the things wey them don talk about you say go happen.* I de tell you this things so that e go help you continue to fight the fine fight. 19  As you de do this one, make you continue to get faith and good conscience wey some people don troway, and wey don make their faith sink like ship. 20  Hy·me·naeʹus and Alexander dey among this people, and I don give them to Satan, so that this punishment* go teach them make them no de talk bad about God.
