Second Corinthians 4:1-18
4 So since we get this work because of the mercy wey God show us, we no go tire.
2 But we don reject things wey de bring shame, things wey people de do for secret. We no de do things with cunning-cunning, or de spoil* the word of God; but as we de make people know the truth, we de show say we de do the correct thing for God eye, so that the conscience of everybody go see this one.
3 If, true-true, something cover the good news wey we de preach, e cover for people wey de die,
4 for people wey the god of this world* don blind their mind, people wey no believe the good news, so that the light of the wonderful good news about Christ wey be the image of God no go fit shine ontop them.
5 We no de preach about ourself. We de preach about Jesus Christ as Lord and how we don be una slaves because of Jesus.
6 Na God be the person wey talk say: “Make the light shine come out from darkness,” and God don shine the light ontop our hearts to make them shine with the wonderful things wey we know about God, and na through the face of Christ e do this one.
7 But, we get this thing wey get value for inside clay containers,* so that e go clear say the power wey pass our normal power na from God, no be from us.
8 Problems surround us for every way, but no be say e hold us sotey we no fit move; we confuse, but no be say we no get way to come out at all;*
9 them de suffer us, but no be say we dey alone; them nack us for ground, but no be say our own don finish.
10 Our body de always endure the kind suffer wey Jesus face wey fit kill person, so that the life of Jesus fit still show for our body.
11 We wey dey alive de always face death because of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus fit still show for our body wey fit die.
12 So death de work inside us, but life for inside una.
13 Now because we get the same kind of faith,* like the one wey them don write say: “I show say I get faith, so I talk”; we too, de show say we faith and so we de talk,
14 because we know say the Person wey bring Jesus back to life go bring us back to life too with Jesus, and e go give us together with una to Jesus.
15 All this things na because of una, so that the special favor go even de add more-more, because many more people de thank God to honor-am.
16 So we no go tire, but even if the person wey we be for outside de waste de go, true-true, the person wey we be for inside de strong again everyday.
17 Even though say the suffer* na only for short time and na small thing, e de bring us honor wey really big* pass any other thing by far and e de last forever.
18 So we de put eye no be for things wey eye fit see, but na for things wey eye no fit see. Because the things wey eye fit see na only for short time, but the things wey eye no fit see de last forever.
