Second Timothy 2:1-26
2 So, my pikin, make you de get power from the special favor wey Christ Jesus de show.
2 And the things wey you don hear from me wey plenty people support, make you give this things to men wey dey faithful, wey go still really qualify to teach other people.
3 As correct soldier of Christ Jesus, make you dey ready to suffer.
4 Nobody wey de work as soldier de put im hand for* business to make money* for this life, so that e go make the person wey take-am as soldier happy.
5 And even for game, them no de give anybody wey play the game crown unless e don follow the rules to play the game.
6 Farmer wey de work hard, must be the first person to chop from the things wey im farm produce.
7 Make you de always think about the things wey I de talk; the Lord go make you understand* everything.
8 Remember say Jesus Christ wey die, come back to life and na pikin of David e be,* this one agree with the good news wey I de preach,
9 wey make me de suffer and wey make them put me for prison as bad person. But them no fit chain the word of God.
10 Na this one make me de endure everything because of the people wey God don choose, so that God go fit save them too as them be one with Christ Jesus, and them go still get honor forever.
11 This one na true talk: True-true if we die together, we go still live together;
12 if we continue to endure, we go still rule together as kings; if we deny-am, e go still deny us;
13 even if we no do wetin God talk, God go always do wetin e talk because e no go fit do wetin dey against who e really be.
14 Continue to help them remember this things, and tell* them for front of God make them no de quarrel about words. This one na really useless thing because e de cause problem for* people wey de listen.
15 Do your best to make God happy with you, and be workman wey no de shame for im work, wey de handle the word of God wey be the truth for correct way.
16 No listen to empty talk wey dey against holy things, because them go make person do more things wey God hate,
17 and their word go spread like wound wey de chop the flesh de go. Hy·me·naeʹus and Phi·leʹtus dey among them.
18 This men don comot from the truth. Them de talk say people don already come back to life, and this men de destroy the faith of some people.
19 Even with that one, the strong foundation wey God make still de stand, and the thing wey them write ontop na, “Jehovah know people wey be im own,” and, “Make everybody wey de call the name of Jehovah run from bad.”
20 For inside big house, different-different containers* dey. Them make some with gold and silver, but them still make other ones with wood and clay. Them de use some of them do important things, but them de use other ones do things wey no dey important.
21 So if anybody stay far from this ones wey no dey important, e go be like container wey them fit use for important thing, e go dey holy, the person wey get-am go use-am well, and e go dey ready for every good work.
22 So make you run from things wey young people de like to do, but try de do wetin correct, get faith, love, and peace. And de do this things with people wey de use clean heart de call the Lord.
23 Another thing na say, make you reject foolish and useless argument. As you know, this kind thing de cause fight.*
24 Person wey be slave of the Lord no need to fight, but e need to dey gentle* with everybody, sabi teach well, de hold imself when them no treat-am well,
25 and get gentle-heart when e de teach people wey no agree with wetin e talk. Maybe God go fit allow them repent* so that them go fit know the correct teaching wey be the truth,
26 and their sense fit come back and them go run comot from the trap of Devil, since them don see say e catch them alive to do the things wey e want.
