Colossians 2:1-23
2 I want make una know how I de really struggle for una and for people for La·o·di·ce′a and for all the people wey never see me face-to-face.*
2 This one na to comfort their heart and to make them join together as one because of love, and make them get the things wey really get value, wey be the result of the clear thing wey them understand and really dey sure of, so that them go fit know the correct teaching about the holy secret of God. This holy secret na Christ.
3 All the sense and the things wey person fit know wey really get value, hide inside Christ well.
4 I de tell una this one so that nobody go use cunning-cunning words deceive una.
5 Even though say I no dey with una face-to-face, my mind* dey with una. And I de really glad to see say una de arrange things well and una faith for Christ really strong.
6 So, just as una don accept Christ Jesus the Lord, make una continue to waka with-am as one,
7 and make una root continue to dey deep inside Christ, and make una continue to dey strong inside-am* and de stand well for the faith, just as them don teach una. And as una de always do this one, make una de talk thank you.
8 Make una dey careful so that nobody go catch una* with the sense from this world and useless lie-lie. This things come from the tradition of people, the main ideas of the world, and no be from Christ,
9 because all the character wey God get dey inside-am complete.
10 So una don dey complete because of-am, the person wey be head of all government and authority.
11 Because una dey as one with-am, them still circumcise una but no be with hand. Instead, una remove the flesh wey get sin. Na so them de circumcise people wey de follow Christ.
12 Them bury una with-am as una baptize like-am and as una be one with-am, una still come back to life together because of the faith wey una get for the work wey God do with im power. Na this God bring-am back to life.
13 Another thing be say, even though say una die before because of una sins, and because una no circumcise, God make una dey alive together with-am. E use all im heart forgive all our sins,
14 and e wipe the book* wey them use hand write, wey get plenty laws, and wey dey against us. E don remove this thing as e nail-am for the torture pole.*
15 E use the torture pole* naked the governments and the authorities, and e don show for public say e win them and de lead them as prisoners wey e catch.
16 So, make una no allow anybody judge una about wetin una de chop and drink, or about celebration of festival or new moon or Sabbath.
17 This things na the shadow of* the things wey de come, but the real thing na the Christ.
18 No allow anybody to make una no get the prize, anybody wey like to pretend say e de carry body down, wey de worship angels,* and “de stand im ground for”* the things wey e don see. E de carry body up for no good reason because e de think as person wey sin dey im body,
19 and e no join imself well to the head. Na this head de supply the whole body with the things wey e need, and wey de use the joints and muscles to join the body together as one, and de make the body grow with the power from God.
20 If una don die together with Christ, and this one don make una dey free from the main ideas of this world, why una de live una life as if una still be part of the world, as una continue to obey the laws wey talk say:
21 “No take, no taste, no touch”?
22 This things na things wey de spoil after them don use them and wey come from the commands from people and the things wey them de teach.
23 Na true say this things be like wetin make sense, but them no fit help person to fight wetin body want. This things de show for the way people de worship as them like and the way them de pretend say them de carry body down, and for the way them de suffer their body.
