Hebrews 11:1-40
11 Faith na to dey sure of wetin person de hope to get, and the proof to show* say wetin person never see dey real.

3 Because of faith, we know say na the word of God arrange the world* well, so that the things wey we de see come from the things wey we no fit see.
4 Because of faith, Abel give God sacrifice wey get value pass the one wey Cain give. And because of that faith, God make-am clear say e do the correct thing for Im eye because God accept* im gifts, and even though say e don die, e still de talk to us through im faith.
5 Because of faith, God transfer Eʹnoch make e no face death with pain, and e no dey anywhere because God don transfer-am. And before God transfer-am, God make-am clear to-am say e don really do wetin God like.
6 Another thing na say, if faith no dey, e no dey possible to really do wetin God like. Because anybody wey de come near God must believe say e dey* and say na im be the person wey de reward people wey de use all their heart de look for-am.
7 Because of faith, Noah, after e receive warning from God about things wey e never see, e show say e fear God, and e build ark to save im family. And because of im faith, e condemn the world, and e inherit wetin dey righteous because of faith.

13 All this people get faith till them die, even though say them no get the things wey God promise. But them see them from far and accept them with joy and make people know say them be strangers and go stay for only small time for the land.
14 People wey de talk for this kind way de show say them de use all their heart look for their own place.
15 And even with that one, if to say them continue to think about the place wey them comot from, them for get chance to go back.
16 But now, them de try their best to get one better place, and this place na from heaven. So, God no de shame for them make them de call-am their God because e don prepare one city for them.
17 Because of faith, Abraham, when e face test, e just be like say e don already sacrifice Isaac. The man wey get this promise them with joy be want use im only special son as sacrifice.
18 But God don already tell-am say: “The people wey them go call your children* go come from Isaac.”
19 But e reason say God go fit bring Isaac back even if e die, and so e receive-am back as if na from death; and this one na example of wetin go happen.
20 Because of faith too, Isaac bless Jacob and Eʹsau. E tell them about things wey go happen for future.
21 Because of faith, when Jacob want die, e bless each son of Joseph and worship God as e bend ontop im walking stick.
22 Because of faith, as Joseph de near the end of im life, e talk about when Israel people go comot for Egypt,* and e tell them wetin them go do* about im bones.*
23 Because of faith, Moses papa and mama hide-am for three months after them born-am, since them see say the small pikin really fine and them no fear the command of the king.
24 Because of faith, when Moses don grow up, e no gree make them call-am the son of the daughter of Pharʹaoh.
25 E choose make them treat-am for bad way with servants of God instead of to get the enjoyment of sin wey be for short time,
26 because e see say to suffer shame as the Christ better pass the better-better things of Egypt by far; e really wait with all im heart for the reward wey e go get.
27 Because of faith, e comot for Egypt, but e no fear say the king go vex, and e continue to stand strong as e de see the Person wey eye no fit see.
28 Because of faith, e do the Passover and rub the blood for the frame of the door, so that the angel no go kill* their firstborn.
29 Because of faith, them waka pass inside the Red Sea like say na dry land, but when Egypt people try-am, the water cover them finish.
30 Because of faith, the walls of Jerʹi·cho fall after the people don march round-am for seven days.
31 Because of faith, Raʹhab the prostitute no die with people wey no obey, because e use good heart welcome the people wey hide come check* the land.
32 And wetin I go talk again? Because time no go reach me if I continue to talk about Gidʹe·on, Baʹrak, Samson, Jephʹthah, David, even Samuel and the other prophet them.
33 Because of their faith, them win kingdoms, them make the correct thing de happen, them get the promise them, them close the mouth of lions,
34 them quench strong fire, them escape from sword make e no kill them, them receive power when them dey weak, for time of war them get power to fight, them attack and drive armies wey attack them.
35 Women receive their people wey don die back to life, but people really suffer other men because them no gree exchange their faith to get freedom so that them go fit get the resurrection wey better pass.
36 The truth na say as for other people, na laugh and beating them receive as their test. True-true, no be only that one, them chain them and put them for prison.
37 Them stone them, them test them, them cut them into two,* them kill them anyhow with sword, them wear sheepskin and goatskin as cloth, and them no get wetin them need, them face problem, people treat them for bad way,
38 and the world no good for them. Them live for deserts, mountains, caves, and holes for the earth.
39 And even with that one, all this people no get the thing wey God promise, even though say God make-am clear say them do the correct thing because of their faith.
40 This one na because God don already get better thing for mind for us, so that them no go dey perfect before us.*
