John 16:1-33
16 “I don tell una this things so that una no go fall.

6 But because I don tell una this things, una mind don really spoil.
7 But, I de tell una the truth say, na una go gain as I de go so. Because if I no go, the helper no go come meet una, but if I go, I go send-am make e come meet una.
8 And when that one come, e go show the world clear proof about wetin sin be, wetin to dey righteous be, and wetin judgment be.
9 The first one, wey be wetin sin be, na because them no de put faith for me.
10 Then for the mattter of to dey righteous, na because I de go meet my Papa, and una no go see me again.
11 Then for the matter of judgment, na because them don already judge the ruler of this world.
12 “I still get plenty things to tell una, but una no go fit understand them now.
13 But, when that one come, wey be the spirit of the truth, e go guide una to understand everything about the truth, because no be wetin come from im own mind e go talk, but na wetin e hear e go talk. And e go tell una the things wey go happen.
14 That one go honor me, because na wetin e hear from me e go tell una.
15 Everything wey my Papa get na my own, na im make I talk say na wetin e hear from me e go tell una.
16 Small time, una no go see me again, but small time, una go still see me.”
17 Because of this one, some of im disciples come de ask each other say: “Wetin e mean as e tell us say, ‘Small time una no go see me, but small time una go see me,’ and, ‘because I de go meet my Papa’?”
18 Them even still talk say: “Wetin e mean as e de talk say, ‘small time’? We no understand wetin e de talk about.”
19 Jesus know say them want ask-am question, so e come ask them say: “Una de ask each other about this one because I talk say: ‘Small time una no go see me but small time una go still see me’?
20 True-true, I de tell una say una go cry and shout because una no de happy, but the world go happy well-well; una go dey sad, but una sadness go turn to joy.

27 Because my Papa e self get strong love for una, because una get strong love for me and una believe say I come as person wey God send.
28 I come this world as person wey my Papa send, now, I de comot from this world and I de go meet my Papa.”
29 Im disciples come talk say: “You see! Now you de talk straight and you no de use examples.
30 Now we know say you know everything and you no need anybody to ask you any question. This one don make us believe say you come from God.”
31 Jesus come ask them say: “Una don believe now?
32 See! The time de come, the truth be say, the time don come when each of una go run go im own house and una go leave me make only me dey. But I no dey alone because my Papa dey with me.
33 I don tell una this things so that because of me, una go get peace. For the world, una go suffer, but make una dey strong! I don win the world.”
