The name of the slave na Malchus. 11  But Jesus tell Peter say: “Put the sword inside im cover back. I de always teach people for synagogue and for temple, where all the Jew people de gather, and I no hide talk anything. 21  Why you come de ask me questions? Ask the people wey hear wetin I tell them. See! Them know wetin I talk.” 22  When e talk this one, one of the officers wey stand for there come slap Jesus for face and talk say: “Na chief priest you de answer like that?” 23  Jesus come answer-am say: “If I talk anything wey no correct, tell me wetin no correct wey I talk. But if wetin I talk correct, why you slap me?” 24  Then Anʹnas talk say make them carry-am go meet Caʹia·phas wey be high priest, and them still tie-am that time. 25  Now Simon Peter stand for there de warm imself. Then, them tell-am say: “You no be one of im disciples too, abi you be one of them?” But Peter deny-am, e talk say: “I no be one of them.” 26  One of the slaves of the high priest, wey be family person of the man wey Peter cut im ear comot, come talk say: “I see you when you dey with-am for the garden, abi I no see you?” 27  But Peter deny-am again, and at once, cock come crow. 28  Them come carry Jesus from Caʹia·phas place go the place wey the governor de stay, and this time na early morning. But them no enter where the governor de stay so that them no go dirty theirself, and so that them go fit chop the Passover. 29  So Pilate come out come meet them and ask them say: “Which bad thing una de talk say this man do?” 30  Them come answer-am say: “If to say this man no do any bad thing,* we for no carry-am come give you. 31  Pilate come tell them say: “Make una carry-am go, go use una law judge-am.” The Jew people come talk say: “We no get right to kill anybody.” 32  This one happen so that wetin Jesus talk to show the kind way wey e go die, go happen. 33  So Pilate enter im house* again, e call Jesus and ask-am say: “Na you be King of Jew people?” 34  Then Jesus ask-am say: “Na from your own mind you de ask this question abi na other people tell you about me?” 35  Pilate come tell-am say: “I no be Jew person, abi I be Jew person? If to say my Kingdom na part of this world, the people wey de follow me for fight so that them no go carry me give Jew people. But as e be, my Kingdom no come from this world.” 37  Pilate come ask-am say: “So you be king?” Jesus come answer say: “Na you yourself de talk say I be king. Na because of this one them born me and na because of this one I come the world so that I go tell people about the truth. Everybody wey dey for the side of the truth de listen to my voice.” 38  Pilate come ask-am say: “Wetin be truth?” After e ask this one, e come go meet the Jew people for outside again and tell them say: “I no see any bad thing wey e do. 39  Apart from that one, una get one tradition say for every Passover, make I de release somebody give una.
