  • Jesus heal one man wey blind from when them born-am (1-12)

  • Pharisee people de ask the man wey Jesus heal question (13-34)

  • Pharisee people blind (35-41)

9  As e de waka pass, e come see one man wey blind from when them born-am.  And im disciples ask-am say: “Rabbi, na who sin, na this man or im papa and mama, wey make them born-am blind?”  Jesus come answer them say: “No be this man or im papa and mama sin, but e happen like that so that people go see the work of God for im body.  We must do the work of the Person wey send me when day still bright; night de come when nobody fit work.  As I still dey for the world so, na me be the light of the world.”  After e don talk this things, e come spit for ground and mix the spit with sand, then e rub-am for the man eyes,  and tell-am say: “Go wash your eyes for the pool of Si·loʹam” (Si·loʹam mean, “Them Send-am Go”). The man come go wash im eyes and when e come back, e don de see.  Then the neighbors and people wey de see-am before say na beggar e be, come de ask say: “No be the man wey de sitdown de beg be this?”  Some of them de talk say: “Na the man.” Other people de talk say: “No be-am, but e resemble-am.” But the man just de talk say: “Na me.” 10  Them come ask-am say: “So, how your eyes take open?” 11  E answer them say: “The man wey them de call Jesus mix something wey be like potopoto, and rub-am for my eyes, e come tell me say, ‘Go wash your eyes for Si·loʹam.’ So I go wash my eyes, and start to see.” 12  When them hear this one, them come ask-am say: “Where the man dey?” E tell them say: “I no know.” 13  Them come carry the man wey blind before go meet Pharisee people. 14  E come happen say the day wey Jesus mix something wey be like potopoto take open im eyes so, na Sabbath day. 15  So this time, the Pharisee people too come de ask the man how e start to see. E tell them say: “E rub something wey be like potopoto for my eyes, I come wash my eyes and start to see.” 16  Some of the Pharisee people come de talk say: “This man no come from God, because e no de follow the Sabbath law.” Then other people talk say: “How person wey be sinner go fit do this kind miracles?” Because of this one, them no come agree with each other. 17  Them come ask the blind man again say: “Wetin you go talk about-am, as e be say na your eyes e open?” The man come talk say: “Na prophet e be.” 18  But the Jew people no believe say the man blind before and say na now e don de see, until them call the papa and mama of the man. 19  Then, them ask them say: “Na una pikin wey una talk say e blind from when them born-am be this? So how e come de see now?” 20  Im papa and mama come answer them say: “We know say na our pikin be this, and say e blind from when we born-am. 21  But we no know how e take de see now, and we no know who open im eyes. Make una ask-am, no be small pikin e be. Make e use im own mouth answer.” 22  Im papa and mama talk this one because them de fear the Jew people, and that na because the Jew people don already agree say if anybody talk say Jesus na Christ, them go pursue that person from synagogue. 23  Na im make im papa and mama talk say: “No be small pikin e be. Make una ask-am.” 24  So for the second time, them call the man wey blind before and tell-am say: “Make you praise God, we know say this man na sinner.” 25  E come answer them say: “Whether na sinner e be, I no know. Wetin I know be say, I blind before, but now I fit see.” 26  Then, them ask-am say: “Wetin e do for you? How e take open your eyes?” 27  E come answer them say: “I don already tell una before, but una no listen. Why una want hear-am again? Abi una want be im disciples too?” 28  Them come de use-am do yeye, de tell-am say: “You be disciple of that man, but we be disciples of Moses. 29  We know say God talk to Moses, but as for this man, we no know where e come from.” 30  The man come tell them say: “This thing de really surprise person, say una no know where e come from, still, e open my eyes. 31  We know say God no de listen to sinners, but if anybody de fear God and de do wetin e want, e de listen to that person. 32  From olden days, nobody don ever hear-am say somebody open the eyes of person wey blind from when them born-am. 33  If to say this man no come from God, e no go fit do anything at all.” 34  Then, them answer-am say: “You wey them born with sin wey full your body, na you come de teach us?” Them come throw-am put for outside! 35  Jesus come hear say them throw the man outside, and when e see-am, e ask-am say: “You de put faith for the Son of man?” 36  The man come ask-am say: “Oga, who e be, so that I go put faith for-am?” 37  Jesus come tell-am say: “You don see-am, and the truth be say, na im de follow you talk so.” 38  Then e talk say: “Lord, I de put faith for-am.” E come bow down for-am. 39  Then Jesus talk say: “Na this judgment make me come this world, so that people wey no de see go see, and people wey de see go blind.” 40  The Pharisee people wey be dey there with-am hear this things wey e talk, and them ask-am say: “We blind too?” 41  Then Jesus tell them say: “If to say una blind, una for no get sin, but now, una talk say, ‘We de see.’ So una sin still dey with una.”
