12 As this one de happen, when plenty people wey reach many thousands don gather together sotey them come de match each other, e come first start to talk to im disciples say: “Make una dey careful because of the yeast of Pharisee people, wey be, to de pretend.
2 But e no get anything wey them sofri cover wey them no go later open make people see, and e no get any secret wey people no go later know.
3 Na im make anything wey una talk for darkness, them go hear-am for light and anything wey una dey inside una room talk small-small for person ear, them go announce-am ontop house.
4 Another thing be say, I de tell una, my friends, make una no fear people wey fit kill only body, but after that one, them no fit do anything again.
5 But I go show una the person wey una suppose fear. Make una fear the Person wey be say after e don kill, get authority to throw-am inside Ge·hen′na.* Yes, I de tell una say make una fear this Person.
6 People de sell five sparrows* for two coins wey get small value, no be so? Still, God no de forget anyone of them.*
7 As for una, e even know the number of hair wey dey una head. Make una no fear, una get value pass plenty sparrows.
8 “I de tell una say, everybody wey talk for front of people say e know me, the Son of man go still talk for front of the angels of God say e know-am.
9 But anybody wey talk for front of people say e no know me, I go still talk for the front of the angels of God say I no know-am.
10 And anybody wey talk against the Son of man, God go forgive-am, but anybody wey talk bad word against holy spirit, God no go forgive-am.
11 When them bring una to come talk for where plenty people gather,* for front of people for government and people wey get high position, make una no too worry unaself about how una go talk or wetin una go talk to defend unaself or any other thing wey una go talk,
12 because holy spirit go teach una for that very time, the things wey una suppose talk.”
13 Then one person among the plenty people come tell-am say: “Teacher, tell my brother make e give me my own share of the property wey our papa leave for us.”
14 E ask the person say: “My friend, who make me judge or person wey go settle the matter wey two of una get?”
15 Then e tell them say: “Make una open una eye well and dey careful so that una no go get any kind of long throat,* because even when person get plenty things, no be the things wey e get de give-am life.”
16 So e come give them one example say: “One rich man land produce well.
17 So e come de reason for im mind say, ‘Wetin I go do now, as I no get anywhere wey I go keep the things wey I harvest?’
18 Then e talk say, ‘Na wetin I go do be this: I go scatter the house them wey I de keep the things wey I harvest now, and build the ones wey big pass them and na there I go gather all the things wey I harvest and all the things wey I get.
19 And I go tell myself* say: “You* get plenty things wey you don gather wey go last for many years; relax, chop, drink, enjoy yourself.”’
20 But God tell-am say, ‘You wey no get sense, this night them go take your life* from you, so who go get the things wey you don gather keep?’
21 Na so e go be for the man wey de gather things keep for imself but e no be rich man for God eye.”
22 Then e tell im disciples say: “Na im make I de tell una say make una stop to overworry about una life* about wetin una go chop or about wetin una go wear for una body.
23 Because life* dey important pass food and body dey important pass cloth.
24 Make una think about the birds wey them de call raven. Them no de plant seed or de harvest, them no get where them de gather food put, or house wey them de store things put, still, God de give them food. Una no get value pass birds by far?
25 Who among una fit add small time* join im life because e de overworry?
26 So if una no fit do that kind small thing, why una de overworry about the other things?
27 Make una think about how flowers de grow. Them no de work or sew cloth,* but I de tell una say even with all the fine-fine things wey Sol′o·mon get, e no dress reach any of this flowers.
28 Now, if God de make the flower for bush fine like this, wey be say e go dey today and tomorrow them go throw-am for fire, una no think say na una e go even help more to get cloths, una wey get small faith?
29 So make una stop to de worry about wetin una go chop and wetin una go drink and make una stop to de overworry;
30 because na all this things the people of the world de really struggle to get, but una Papa know say una need all this things.
31 Instead, make una continue to put im Kingdom as number one thing for una life and e go add this things for una.
32 “Make una no fear, una wey be small group of sheep, because una Papa don gree say e go give una the Kingdom.
33 Make una sell the things wey una get, and give gifts to help poor people.* Make una get money bag wey no de spoil, wey be better-better things wey no de ever finish for heaven, where thief no fit near and insect no fit chop them.
34 Because na where una better-better things dey na there una heart go dey too.
35 “Make una wear una cloth and dey ready and make una lamps de shine,
36 and make una be like men wey de wait for their oga to come back from the marriage so that when e come and knock the door, them go open for-am at once.
37 Those slaves go happy when the oga come back and see say them de really watch. True-true, I de tell una say e go wear cloth wey them take de serve and tell them say make them sitdown for table, then e go come serve them.
38 And if e come for the second watch* or even for the third one, and see say them ready, them go happy!
39 But make una know say, if to say the owner of the house know the time wey the thief go come, e for no allow make them break im house enter.
40 Make una ready too, because na the hour wey una no think say the Son of man go come, e go come.”
41 Peter come ask say: “Lord, na only we you de use this example for, abi na for everybody too?”
42 The Lord come talk say: “Who really be the faithful servant,* the one wey get sense, wey im oga go choose to take care of all im servants,* to de give them food wey them need for the correct time?
43 That slave go happy if im oga come back and see say e de do this one!
44 True-true, I de tell una say e go choose-am make e take care of all the things wey e get.
45 But if e ever happen say that slave talk for im heart say, ‘My oga de delay to come and e start to beat the men and women servants, de chop and de drink, and come dey drunk,
46 the oga of that slave go come for the day wey e no expect-am and for the hour wey e no know, and e go give-am the worst kind of punishment and e go put-am join people wey no obey.
47 Then that slave wey understand wetin im oga want but e no ready or do wetin e tell-am,* them go flog-am many strokes.
48 But the slave wey no understand wetin im oga want and e come do things wey go make them flog-am, them go flog-am small. The truth be say, anybody wey them give plenty things, them go expect plenty things from-am, and anybody wey them choose to take care of plenty things, them go expect extra from-am.
49 “I come light fire for the earth and if the fire don already catch, wetin I want again?
50 The truth be say I get one baptism wey them go use baptize me and my mind no go come down until e don finish!
51 Una think say I come to make peace dey for the earth? No, I de tell una say, I come scatter people.
52 Because from now go, five people wey dey one house no go dey as one, three go dey against two and two go dey against three.
53 Them no go dey as one, papa go dey against son and son go dey against papa. Mama go dey against daughter and daughter go dey against mama. Husband mama go dey against im pikin wife, and wife go dey against im husband mama.”
54 Then e still tell the plenty people say: “When una see cloud wey gather for west, una go just talk say, ‘Heavy rain want fall,’ and na so e de happen.
55 And when una see say breeze de blow come from south, una de talk say, ‘Heat go dey no be small,’ and na so e de be.
56 Pretenders, una know how to look the earth and the sky and know how weather go be, but why una no de fit know the meaning of wetin de happen for this time?
57 Why una by unaself no fit decide the correct thing wey una suppose do?
58 For example, when you and person wey get case with you de go meet person wey de rule, as una dey road de go, make you try to settle the matter with-am so that e no go carry you go stand for front of judge, the judge go come carry you give prison officer and the prison officer go put you for prison.
59 I de tell you say, you no go ever come out from there until you don pay the last small coin* wey you get.”
