6  Now, for one Sabbath day when e de pass farm wey them plant things,* im disciples come de pluck some of the things for the farm, de rub them for their hand de chop.  When some of the Pharisee people see them, them come talk say: “Why una de do wetin una no suppose do for Sabbath day?”  But Jesus ask them say: “Una never read wetin David do when e and the men wey dey with-am de hungry?  How e enter the house of God and collect the bread wey them put as offering to God,* chop-am and give some to the men wey dey with-am, something wey nobody get right to chop, but na only priests?”  Then e tell them say: “The Son of man na Lord of the Sabbath.”  For another Sabbath day, e enter the synagogue and start to teach, and one man wey im right hand don die* dey there.  The scribes* and the Pharisee people come de put eye for Jesus well-well to see whether e go cure person for Sabbath day, so that them go see wetin them go take hold-am.  But e know wetin them de think, so e tell the man wey im hand don die* say: “Stand up, make you stand for center.” E come stand up and stand for there.  Then Jesus tell them say: “Make I ask una, e good to do better thing for Sabbath day or to do bad thing, to save life* or to destroy-am?” 10  After e don look all of them round, e tell the man say: “Stretch your hand.” The man come stretch im hand and the hand heal. 11  Them come de provoke for nothing, and start to talk with each other about wetin them go do Jesus. 12  One day, e go mountain go pray, and e use the whole night pray to God. 13  And when day don break, e call im disciples come and choose 12 from among them wey e still call apostles: 14  Simon, wey e still call Peter, Andrew im brother, James, John, Philip, Bar·thol′o·mew, 15  Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Al·phae′us, Simon wey them de call “the one wey de put all im heart for work,” 16  Judas the son of James, and Judas Is·car′i·ot, wey later sell Jesus give im enemies. 17  Then e come down with them and stand for flat place, and plenty-plenty people wey be im disciples be dey there, with plenty-plenty people wey come from the whole Ju·de′a and Jerusalem and the area wey near sea for Tyre and Si′don. Them come listen to-am and still want make e cure their sickness. 18  Even people wey wicked spirit de disturb, e cure them. 19  And all the plenty people de try to touch-am because power just de comot from im body de heal all of them. 20  E come look im disciples and start to talk say: “Una wey poor go happy, because the Kingdom of God na una own. 21  “Una wey de hungry now, go happy, because una go chop belleful. Una wey de cry now, go happy, because una go laugh. 22  “Una go happy anytime wey people hate una and wey them pursue una comot and insult una and de spoil una name say una be wicked people because of the Son of man. 23  Make e sweet una for that day and make una really happy, because see! una go get big blessing for heaven, because na the same things their papa-papa them be de do the prophets. 24  “Una go suffer, una wey be rich people, because una no go get any other thing pass wetin una get now. 25  “Una go suffer, una wey don belleful now, because una go hungry. “Una go suffer, una wey de laugh now, because una go really feel sad and cry. 26  “Una go suffer when everybody de talk better things about una, because na wetin their papa-papa them do to the lie-lie prophets be that. 27  “But I de tell una wey de listen to me say: Make una continue to love una enemies, de do better things for people wey hate una, 28  de bless people wey de curse una, and de pray for people wey de insult una. 29  If anybody slap you for one side of your face, turn the other side give-am too, and if person collect the cloth wey you wear ontop, allow-am collect the one wey you wear inside too. 30  Anybody wey beg you for something, give-am, and anybody wey de carry your things comot, no tell-am to bring them back. 31  “Another thing be say, just as una want make people do to una, make una do the same to them. 32  “If na people wey love una, una love too, wetin una gain? Even the sinners still love people wey love them. 33  And if na people wey de do good for una, una de do good for too, wetin una gain? Na the same thing even sinners de do. 34  And if na people wey go fit pay una back una de borrow money,* wetin una gain? Even sinners de borrow sinners money so that them go fit get all their money back. 35  Instead, make una continue to love una enemies, and de do good to people, de borrow to them and no expect anything back; and una blessing go plenty and una go be children of the Person Wey High Pass, because e de do good for wicked people and people wey no de talk thank you. 36  Make una continue to pity for people just as una Papa de pity for people. 37  “Apart from that one, make una stop to de judge, and them no go ever judge una. Make una stop to condemn people, and them no go ever condemn una. Make una continue to forgive* people and them go forgive* una. 38  Make una de give, and people go give una. Wetin them go pour for una lap na wetin them measure well, wey them press down, shake together, wey full sotey e de troway, because na wetin una de use measure give other people, na im them go use measure give una.” 39  Then e give them another example say: “Blind person no fit lead blind person, e fit? Two of them go fall inside pit, no be so? 40  Student* no de big pass im teacher, but anybody wey them teach well go be like im teacher. 41  So, why you come de look the small dirty wey dey your brother eye, but you no de see the big wood wey dey your own eye? 42  How you fit tell your brother say, ‘My brother, make I comot the small dirty wey dey your eye,’ when you no de see the big wood wey dey your own eye? Pretender! First comot the big wood wey dey your own eye, then you go fit see clear to comot the small dirty wey dey your brother eye. 43  “Because no good tree de produce fruit wey don rotten and no tree wey don rotten de produce fine fruit. 44  Na the fruit wey tree produce them go take know-am. For example, people no de pluck fig fruit from chuku-chuku plant and them no de cut grapes from chuku-chuku tree. 45  The good man de bring good things from the better-better things wey dey im heart, but the wicked man de bring wicked things from the bad-bad things wey e get, because na the things wey full person heart, im mouth de talk. 46  “So, why una de call me ‘Lord! Lord!’ but una no de do the things wey I talk? 47  Anybody wey come meet me, wey hear the things wey I talk and do them, I go show una who e be like: 48  E be like man wey want build house, wey dig ground go down well-well and put the foundation of the house ontop rock, so when river overfull and bring flood come, the water hit the house, but e no fit shake-am, because them build-am well. 49  But anybody wey hear the things wey I talk and e no do anything, be like person wey build im house for ordinary ground without foundation, then the water from river hit-am, at once e fall and e scatter finish.”
