8  Small time after this one, e come de travel from city to city and from village to village de preach and de tell people the good news about the Kingdom of God. And the 12 apostles dey with-am,  together with some women wey e don pursue wicked spirits comot from their body and cure their sickness: Mary wey them de call Mag′da·lene, wey Jesus pursue seven demons comot from im body,  Jo·an′na wey be the wife of Chu′za, the man wey de take care of Herod house, Su·san′na, and plenty other women wey be de use their things help them.  Now when plenty-plenty people don gather together with the people wey de come meet-am from city to city, e use one example talk to them:  “One farmer go plant im seed. As e de plant, some of them fall near road, people come match them and the birds wey de fly for up come chop them.  Some of them fall ontop rock, and after them don grow come out, them die because water no dey the ground.  Other ones fall for where chuku-chuku dey, and the chuku-chuku wey grow with them, kill them.  But other ones fall for better soil, and after them don grow come out, them produce 100 times pass wetin them plant.” As e de talk this things, e come raise im voice talk say: “Make person wey get ear to listen, listen.”  But im disciples ask-am wetin this example mean. 10  E talk say: “Na una them don allow to understand the holy secrets about the Kingdom of God, but for the rest, na just example e be, so that even though say them de look, them no go see anything and even though say them de hear, them no go understand wetin them de hear. 11  This na wetin the example mean: The seed na the word of God. 12  The ones wey fall near road, na the people wey be say them don hear the word, but Devil come take the word wey them don hear comot from their heart so that them no go believe and make God save them. 13  But the ones wey fall ontop rock na the people wey be say when them hear the word, them accept-am with joy but them no get root. Them believe for small time but when time of test come, them fall comot. 14  As for the ones wey fall for where chuku-chuku dey, this na people wey don hear the word but them allow overworry, money, and enjoyment of life to carry them comot and e kill them kpatakpata, and them no fit even produce fruit wey mature. 15  As for the ones wey fall for better soil, this na people wey be say after them don hear the word with open and good heart, them hold-am tight and them produce fruit even as them de endure. 16  “Nobody wey be say, when e light lamp, e de cover-am with container or put-am under bed, but e go put-am ontop lampstand so that people wey de come inside go fit see the light. 17  Because e no get wetin them hide wey no go come out make people see-am and e no get anything wey them sofri cover wey people no go know or wey no go open for people to see. 18  So make una dey careful for how una de listen, because anybody wey get, them go give-am more, but anybody wey no get, even the one wey e think say e get them go collect-am from-am.” 19  Now, im mama and im brothers come meet-am, but them no fit near where e dey because of the plenty people. 20  So them come tell-am say: “Your mama and your brothers stand for outside, them want see you.” 21  E come answer them say: “My mama and my brothers na this people wey de hear the word of God and de do-am.” 22  One day, e and im disciples enter inside boat and e tell them say: “Make we cross go the other side of the lake.” So them start to go. 23  But as them de go, e come sleep. And one strong breeze come start to blow for the lake and water come start to full their boat and e nearly sink. 24  So them go meet-am and wake-am up, de talk say: “Teacher, Teacher, na die we de die so!” So e get up and command the strong breeze and the water wey just de move up and down, and them stop, everywhere come quiet. 25  Then e ask them say: “Why una no get faith?” But fear don really catch them and them surprise no be small de ask each other say: “Who this person really be? Because e de command even strong breeze and water and them de obey-am.” 26  Them come reach where land dey for Ger′a·sa people area, wey dey the opposite side of Gal′i·lee. 27  As Jesus come down from the boat, one man wey demon dey im body come meet-am from the city and the man never wear cloth for long time and e no de stay inside house, but e de stay for where them de bury people. 28  As e see Jesus, e shout and kneel down for im front, and talk with loud voice say: “Wetin concern me and you, Jesus, Son of the God Wey High Pass? I de beg you say make you no punish me.” 29  (Because Jesus be don de command the wicked spirit* say make e come out of the man. The spirit don enter the man body plenty times,* and people don use chain tie-am plenty times and them go put person to watch-am, but e go cut the chain and the demon go make-am go different-different place wey people no dey.) 30  Jesus ask-am say: “Wetin be your name?” E talk say: “Na Legion,” because many demons don enter im body. 31  And them continue to beg-am say make e no command them to go enter inside abyss.* 32  That time, plenty-plenty pigs be dey there ontop the mountain de chop, so them come de beg-am say make e allow them enter the pigs, e come allow them. 33  So the demons come out of the man and enter inside the pigs, na so all the pigs rush go the edge of the mountain, fall inside the lake and die for inside the water. 34  But when the people wey de care for the pigs see wetin happen, them run go tell people about-am for the city and for all the area wey dey around the city. 35  Then the people come out to see wetin happen, them come meet Jesus and see the man wey the demons comot from im body. E wear cloth and sitdown near Jesus, and im head don correct. So fear catch the people. 36  The people wey see wetin happen tell them how Jesus take heal the man wey demon be dey im body. 37  Then plenty people wey come from the area wey Ger′a·sa people de stay come de tell Jesus say make e comot from their area because fear de catch them no be small. Then Jesus enter boat comot from there. 38  But the man wey demons don comot from im body continue to beg Jesus say e want stay with-am, but Jesus no gree, e tell the man say: 39  “Go your house, and make you continue to tell people wetin God don do for you.” So the man comot, and start to tell people for the whole city wetin Jesus don do for-am. 40  When Jesus go back to Gal′i·lee, the people welcome-am well, because all of them don de expect-am. 41  But see! one man wey im name na Ja′i·rus come meet-am, this man na leader for synagogue. E kneel down for Jesus front and start to beg-am say make e follow-am come im house, 42  because im only daughter* wey dey around 12 years don nearly die. As Jesus de go, the plenty people de tight-am and de press-am. 43  And e get one woman wey get one sickness wey make blood de comot from im body for 12 years, and nobody don fit cure-am. 44  E come from back and touch the down part of the cloth wey Jesus wear ontop. At once, the blood wey de comot from im body stop. 45  So Jesus ask say: “Who touch me?” When all of them talk say no be them, Peter come talk say: “Teacher, plenty people de tight you and de press you.” 46  But Jesus talk say: “Somebody touch me, because I know say power comot from my body.” 47  As the woman see say Jesus don know wetin e do, e come out, de shake, kneel down for Jesus front and tell-am for front of everybody why e touch-am and how e just well at once. 48  But Jesus tell-am say: “My pikin, your faith don make you well. Go, make e better for you.”* 49  As e still de talk, person come from the house of the leader of the synagogue and talk say: “Your daughter don die, no worry the Teacher again.” 50  When Jesus hear this one, e tell-am say: “Make you no fear, just get faith and e go dey alive.”* 51  When e reach the house, e no allow anybody follow-am enter, except Peter, John, James, and the girl papa and mama. 52  But all the people de cry and de nack theirself because e pain them say the pikin die. E come talk say: “Make una no cry again because e no die, na sleep e de sleep.” 53  When them hear this one, them come start to laugh, de use-am do yeye, because them know say the pikin don die. 54  But e hold the girl hand and tell-am say: “My pikin, get up!” 55  Then, the pikin come back to life* and stand up at once. Jesus come talk say make them give the pikin something to chop. 56  The papa and mama of the pikin happy no be small, but e tell them say make them no tell anybody wetin happen.
